WOW! What Is Going On Here?!!

There's a lot that I don't know about what's going on around here, but one thing I do know is that hubby and I really needed to get away on our Friday Date Night! We've been couped up, side-tracked, distracted, and 'down-right out-of-sorts' this week. So our 'Virtual Date Night' tonight had to be a place of relaxation...
Let me see if you can guess where we're going. Here is two clues:
1. We're going on Safaris...but it's not anywhere near Africa.
2. It's the only place under United States jurisdiction where the rule of the road is to drive on the left! :-)
I can't wait to see what you come up with! But I'll tell you all about it tomorrow! :-) Today....Phew! I'm already tired and I didn't even get started on telling you what's going on around here...right here! Where do I start?! Where do I start?! O_0
I know! Let's start with this!...
This box came in the mail yesterday! :-)) You know how much I love a box!! :-)) Wanna know what was in it?!...Remember the Giveaway I won on Vicki's blog, 2 Bags Full?! The Vera Bradley purse?!...
         Well, that's what's in the box!! ^_^
I think it's their 'Get Carried Away Tote'...Good name because I'm about to get carried away telling you about it!!!! LOL...First, let me just say: WooHoo!!!! It's got color!! :-) And I mean lots of it too!...
Not to mention that it also has a beautiful quilted look, and flowers all over it! :-) ..Yes, I know you know I would have loved it no matter what it looked like! I mean it's a handbag! What's not to love?! :-)) But I REALLY love it!!
And Vicki threw me off when she described it as a 'purse'. I was thinking "purse", as in small enough to keep some loose change and your car keys in! But Oh No! This ain't no purse! At least not in my neck of the woods it ain't! This is a full-on gorgeous handbag, pocketbook, tote!...
When I opened the flap and saw this whole box full of my new Vera Bradley "purse" I fell head over heels in 'Pocketbook Love'! :-) ...Not the same kind of love as perfect 'kitten heel' shoe love', or jewelry box, good book, or Ben & Jerry's New York Super Fudge Chunk ice cream love...but 'run-your-fingers-all-over-it, sniff-the-fabric, and find-stuff-to-put-in-it-right-away' love!! :-)
And...Oh Yeah, It's gorgeous inside too!...
Just so you can see the size of it, I had Mr. Wug model it for me...{He's not the same as my headless model Tina, but pretty close! LOL}...
Isn't it nice?!...Vicki, THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU!!! I needed another "purse"!....Well, Okay I really DIDN'T need another purse! But I've already got my new headbands housed in it, so it's not going anywhere Mr. Wug!!!...*sorry..had to stop for a strong declaration! LOL*
Speaking of headbands, that's something else that's going on around here! I made another one!...
It's a pretty red, with a red and purple crocheted flower. I made it with the softest...and hardest thing in the world to photograph...angel hair yarn...
I was gonna put a button on it, but it looked so pretty without one that I decided to leave it 'as is'...
I know you're probably asking yourself now..."Are you done with the headbands for a while now?" And the answer is: NOT BY A LONG SHOT!! ^_^ I've found something new to do with all of my extra yarn!! Headbands!......Well, headbands and an occasional necklace or two.
I've been experimenting with new designs and shapes for my crocheted necklaces. This is the first one that I've finished. It's just made with some odds and ends of yarn I had leftover...
It's my attempt at a diamond shape...What do you think?!
Hubby really liked this one! He said he liked the little bird with the white breast and red beak in the middle too!....I didn't have the heart to tell him that I wasn't trying to crochet a bird in the middle!! LOL It's just the way the leftover threads landed...Hey! If he wants to see random abstract birds in my work, who am I to tell him he can't?!! ^_^  In fact, I'm the type of wife that goes and gets music to play, to accompany his delusion...a song like 'The Chicken Dance song'! LOL
Okay, I'm about to finish up with the things going on around  here. And since tonight we're going to.......Oops! I almost 'let the cat out of the bag'!...*Left turn....why is a cat in a bag in the first place? And why is he in there so tightly that he has to be let out?! O_0 ...Expressions we use and don't know why! LOL*........Right turn, back to where I was...I thought I'd share some fresh fruit with you to put you in the right mood. :-) ...Tangerines to be exact!...
And as pretty as this tangerine is, I'm not talking about this tangerine. (above)...... I'm talking about this tangerine (below)...
It's a Tangerine Treasury, cultivated by littlebugjewelry. :-) Very pretty!! And it's got so many pretty items in it too...including the necklace in the header photo...and these...

       And, of course mine!....
So there you are! That's what's going on around here....*deep breath*...A whole lot of stuff and a whole lot of nothing all that much! :-))
Okay.....lastly, don't forget to enter the Giveaway if you want the Wuglyee scarf I'm giving away this time! (HERE) And please have a good weekend! :-)

 Have a good weekend!

Spend some time with your kids,
do the errands you been meaning to do,
do a little grocery shopping,
maybe make a chicken stew.

Organize your messy space,
clean the closets, throw things out,
watch a little mindless T.V.,
and replace the bathroom grout.

Take a walk around the park,
play some board games with your friends,
maybe even cut your hair
(but just a little bit, off the ends).

Take a trip to Grandma's house,
do some gardening in the yard,
give new projects a little finish,
but nothing that might be too hard.

It's the weekend, after all;
It's your week's tail, at a wag;
No need for scurry, hurry, rushing.
No! You want this time to lag!

I'm not sure where you're heading, but I may have to agree with Tiffany about the Virgin Islands. St. John, Tortolla...all on the right side of the road.
Grand Cayman's too! My guess is one of those places!!
Have fun. I'm supposed to go to a going away party, but the way I'm feeling, I may have to stay home. :(
