You Make My Wuglyees Smile!

     Thanks to all of the wonderful comments you all left me all over the web yesterday, I didn't wake up a bit 'blue' this morning...not that I do most mornings anyway! :-] I wake up achy, in slow motion, chatty, thoughtful and half out of it....but not 'blue'! Except for the things that are filling my view! And my Blue Diamond-Look Crochet Flower Necklace (in the header photo) is filling up my view this morning because it got noticed!
      Cindy, of CinnLynnBoutique, picked it for a Treasury she did!!
      The Treasury is entitled Cobalt--An Awesome Color!
      It really is an awesome color, isn't it?!! And she picked so many beautiful items from the different Etsy shops that I would have to RE-post her whole Treasury in order to show it to you!! :-) So instead I'm just going to tell you to PLEASE click HERE and check it out! There's even some blue FLOWERS over there! :-)
    I will show you some blue from her own Etsy shop though. (She didn't put anything from her shop in the treasury.)
        Above are her Striking Blue Candy Jade and Copper Earrings...So Pretty!
     ... But there's also in her shop all kinds of other beautifully blue jewelry, like these Blue Chinese Glass and Sterling Silver Earrings...
       ...these Blue Chalcedony and Sterling Silver Earrings...
      ...this Turquoise Blue Lampwork Purse Dangle...
      ...and this Blue Quartz Bracelet!
      Considering her pretty the blue is in her own shop, I'd say that when she set her mind on doing a blue Treasury she knew what she was doing! :-) And I'm thankful she chose something of mine to be in it!...Thanks Cindy! :-)
    Okay, on to other news!...Remember this box?! :-) I know! I know! It has more 'Green' in it than blue this time around, but I'm hoping that the person whose name comes out of it won't be 'blue'! ;-)
        As usual, Mr. Ashy Big Hand reached into the box, after an inordinate amount of shaking, and pulled a winner of the Giveaway for this 1st of the month. This afghan/blanket...
      ...is going to...
     ...Creating Trouble!...Congratulations!! My 'baby' is all ready for it's overseas trip, if you want it! Just leave me your address in my email. :-)) {And if you don't want it, no problem. Just let me know so it can go on to the next person.}
     Now, last but not least today, guess what I've been doing?!...And No, it's not blue. It's purple...suede!
      Yep! I've been working on the "CROCHETED" pattern for the Slouch hat! :-)
      It's coming along nicely! I'm finding that it's probably not going to be as 'flowy' as the knitted one though. But that's probably my fault. I should have used a larger crochet hook, I think. But whatever! I'm going to finish it and see what it looks like, and then maybe I'll make another one using a larger hook and some GREEN suede yarn that's calling my name...W-U-G!!!!! LOL
       Ohhh! So many 'blue' reasons to smile today!!

Reasons To Smile

I don't really need a reason,
to let out a great big grin;
But I do from time to time,
just to exercise my chin.

Sometimes I do it just to see
what reaction I will get,
in the places where I've gone,
and the people that I've met.

Sometimes it's just for me!
To amuse some silly thought;
Or to show just how excited
I have been at what I bought.

Sometimes a smile can change my mood,
when weather forecasts make me blue;
Or when I see a baby playing!
Oh yes! Oh Yes! I smile then too!

Truth is, I really don't need a reason.
Frowns just,frankly, aren't my style.
I could sit and write about it,
But even that would make me smile.

    Second....WOW!! I'm speechless! Can you believe it? Thank you so much for featuring my treasury, and items from my shop in your post! You are really a great friend for sure! I was about to re-arrange that treasury after reading a bit more tips on making them just to see how it looks.

  3. The jewelry is beautiful! I just love blue! The poem is perfect too. At the hospital we had an inservice about smiling. Can you believe that? We had to be reminded to smile at every person we see...it does have an effect that spreads and helps to lift spirits. I try to remember to lift my chubby cheeks (top ones!) every day!

It was after school and we hadn't seen each other for some time and she said that of it's good to see you, you are always so happy :D I didn't even know people thought of me like that! :P My mum has said that I was a happy kid too so I guess it's in my blood ;)
    Oh, congrats to the winner! :)))
