What A Thrill!!

I couldn't help myself this time...using my own handmade flowers for my header photo I mean. :-) For some reason when I saw the photo, with the flowers arranged in this little floral triangle, they looked liked a face full of smiling flowers! :-) A thrill for the customer who custom ordered them...and a thrilling addition to my little Wuglyees Etsy shop!...even if only for a few hours! LOL
I shipped these little flower 'babies' off to my customer yesterday...

She probably won't need them, but I also put little loops on the back of them...for slipping a necklace chain through...

I think she's sewing them onto the bottom of a cowl. But just in case she only needs two on the cowl, she now can wear the third one as a necklace...if she wants! :-) I also made another one, slightly bigger (2 & 1/4 inches...5.7 cm), and with the same color...but in a different style...

She didn't take that one though. It's still in my shop --> HERE <-- waiting for just the right customer...or for Calgon...to 'take it away'! LOL...Ahhhhh! Old Commercials!...Thrilling!! ^_^ ...Speaking of which....as I take a complete left turn away from what I was talking about! ^_^...Did any of you see the 'cat caper' Doritos commercial during the Super Bowl the other night?! LOL...

I was talking about this commercial more than I was talking about the game the next day! {Of course, some of that had to do with the fact that WE LOST!...but whatever!! ^_^ ...Okay, screeching right turn...back to what I was talking about.....Wait!...O_O...What was I talking about?!....OH!!! Now I remember!...Thrilling things!!
I got a big thrill last night when I saw that, yet again, one of my crochet necklaces had gotten chosen for a treasury! :-) This time it was one that looks sorta like the custom flowers I just sold! It's the little yellow and black one with the gold flower button in the center...

It was chosen for the treasury entitled.........wait for it! ^_^.......life's a thrill on Marvel Hill! :-)

It was curated by Yvy of the shop thecarboncrusader. And it's such a pretty treasury too...with some thrilling items in it. Like, for instance these...

Aren't they pretty?! :-] ... And pretty thrilling too! ^_^ Almost as thrilling as my other pastime yesterday...eating  Goldfish Crackers!! ^_^

I hadn't had any in.....well....forever! :-) And as things go when you haven't had something in forever, they were good...but not as good as I remember them being. For some reason they seemed lighter, more airy or something. Like puffed rice...with a cheese flavor...Maybe my memory is faulty...or else they've changed the Goldfish formula!...*gulp!*...No! Say it isn't so!!! :-)) Don't tell me the "THEY" of the Goldfish making world have gone health conscious or something!!!!...EEK! ^_^

That's alright....I still have these little thrilling 'babies'...

...apple flavored Jolly Ranchers!! ^_^ The candy that,...in the world of hard candies,...is the Cadillac of flavored candies!!...I had a couple of them yesterday too!...Thrilling!!!...What can I say....I'm easy to thrill! LOL
Okay...I finished all of my studying for our meeting tonight...So it'll be me, a crochet hook, some black and white flower coin pillow covers, and a dream, today! :-) A dream that maybe I can finish them both and move on to the next thing on my 'To-Do' list!! LOL
Don't forget to check out the scarf Giveaway...right hand sidebar. Click the picture of the scarf for details. The drawing is on the 15th!...If I get up to 300 followers by then, the next Giveaway will be an afghan blanket! :-)
Have a good day everybody!!!...with a little poem and song of retro memories from my youth! :-)

Soul Train's Don Cornelius

I don't usually write poems in this fashion,
about particular people who have died,
but when I heard about Don Cornelius
the words just flowed out while I cried.

"Soul Train" was a touchstone to my youth.
A place to escape that was rare to find.
I could forget about how bad I had it,
and just boogie down that 'Soul Train Line'.

The dancing was sometimes bad,
but the music was sheer delight!
Songs of love and people together,
Smokey Robinson and Gladys knight.

I'm thankful for Youtube videos,
and my memories, intact, though old.
And as Don Cornelius would say:
'I wish you peace, love, and soul'!

    1. Ha! Ha! I wish I knew how to relate it to an English counterpart!...They're a crunchy, cheese cracker shaped like a goldfish. If you click the link on the word goldfish above it'll take you to Wikipedia where it talks all about them! :-] I'm afraid Wikipedia doesn't have a "buy now" button though. Ha! Ha!

    1. Thank you, Dee! That poem is kind of a departure...subject-wise...from my usual poetry. But I became very nostalgic and weepy when I heard he died. Poetry naturally came next. :-]...Also, thanks for the nice words about my crocheted flowers! If they were cheesy goldfish I'd eat 'em!! LOL Have a good rest of the day!

  10. Those flowers look very pretty. I am sure that your customer will love them :)
Thanks for sharing that Doritos commercial. It was so funny. It kind of reminds me of how easy it is to bribe my boys with food lol. We never get to see the super-bowl ads here unless we look them up on youtube.

    1. Aww! Thanks about the flowers, Jo! I hope the customer does like them!...And I'm glad to be able to share the commercial too. It was the only one I really liked this year. And that's unusual! Usually I'm giggling my way through all of the commercials during the Super Bowl! Good ones were 'few and far between' this year...But who doesn't love Doritos anyway!! ^_^
