And ZERO Is Suppose To Be LOVE!

I couldn't help but share this cute kitten pendant today! :-] I LOVE it!! It was the perfect piece to share to show what happened with the tennis matches at the French Open yesterday...Kittens, out of their comfort zone, trying to battle the 'big tigers' of the tennis world...to no avail. :-/

********** The bottom half of the draw, on paper, looked like it was gonna be a predictable 'given' result. With Maria Sharapova playing Kaia Kanepi, and Petra Kvitova playing qualifier, Yaroslava Shvedova, it seemed a fore-gone conclusion as to who was gonna win what!...And, pretty much, it WAS!...Maria Sharapova powered past Kaia Kanepi, 6-2, 6-3. And Petra Kvitova, although she had a little bit of trouble in the first set, won the three set battle, 3-6, 6-2, 6-4...Maria and Petra were both 'tigers'!!
And while there was no surprise in the match with 'Baby Boy', Rafael Nadal, and Nicolas Almagro...'Baby Boy' raising his game and winning in straight sets, 7-6, 6-2, 6-3...there was a big surprise, at least it was a surprise to me!, in the match with Andy Murray and David Ferrer!...I mean David Ferrer has NEVER been to the semi-finals....EVER!
But, in a total reverse order from what I thought was gonna happen yesterday, David Ferrer was the 'tiger', and Andy Murray was the 'kitten' of the match! O_O ... Don't get me wrong...Andy tried to be a 'tiger'.....a LOT! But Ferrer wasn't having any of it!! David Ferrer had a game plan coming in...and you could see him executing it the whole match!
In the end, Ferrer's game plan was executed to perfection. He was beyond being a 'tiger'...he was a 'beast' with a tennis racket!! Whack after whack he just wore poor Andy  Murray down. The Suzanne Lenglen Court itself tried to absorb the grunts, while it covered it's eyes. And in the end Andy wanted to cover his eyes too, because in the win department, once again, he came up with a big ZERO!! LOL
In 3 hours and 45 minutes the deed was done. David Ferrer solidified his first-ever spot in a French Open Tennis semi-final. He beat Andy Murray 6-4, 6-7, 6-3, 6-2. The only set Andy won was the second one....and even that one was one he had to battle through a tie-break for!!...So, the semi-finals are set...On Friday, Novak Djokovic will take on Roger Federer, and David Ferrer will take on the beast crusher, my 'Baby Boy', Rafael Nadal. Oooooo! It's gonna be some good tennis on Friday, Y'all!!! :-)
But before we get to Friday....the women's semi-finals  have to be played today!...Samantha Stosur will be playing Sara Errani, and Maria Sharapova will be battling Petra Kvitova!...and I really think that last one is gonna be a battle too!
I've got a little bit more studying to do for my meeting tonight, so I'm gonna get that done right now, so that I can watch the women's matches without pangs of guilt that I should be doing something else. :-)) First things first!! :-) **********

The above photo is the back side of the kitten pendant from the header photo. I loved it so much that I thought I'd share that with you too...on the back side of the tennis updates :-)) ..And, speaking of sharing some things I love with you, look at these cool pieces too!...

        It's all about love!....Love for tennis....Love for creative Etsians.....LOVE! :-)

Now, this 'kitten'...or 'Wug'...or....(insert your own moniker. ^_^)...is off to get some breakfast and do some studying! :-) And for the non-sports lovers, be patient with me please. The French Open will be over in a few more days!! ^_^ ...Although, then the Tour De France will be starting....and also the Basketball finals....and then the summer Olympics in England!! ^_^ .....I'm just gonna apologize to you beforehand....Sorry. LOL

Have a good day, Everybody!! :-)

 All The Things I Love

If I listed all the things I've loved
I could rattle on forever!
Whether by 'order of importance'
or by a poetically quick endeavor.

Right now it's Tennis...Well, all sports,
and reading informative magazines.
And crocheting, food and music.
Well..that might be in my genes!

I've loved teaching and line dancing,
So many things in my short life.
But I've never jumped from a plane,
or whittled anything with a knife!

With every passing moon
I find some other thing that I love.
Whether grassy patterns on my lawn,
or phenomenal skies above.

Yes, if I listed all the things I loved
my words could fill all space,
It comes from curiosity,
and an Ooo-ing Awww-ing place!

Great poem. I say the older we get the more we want to do and actually work harder to accomplish as the days pass!
