Lacy...Snowy...Rainy...Foggy...Wet...Lying...Weekend!

This weekend has been a mixed bag, if ever there was a mixed bag! We've had weather people 'lying'....like "Uh Oh!" lying!... all over the place, about what we already had, what was coming....and what was here now !!
Although, I guess there could be a difference of opinion on whether they were actually 'lying' about things or not!...Uhhhh Yes! There "can" be a difference of opinion about that. I know...because me and hubby had one...a difference of opinion I mean! LOL...He says: "The weather people didn't 'lie'! They just "read" the weather patterns. They don't put 'em in place!"
But I say: "Yeah, but if you read the weather pattern and you say a certain something is gonna happen...and it doesn't...isn't that 'lying'?!!...I mean, even if it's unintentional, isn't it still a lie?!!" O_O Hubby still says no it isn't!....I say: 'They lied!' LOL...You can choose for yourself! ^_^
ANYWAY!!!!...It's been a mixed bag...The only good thing about it is that hubby didn't have to go out and work in it! :-] We've actually had a pretty relaxing, lazy, weekend. The tax info is all together to take to the preparer tomorrow. Some plans are in place for some great spiritual activity for March. And for some focus on my little crochet poetry business! :-)
And......I have another item that's been picked for an Etsy treasury! :-] ...

The treasury is entitled: Lacy Weekend...

...and it has some really pretty flowery, lacy items in it...including those pretty earrings in the header photo!...I also love that a lot of it is crochet!...See!

Thanks Osnat! :-) ...(Owner of the Etsy shop Omiya)

Not much else is planned for hubby and I today, except for a meeting this morning, some crocheting this afternoon, and doing some laundry and grocery shopping.  All the real plans start as the new week will begin...Job hunting, a month of special activity as Bible teachers, getting the taxes done...finally!, and a little bit of this and that, with a healthy dose of giggling and music stuck in there too, with hubby around. We've got a lot of catching up to do. :-)
What are your plans this week?!...Are you looking forward to it?!...Let's hope a weather person 'lying' to you is not on the list!! ^_^

Catching Up

I see life from my perspective.
And it's always a full cup.
I rarely see the glass half empty.
I don't let much interrupt.

But now I find this needs a change.
I have some catching up to do.
I have some things that need updating.
And some family bonds to glue.

Some things have lagged unmercifully.
They need some tweaking, not too much.
Just need to get back some perspective..
Get some family lines in touch.

This catching up will be wide ranging.
Out with the old, in with the new.
But when you're catching up with people,
there's still some old when you're all through.

Catching up sometimes is tiring.
Maybe that's why I've been waiting.
And, besides, when I'm all done,
there seems there's more that needs updating!

  1. Enjoy your meeting today! I know I will! Finally stopped snowing here too. We didn't get much, but it's heavy and wet. I hear we could reach the upper 50's to low 60's by mid week! Now that's what I'm talkin' about!!!
Enjoy the beginning of your spiritual month! It's going to be a great one for sure!
Keep your chins up too! The job will come!

    1. Yes! I will Cindy. :-) YAY! I'm glad the 'white stuff' stopped falling. It stopped here and starting raining instead. Now this morning there's some spots with black ice because it froze overnight!...*shaking my head*...And we're suppose to get up to 65 degrees by Wednesday or Thursday here too!...It'll be good for all those pioneering. Hubby will be one too, we think! ^_^ That might make the job come faster!!! LOL

  2. Wow, it's windy and cold here, too! March, coming in like a lion. Thanks for including my vintage Paragon teacup trio; a cup of hot tea sounds good right now :D

  5. There must be something in the air, I have just had an awesomely lovely lazy weekend too. My husband works most weekends, and he had Saturday off, so we had a lovely lovely lazy day off together, it was perfect. The laziness was mitigated however on Sunday, when I took the small one for a 2 hour bushwalk, then a swim, and drove the teenagers to their assorted activities. But all in all I had a lovely weekend, now its Monday morning, raining, and I'm trying to motivate myself out of my PJ's, and into my work skin!!!
Loved reading about yours, and that brooch is beautiful, as was your poem!

  6. My jaw dropped open when I saw those earrings! They are so beautiful. I had a fairly quiet weekend tending to my recouping hubby. He's on the mend and hopefully will be back to normal asap! The weather here has run from warm..wet..very wet...cold..snowy..colder...slightly snowier...well, you get the picture. Thankfully we have avoided all the tornado weather that has plagued the southern part of Ohio and all those poor people in Indiana, Illinois, and Kentucky. So sad. Have a great week Deb! Good luck to your hubby on the job hunt!

    1. I had the same reaction when I saw them, yaya!! And I have crocheted earrings in my Wuglyees shop!! But these are so intricately made, delicate and pretty...Oh! I'm so glad to hear that your hubby is well on the mend! You keep taking good care of him. :-) He's be back to his old self in no time!...And I'm glad you avoided those terrible tornadoes too! I heard the count of dead is close to 40 now! My poor heart sank when I heard about the baby whose parents both died. ;_; Poor baby. It's so hard to come back from nothing too. I know. My family did it a couple of times in my life. :-( It makes job hunting seem exciting in comparison...Have a good week Yaya!

  7. If the meteorologists only "read" the weather patterns I think they need to brush up on their skills. Sometimes they get it so wrong!
I really do hope that the weather settles down. I've been reading about the tornadoes in the US and the floods here :( It really breaks the heart.
