It Was Me and The Robins Today!!

Me and the robin spent a day exactly alike. Wandering around, enjoying the weather, looking for food, and day-dreaming...Well, I assume the robin was day-dreaming, because how could I know?! LOL And HEYYYY!! No "bird-brain" jokes either!! ^_^
I was just thankful to see Blogger back up this evening...and my post from yesterday back in it's rightful place!...It was a little annoying. I'm not gonna lie! But I survived! :-)) Thanks to a healthy dose of robin watching and being on hummingbird look-out.
Unfortunately I didn't see a single hummingbird all day!! :-( I saw the robin.....I saw that my tree has flowers coming up on it now...
...But no hummingbirds!
I did have something else to take my attention too though.....Yoyos and a beautifully colorful Yoyo bag! :-) I've been working on the bottom base all day...
I think it's coming along just fine! :-) And guess what?!...I finished the base and I connected the Yoyos to the base already!!! I'll show it to you in tomorrow....that is, if Blogger let's me!...I'm gonna just play it by ear. Hey! There's much more important things going on to get myself all riled up about!...Trust me on that!!
Just a quick update on my dad...He went back to his doctor today. He found out that he has nerves at the bottom of his spine {he's sitting on them...OUCH!!} that are not healed yet. That's part of the reason he's in so much pain! Apparently he thought the doctor said it should be all better and healed in 6 weeks. But the doctor actually said it could be up to a YEAR!!....YIKES! Needless to say, he wasn't happy about that!
But the other part of the problem is that he has bone chips loose now too! The doctor has him on anti-inflammatory medication, and muscle relaxers...Sooo fun for him!...NOT! But at least it curtailed some of the pain for him. I'm glad about that!
Okay, I'll see you tomorrow....HOPEFULLY!!! LOL

Balance

You teeter totter, in the middle,
Lean a little, OOPS! You're off!
Now you know that you're not balanced,
and you hope the ground is soft.

It's not easy to achieve,
and once you have it, to maintain.
In almost every part of life
our balance is so hard to gain.

You have to balance your emotions,
how you eat, and how you spend.
And when you're balancing your checkbook,
try to keep a level grin.

Staying somewhere in the middle
takes a conscious, careful touch,
because it doesn't take a lot
to go from balanced to 'too much'!

So try to keep a balanced eye,
a balanced plate, and balanced life.
Keep your feelings all in check,
and minimize the stress and strife.

And don't compare your sense of balance
to your neighbor's...you're alone.
Because your neighbor's also trying
to get some balance of his own!

Nice blog, with all the high tech items we have today it's so easy to just forget about nature- a free movie that doesn't cost a penny and you can sit back and enjoy, how I like say that's in "panoramic HD" haha! You know it's really nice sometimes to just sit back and just watch animals and nature around us. And I liked the crotched(sp) things in the pics too btw it's so nice the colors..because you know I'm all about the colors I love 'em lol :)

  2. T. Thomas, Thank you for such a nice comment...And so true about nature. Also, it wouldn't matter to me about all the high-tech stuff. I probably couldn't figure out how to use that anyway!! LOL I live a simple life. I like what I like, and I stay in my lane...crochet and poetry alley. ^_^ Speaking of which, I'm glad you like my colorful bag. I'm having so much fun making it!...Have a good weekend!

  4. Alittlesprite, Thank you! I agree! It's looking so good! And yes! Your instructions are perfect so far. I only have had one issue so far...figuring out where to start when I was going to connect the yoyos together. But I figured it out! Thank you for being so careful when you wrote them! :-) Have a good weekend too!

  5. You are right, it's all about keeping a balance, and most importantly not to compare your life to anybody else's..

I'm an outdoor type of girl, so I love nature and all its wonders.

ps. I can't tell you how grateful I feel about this job..relieves some stress of our shoulders.

have a wonderful weekend my friend!

Gosh I feel bad for your Dad. I hope it doesn't take 12 months before he feels a lot better. I can only imagine how sore he must be.

  11. J0-anne, I'm glad I didn't lose any either...at least for now. I'm trying to enjoy each post and not put too much 'Angst' into them. I could drive myself nutty!....I guess I should say 'Nutti-er'! LOL...I'm so glad you like the bag! I know...it ain't no hedgehog, but it's colorful!! LOL...And as to my dad, Just talking to him after he came from the doctor's yesterday, I could tell he was feeling better. I think his pain was more emotional, worrying about what his remaining years would be like. The doctor assured him that he's be better...and it relieved him! Funny how our minds can lead our body down strange roads. That's why I find it so important to protect what goes into mine! :-)) Thank you for your concern. And have a good, stress free, and quiet weekend. ;-)
