Sporty, Silly, Serious, and Settled!

      It's Friday!...the end of the week...PRE-weekend...'Virtual' day...the day that hubby and I usually have our 'Date Night'! So this would not be the day to expect me to be inciteful and mentally 'pulled together'!...Well, that wouldn't be something you should expect from me on ANY day! LOL...but especially not on Fridays!
     What you "can" expect today is that my mind, and my blog post, is gonna be all over the place!...sorry. I've got a few updates to share, a few Etsy finds, and I wanna share some 'goings-on' in "Wug World". Some of it is gonna be silly. Some of it will be me just being honest with you. And, for all of it, I'm gonna try to be kind...Now you know why I picked the print in the header photo! ^_^ ... Are you ready?!...Here goes...

       So that I don't lose you right out of the box, let's start with some Etsy finds!...

     Bam! ^_^

    Now that's how you start a Friday post!! LOL...I absolutely love all of the detail on this ring!...Too bad I just saw it. It might've been on my list of potential anniversary gifts! :-) ...What?!...You know husbands need a list, right?! At least mine does! LOL....Would I have gotten it?!...Probably not! My last name, while lovely, still doesn't have the "pull" that 'Rockefeller' or 'Trump' has! ^_^
       If it did, I might've gone ahead and gotten this ring from ThirtySixTen too!! :-] ...

      That's some serious jewelry people!...the kind that makes strangers grab and hold onto your hand while they talk to you about it. :-) How do I know that?!...I may or may not have done that to a few people when I saw them wearing some interesting jewelry piece or the other....Okay! I did it!...I did it! LOL
      Speaking of serious, here's a couple of other things I found on Etsy...

   I found a couple of colorful things too!...

      Now let me pause here to give you a colorful update... ^_^ ...I sold my salmon orange fingerless gloves yesterday! YAY!...and I got a new custom order for another set of lapel pins for a wedding! ^_^ Green and yellow this time!...I think boutonnieres for weddings and formal occasions may be my 'thing' now! :-]
     I know sleeping isn't my 'thing'! LOL And on that subject, I'm gonna have to have another sleep study. You know...the kind where strangers hook you up to all kinds of wires from head to toe and stay up all night watching you to make sure you keep breathing and don't die! LOL
      The last time I did this overnight study I found out that I have SERIOUS Sleep Apnea! Mine was among the highest numbers they had seen at the place I had the study done. I knew it too, when I saw the monitor people standing over me in the middle of the night with worried looks on their faces. They stopped the study and wanted me to put an apparatus on my nose right away!...Then I went back to sleep, and was awakened shortly afterward by the same people, with MORE worried looks on their faces! O_O
      I was measured for a full face mask, which they made me wear for the rest of the night. Then I got my lovely C-Pap machine, and was warned that I wasn't even suppose to take a nap without it on! O_O ...Talk about worrying somebody!...Me and my C-Pap machine have been constant buddies since then...It started out with me getting the best and most rested 6 or 7 hours of sleep a night anybody ever had!....Lately....well, YOU know! Ugh!
      So, long story short....I know. Too late! LOL...the doctor is worried that I might be having an oxygen depletion issue or something. Hence, the new sleep study. It'll be to make sure my muscles or nerves aren't being compromised...or something like that!
      Hubby, being the good husband that he is, has already told me that he's getting me some new nighties for my anniversary! LOL Apparently he wants me to look nice and 'NON-holified' in a decent nightie while my mouth is hanging open and I'm wearing knotty 'bed hair' for the nice monitor people during the sleep study...*shaking my head* LOL
      Moving on to sporty things! :-) ... I've been watching the Tour De France every day for the last 3 weeks or so. It's down to the 'Time Trials' tomorrow, and then the ride into France. :-) I have to admit, while it's been nice, I haven't enjoyed it as much as I usually do...with the whole Lance Armstrong, drug doping controversy. I had hoped that since he retired last year I'd be watching him doing commentary for the race this year or something. :-( Sadly....no!
       More sports are coming for me to sink my teeth into though!...

      Because of the Olympics in London this year...

        ...there's even gonna be more tennis at Wimbledon! ^_^ ...Not to mention all of the other sports that are gonna inundate my television whether I like it or not...like basketball, water polo, gymnastics, and track and field!...

       Okay....I like it!...I like it!! ^_^

     Now, believe it or not, this post is coming to an end! LOL But not until I fill in the 'silly' portion...

      Somebody posted this on Facebook yesterday. :-) ...The mind reels, doesn't it?!

       And speaking of the mind reeling, I had flashbacks to my childhood when I saw these things...

        ^_^ They give me Batman & Robin flashbacks!

       And this (below) sorta reminded me of the hours of Tic Tac Toe and the "Connect Four" game I used to play with my family...

         ...Remember those?! :-)

     And last, but not least, what do you think of these?!...

     So, like I told you honestly in the beginning...this post was all over the place, right?! :-] ...There's only one thing left. One thing that's finally been settled...Me and hubby know what we're doing for our anniversary! YAY!! ^_^ I can't tell you now, but I'll share it with you later. I don't want certain nightie-buying prying eyes to be looking to find out what he's getting! ^_^ "I" can keep a secret!!! LOL
       Have a good weekend, Everybody! And if it gets too serious, find something silly or sporty to break up the monotony! ^_^

Weekend

Weekend Folderol;
Lollygagging, having fun;
Makes working up to Friday
worth the paperwork you've done.

Your job, all week, came first,
but now it's time for a little jaunt;
or to lay around the house
and just do nothing, if you want!

A little this. A little that.
A bit of fun had out of doors.
A little weeding in the garden.
And a little bit of chores.

Some weekend folderol,
all alone or with your friends.
Or some chit chat with your neighbors,
new acquaintances or kin.

A Weekend that's all planned,,
or simply finding things to do;
Because every Monday will be back
and you'll need something to look forward to!

    1. Thanks, Priscila!...Yes, waaaaay outside the box! ^_^ But apparently people like 'outside the box'! Good for me!...Sorry about your hubby's sleep issues. Does it have anything to do with the altitude change in Colorado. I hear that that can cause a few problems for some people...Maybe your hubby needs to get into a sleep study too! O_O

It's nice to be able to give such creative people a place to display all of their hard work. Many have done the same for me!...As to my sleep issues, I hope those will be resolved soon too. Either way, you know I'll be talking about it! LOL Have a good weekend, Vel!

  5. Way to go on your sale! Good job! I love that art deco wedding ring...so pretty! I'm so glad it's Friday after our horrendous surgery week..I think I came home on bloody stumps! But I'm going to enjoy our cool weather (73De!) and get some stuff done around the house. Have a great date night! Give us all the details! (well, maybe not ALL the details!) Oh, and good luck with that sleep study. My son does those at his hospital. I couldn't imagine staying up all night to watch people sleep. Then I remembered I work in surgery and sometimes I'm up all night working on people who are asleep! DUH!

But I have to say I wish you were at work around here for my sleep study! ^_^ I know how much you care about your work...Truth is, I'd much rather be on the 'looking' side of the equation, rather than on the 'looked at' side anyway! LOL...Have a good weekend Yaya! :-)
