It's Just 'Virtually' Tea This Morning!

Last night was another 'Virtual Date Night' for the books. But this time it was a little different. Instead of 'virtually' going to Paris...which we almost did, after hearing all the details of Jan's recent trip to Paris (of the blog Becoming Jansjems)...We stayed 'virtually' awake and had some tea...

       ...and popcorn...

...Well....not popcorn per se'. More like 'Fiddle Faddles'. ^_^ Do you know of, or remember Fiddle Faddles?!...In case you don't, they're the caramel coated popcorn and peanut snack that resembled the Cracker Jacks....Or should I say that's what I think they were SUPPOSE to be!...Ours had 'virtually' no peanuts in them! ^_^ Maybe we should've gone a more gourmet route for our date! :-) ...

Maybe next time...Anyway! It was a good date. Time together without a ringing telephone, popcorn, tea, dreams of Popeyes fried chicken & Biscuits...which we controlled ourselves and didn't get! LOL, and cuddles and naps. 5 stars! :-) ...as I said, one for the books...

I mean...Paris will always be there, but a day doing nothing with my honey is kinda rare. :-)

I did take a little while, in between naps and tea, to crochet a couple of flower brooches and key chains...

This one, because of the frilly button, is gonna be a brooch.

And, by the way, it's purple and pink. The photo made it come out looking more blue. No. It's definitely purple!

Speaking of pink, I made this necklace too...

An X button and a leather cord.....You know any motorcyclers with flower edginess?! ^_^

Lastly, I made a little keychain...

I only made this one because my 'Tiggerific' girlfriend was here early yesterday morning for our Friday morning visit and she had a crochet flower on her keychain that had seen better days. It was all rolled up on the edges and dirty. O_O She wanted...and needed...a new one!
I made her a purple one with a little gold center, just like she wanted, and she loved it. Then I got to thinking...hmmmm...all of my keychains don't have to be refashioned big and bulky ones! I can make a few cute little 'dangle next to the keys' keychains too! ^_^

Ahhhhhh!...Another way to use my crochet flowers....'virtually' endless ways! And 'virtually' impossible for me to stop!! Ha! Ha!....I can stop talking though. And I will.....Now! ^_^ Have a good day, Everybody!

 Virtual trip

I really like to travel,
See the world, expand my mind.
But not getting on an airplane,
or hunting luggage I can't find!

I like a 'good ole' virtual trip.
Computer details. Music too.
Where you don't need a stinking passport,
or have to wear a stinking shoe!

But a little stay at home,
under covers, lock and key,
can also be expansive.
Even if it's 'virtually'.

  1. Glad you enjoyed my blog. You may already know about this website from your virtual vacations. It's one I looked at before we went. I was so happy to see Van Gogh's "Starry Night" in the Musee d'Orsay as it wasn't in the virtual tour. If you haven't seen this site, take a look.

    1. You're right. The mug is cute. And the caramel corn did look good too, Jo!...The ones we ate (the Fiddle Faddles) tasted good too...except for the lack of peanuts. LOL
