Giveaway...And Other Stuff I've Been Up To!

    (martinjovev)
I saw this framed print and started giggling. It made me think about how comfortable I've gotten on my computer...especially considering that...no kidding...less than three years ago I was completely computer illiterate! I didn't know anything about the computer, and I didn't 'want' to know anything about the computer!!
If it hadn't been for my need to sell my crochet items in a venue that I could manage...and some girlfriends who meticulously de-mystified the computer for me...I would still be in the dark...computer-wise. And I'd probably be up to my neck in crocheted items!!
Well.....I'm still up to my neck in crocheted items! ^_^ But at least now I'm hopeful that they'll be going to other people's homes soon!....PLEASE!!!! LOL
Before I show you what crochet items I've been working on the last couple of days, let me tell you who won the December 1, 2011 Giveaway...Today!...
It's Cindy...of CinLynn Boutique's Blogspot....Congratulations Cindy!! :-) Just let me know what color you want, and I'll get it in the mail for you right away!!...The new Giveaway, which will be drawn on December 15, 2011, is this small headband...
You can find more photos of it, along with rules to enter, HERE. :-)
Okay....I don't know if any of you have seen it, but I did a headband in a soft blue color and put it in the shop yesterday...
I liked the color, and the softness, of the yarn so much that I decided to make a scarf...a new designed scarf!...with the same yarn!...
It's the same yarn, but I did two different patterning styles all the way down...every four inches. One section is my normal scarf pattern, but the other is the headband pattern. I really like it!...Hubby?...Not so much. But that's alright. He's entitled! ^_^ Plus...he's not the one who would be wearing it! ^_^ ...As you can see, his lack of enthusiasm about it didn't stop me from making it!
Then this morning, to finish up some more of my extra yarn, I made two new flowers!...Yes! I'm still making them! LOL...
The brown one is probably gonna go on a headband, or I'll slip it into a package as a free gift for a customer. The one with the heart-shaped button is for a gift box. I put ribbon loops on the back so that it can be secured to the top of a gift for someone you love. :-) That's why I used the flowery heart button.
In other news, I'm not sure if hubby and I will have a 'Date Night' this week. There's something 'wonky' going on at his job...I'll tell you about it later...so, I think we just need to stay at home and relax this weekend!...Maybe we'll update our 'couples blog' though. We didn't do it last weekend, so we're behind a week...That'll be sorta like a date, right?!  Just letting love fill up the empty spaces. ^_^
I've got some studying to finish today, for my meeting tonight. And then maybe it'll be back to the headbands! Or...who knows!! LOL...What are you all working on?! Share, will ya! :-]

 Love Fills The Holes

Isn't  it wondrous,
this life that we live,
the holes we fill up
from the love that we give?

Even the hard times
make wonders abound,
because of the memories
of times safe and sound.

The good times, they come,
they fill us, they flow
and leave behind a smile,
like the hard rain's  rainbow.

So, its the love that keeps growing,
that adds wonder to life;
because no matter how peaceful,
or how full of strife,

Isn't  it wondrous,
this life that we live!
Cherish it always-
for the holes it will fill.

Also....I LOVE the new scarf! I love that color blue anyway, but the two patterns really make it unique. (sorry hubby...you loose this time. Teehee!)

I'm going to the Dr. today. Getting my eye looked at. Much better, but still red and watery. I need to be sure I'm not contagious!
