I LOVE You.....

While in one of 'those' conversations with my hubby yesterday I found myself constantly saying I love 'this, and I love 'that', and blah! blah! blah! about all the other stuff! LOL But it just made me think how there are things that we all kinda gravitate to naturally, but we don't always stop to talk about.
Like...I love that my hubby is still mentally in the 70s. ^_^ No, really! I love it! It makes for really good conversations, and a laugh is always waiting around the corner! He really doesn't know that he's mentally in the 70s...until I have to snatch him into reality every once in a while. LOL
    I mean...shorts, white knee-high socks, and a firm fitting T-Shirt that says "The Bar-be-cuer", with a picture of a man with a burnt up head that's got smoke fumes going up from it, holding a large 3-pronged fork, standing in front of a grill?! LOL {I'm not allowed to take a picture...except with my words! ^_^}
This morning as he was getting dressed for work he felt the need to tell me the 'funniest thing' that happened to him yesterday! {While he was pulling on his dark blue work T-Shirt, and tucking it over his....Uh-hmmm...'little' belly} A girl in one of his stores saw him and she started laughing hysterically!!
I asked him why. He said: (In the most serious 'do-you-believe-that?' voice you ever heard) "She wasn't talking 'to' me, but she was pointing at me and talking to one of the other guys. She said: 'Ha! Ha! Jeff has got boobies!'
This was my 'outside-Good-Wife' face...O_0 ...The 'inside-Bad-Wife' was giggling to beat the band!! But he never saw her face!!....I said: "What did you do?!!!" He said: "Nothing! I just walked away!!" I said: "Were you mad?!" he said: "Nah!...Whatever!!"...And he meant it too!! It really didn't phase him!...Me?! I would not have been in a 70s kind of mood! Letting it be groovy and rolling off my back. LOL That's why I love...him!
I also LOVE our backyard and neighborhood these days! And I'm not just talking about the flowers, or the weather (which has been crazy, by the way. Ridiculous rain and thunder storms one day, beautiful sunny skies the next day, and blisteringly hot and humid the next!...The last one is what we have in store today! It's suppose to get up to 98 degrees Fahrenheit!!!)
Here are some photos hubby took of the yard and the neighborhood recently...
I don't know what these are. I forgot to ask hubby. But I love them!
They're really getting ready to open up too...whatever they are! They blow gently in the wind and give the backyard a kind of 'Oklahoma' feeling, ♫ '...where the wind comes sweeping round the plain...'♫ ^_^
And the rest of the neighborhood is pretty cool too! Bustling streets that have large moments of complete quiet, sculptured lawns and driveways, and beckoning mountains in the near distance.
Makes you almost want to live in Holyoke!....Wait a minute! I 'do' live in Holyoke!! And I love it! :-)
       I also LOVE fruit! Berries...
...watermelon, plums, nectarines, and whatever other fresh fruit I can get my hands on right now!...I wish I only liked it fresh and by itself. But I also love fruity desserts!...And chocolate and mint!! LOL You may have seen my posts the last few days...HERE and HERE!...Chocolate 'is' a fruit though...right?! ^_^
Talking about it so much was bound to lead to this....
YUM!!!!! :-) What would it have been like if I had had peanut butter to go with it?!!!
        ^_^ It's just a good thing I didn't have any...and that I'm not a dog!!
So, I know it's kinda silly...

...but I love my mentally 'from the 70s' husband, my neighborhood, and peanut butter eating dogs everywhere!! ^_^ And that I 'can' love stuff like that when the weather and things in the world are going kinda crazy, makes me love me too!! :-)

"I Love Me!"

I love me.
I love the happy me.
I love the fact of me.
I love the silly me.
I love me.

I love the confident me.
I love the cooking me.
I love the sexy me.
I love me.

I love the cuddly me.
 I love the caring me.
I love the beautiful me.
I love me.

I love the supportive me.
I love the sporting me.
I love the giddy me.
I love me.

I love the quiet me.
I love the talkative me.
I love the pensive me.
I love me.

I love the sensitive me.
I love the thoughtful me.
I love the world, with me.
I love me.

I love the patient me.
I love the stylish me.
I love the smiling me.
I love me.

I love the creative me.
And the one who created me,
because he helps relate to me
why I love me.
And I do love me!

  6. First off, that story about the man "boobies" is hilarious! Sorry Jeff! I can just imagine it! LOL The flowers ready to open are the flowers that come from Hosta plants. I have a lot of them in my yard. They look pretty there in Holyoke! What a nice place you live.

  13. Those flowers you love are like Holyoke Home said(hostas)...and my Mom used to cut them off ours when I was a kiddo..she hated them! One person's yuck is anothers yum! Oh, and we would call hostas "man eater plants" when I was little because we had them growing along side our sidewalks and every year they would get bigger and bigger and we were sure they would "get" us..crazy but I "love" those memories...thanks for reminding me of them with this post!

You always help me with the 'particulars'. :-) I just know what I love to look at, but you all actually know what they are! Thank you!...And thank you for sharing the story about the 'man eating hostas' too! LOL Oh! The things we think up when we're little!!! ^_^

  16. That girl should not have said that about your husband. He handled the situation better than I would. I would have said something (only because my feelings would have been hurt). I love fruit (in pies:) and chocolate mint too. I love your blog too!!

  19. s + b, Awwwww! We're inspiring somebody?! And here we were thinking we were just doing our thing and getting through the bumps and curves...just like everybody else!!!...I still think that's all we're doing! LOL But if it's inspiring somebody....okay. I get inspired by other people all the time too! Even when they have no idea. ^_^ And...just sayin'...I think marriage has gotten 'a bad rap' these days. It's pretty wonderful as long as you don't think that you're the only perfect one in the relationship!! LOL And if communication is very high on your 'to-do' list! :-) I think you two are doing pretty good in that direction already!

  20. Shelley, I agree! She shouldn't have said it...but he's got the right attitude..."She has the right to say it. I've got the right to ignore her!" LOL A lesson to live by! ^_^ You and I also agree on our fruit...and chocolate mint! :-) ... And thank you so much for such a nice expression about my blog too! I'm glad somebody is enjoying my ramblings! ^_^
