Some Things Are Just Ugly!!

     I finished it!! :-) I'm not gonna let a little arthritic stabbing pain stop me from crocheting!!....O-U-C-H!!!  ^_^ And, while it's not the most beautiful thing I've ever done....In fact I'd even use the word 'Ugly'...I like it!!
        Of course my view could be a little skewed this morning, considering that I was up and down all night with hubby...keeping an eye on something else that was ugly....an ugly water leak! O_0
      Yep! Something sprung a leak! We had a fast drip coming out, and a wall that started bubbling!! And calling repair people ...when it's their three day holiday weekend...was not pleasant!!
       We kept getting responses like: "My hands are tied", and "I'm sorry. I can't help you!" O_O So, we were on 'Keep-Your-Eye-On-It-To-Make-Sure-The-Floodgates-Don't-Open-Up!' watch, all night!...Every three hours the bucket that was catching the water had to be emptied!...*shaking my head*...UGH!
       So, pain or not, I was thankful to have my 'Ugly Wuglyee' to work on...
       I don't know if you can really see it, but the ends of the scarf...with the rose and beige mixed thick part...is sorta like the feel of fur. Soooooo soft!
      My photography makes it look like there's some blue in there! LOL But there's no blue. Just a brownish beige and a rose red sorta kinda. :-))
     In the other sections of the scarf there's chocolate brown, some micro-fiber black (that's in between each section), and some fuzzy pink...
        Oh yeah.....it's a 'Wuglyee' alright!! :-)
       It looks very nice on Tina, out there in the backyard. Hopefully somebody will be able to visualize themselves in it...wherever they live! :-] ...Anyway...my new 'Ugly Wuglyee Crochet Scarf' is now on sale in my Wuglyees shop!! :-)
      We have a lot of enjoyment of the backyard going on these days...besides Tina I mean. ^_^ I'll share some photos of what I mean tomorrow...In the meantime, hubby and I are gonna have some breakfast....yes, he's home! (waiting for the plumber...or a wall of water to come barreling through! LOL)...and then try to make the best of the day. Hey!....at least he's home! :-)
       Have a good day everybody!! :-)

For all the Mondays

For all the Mondays that come around,
and all the Fall leaves gently falling down;
For all the wet soil, caked and brown,
and all the worms it must have drowned;

For all the honking, and chatty sound
from all the folks scurrying round the town;
For aching feet and hearts that pound;
and lists and nerves to be unwound;

For bags and keys that hit the ground,
when well-tired bodies fall in a mound;
For deals and prices that do astound,
and all well worth it, pound for pound;

For all the Mondays that come around,
and all the weekends gone with a frown;
For adjectives needed, not just a noun,
Much thanks to Mondays that come around.

  1. Whew! I'm relieved he's home! I was worried about you and your painful hands trying to empty the bucket every 3 hours. What an ordeal!! I sure someone gets there to fix for you today.
    I LOVE your new scarf!! The colors are fabulous!! I don't think it's a bit ugly! I'm sure you'll find a home for it quickly!
    Enjoy your breakfast. I have to get going myself! Work to be done! :)

  2. CinLynn, Hi Bead! Yeah, I'm relieved he's home too, but of course this means he'll have to work on Saturday now! Grrrr! But at least I don't have to worry about the wall today. In fact, we think the leaking stopped now. We just need to wait for the repair guy now. So much fun!!!....NOT! :-)) And are you joking about my Ugly Wuglyee...or do you really like it?! ^_^ I thought I'd be the only one!!...Anyway, have a good day my friend. I'll be going along with you...in spirit. :-]

  6. delia, Awww! Thanks so much...I kinda like it too. I'm glad I'm not the only one. :-) And yes, the leak was stopped. The repair guy came and drilled a hole or something to release the water in the wall. Now it has to dry out, and then we'll take it from there. I'm just glad I didn't have to learn how to swim...indoors! ^_^

  13. For an 'ugly' scarf it sure is beautiful.
    I'm glad to hear that the water leak has stopped but I hope you manage to find out what caused it.

  14. Jo-anne, Ha! Ha! Those are my sentiments exactly! ^_^ Of course I'm slightly biased about my 'Ugly babies'. So, the fact that you like it too makes me feel pretty good! :-)) Thank you Jo!...And yes we did find out what caused the leak....a burst hot water heater. But it's all fixed now. The wall is almost all dry too. Then it'll need a little Spackle and paint and DONE! :-) Too bad that's not the same for toothaches, huh?! ^_^
