The Yoyo Bag, and Nothing But The Yoyo Bag!

        Yes, it's another Yoyo bag post! ^_^ But, just so you know, there won't be many more because I'm almost done with it!!...* Is that applause I'm hearing?...in my house?! ^_^ * So, for the ALMOST last time, let me show you where I am with it...
     Isn't it coming along nicely?! :-) But there's more!!...First though, let me take a short break here to tell you that tomorrow is the drawing for the GIVEAWAY blanket!! You can see it , and see the rules to enter, HERE.
     Okay, back to the photos...
        Ta-dah!!!....And this is what the bottom looks like...
       I was even able to get my hubby to hold it up for me, so I could show you what it will look like in a hanging position!
       So, what do you think?!...It does have a kind of retro feel to it, but not as much as I initially thought it would. I think the colors are making the difference...Anyway, I'll be working on the top part today, after a Bible Study I'm conducting this morning. Gotta get God's business taken care of first....that's my balancer. :-)
     Okay, Have a good weekend everybody!! Do a little playing and talking to the children, a little robin or hummingbird watching, a little snuggling with your honey, a little eating of something good, or whatever makes you happy! :-) Just enjoy it!! {F.Y.I., mine is gonna include some tennis watching too!...on the road to the French Open Tournament, YAY!!!}
   {Today's poem is one I did before, but I've re-worked it and added a couple of stanzas...So, it's new now! ^_^}

Weekend

Weekend Folderol;
Lolly-gagging, having fun;
Makes working up to Friday
worth the paperwork you've done.

Your job, all week, came first,
but now it's time for a little jaunt;
or to lay around the house
and just do nothing, if you want!

A little this. A little that.
A bit of fun had out of doors.
A little weeding in the garden.
And a little bit of chores.

Some weekend folderol,
all alone or with your friends.
Or some chit chat with your neighbors,
new acquaintances or kin.

A Weekend that's all planned,,
or simply finding things to do;
Because every Monday will be back
and you'll need something to look forward to!

  3. Lookin good my friend!!! I love the color combination on it! Some of my favorite colors there! Thank you hubby for holding it up! Gives us a good idea of the size too.

    I read your post from yesterday, but didn't comment on it. You know, the hummers love the homemade nectar the best especially if you make it a bit sweeter. I learned that when I got my first one. Suggestion.......Try some in the first feeder and hang it where you can see it and see if it makes a difference. Most likely they'll choose it. Just sayin'!

    Have a great Sat!

  4. ooo.. love the brown as the main colour. Yours looks way neater than mine. But then I was still only a beginner when I made it, and I don't make things easy on myself..LOL!

  6. Silke, Thank you very much! I got the pattern from Shannon at Alittlesprite blog. She made one with red as the main color. I loved it, and she sent me the pattern! I'm really having a ball with it...all the colors you know. ^_^ It won't be long before it's done now. That's what I'm doing this weekend. I hope you find something as focusing to do too...painting or sketching perhaps! :-) Whatever it is, have a good one!

If you sold it, how much did you charge...just curious. :-))))

  12. Jo-anne, Thank you!! And I actually call that color chocolate brown! Sorry though, it's not eatable. :-))) I was worried that it would look really old fashioned when it was done, but I'm actually loving it! And I'm thinking already about doing another one with black, white and cream shades. {Guess I love it more than I thought! LOL} How are the hedgehogs coming along?! I'll check your blog later to see for myself! :-) Have a good rest of the weekend too!
