Holyoke In The Fall...Mr. Wug Style!

Have I told you before how much I love Fall?! ^_^ I suspect I have!...Even a whopping virus couldn't dampen my enthusiasm for it! And it's just the beginning of Fall too! Not everything is all splashed with color yet around here though. Some areas are still as green as green could be!...

...but can't you feel the Fall mood still?! :-) I think it's got something to do with the look of the sky, and the air...Or it could just be me! LOL If it's the last one....Shhhhhh!...Did I say 'sky'?!...Yes! Yes I did say 'sky'! :-] Sky in the mountains...

...Sky over the Mt. Tom entrance (below)...

Mt. Tom used to be a busy ski resort around here years ago. Now it's just a lair of copperhead snakes! O_O ...That might be a bit of an over-statement, but ever since I saw that a guy got bitten by one near there the other day, that's all I can think about it!...Oh! The questions hubby had to answer!!...*shaking my head*...(giggle)
Hubby took these photos (below) through Mt. Tom's fence...

Beautiful sky, right?! :-] Imagine how skiers would feel once they got up on the mountain, strapped some skis on, and....and......O_O...maybe I 'don't' wanna think about that! I'm getting a little queasy! LOL

Anyway!....as I was saying, not everything is splashed with color yet around here. But that doesn't mean that there's no color!...Hubby found these two beautiful flowers in one of the parks...

...And he found color beginning to pop in the hills...

...and in little areas around the river....the Connecticut river that runs along our area...

The river isn't splashed with color either, but it's river! If it was colorful that would mean it had a problem! LOL And just looking at it you can see that there's no problem here! :-)

I love Fall! :-) And I love the water. And I love that my virus seems to be on the way out...even though I'm having a few residue issues. Ugh! You don't wanna know about them....trust me!
Okay, I'm off to practice my 'talk'. I have a presentation I have to give at my congregation this week....AND I have to ship some more sales! :-) Yes....they're still coming!! And no one is more shocked about it than me!!....Happily shocked!
Considering that we just found out that some services that we thought I might be eligible for....I'm not, it would be wonderful if the sales in the shop picked up enough to make up the difference financially...I won't count on it though. That would take the joy out of the sales I'm getting! :-)

Have a good day, Everybody!! :-) I'll be back with some more of hubby's photos tomorrow!...unless you rebel! ^_^ Eh!....I'll share 'em anyway. He may rebel!! LOL

 Describe The Sky

Evoking awe and bouts of wonder.
Such inspiration, you just want to cry.
With birds high-flying, and winds a blowing,
what words would you use to describe the sky?

Would you say, whether clouds are upon it,
that it blankets a wondrous space?
Or would you be more awed and humbled,
hoping there you would find God's face?

I would say that when standing quiet,
looking up at the sun or moon,
there's a feeling of peaceful oneness
that I hope won't go away too soon.

Evoking bouts of awe and wonder
was probably what it was designed to do;
That is, besides giving off light and weather,
and the most spectacular view!

  1. Beautiful photos!! I was wondering what body of water that was. We're starting to see more and more color here in Michigan and yes, the sky, the air, the birds, the trees are all hollering "fall!"
Won't it be wonderful in the new world when we can enjoy the seasons the way Jehovah intended!!
Enjoy the rest of your evening and get rid of that virus!!
I sure wish I could hear your talk! Which one is it? My hubby has one Thurs. too! Volunteer (if that's what you call a phone call and a plead! LOL)

I'm soooo looking forward to that! :-]...By the way, I have the talk on grieving God's holy spirit. Wonderful information!...Have a good day! And tell your hubby I'll be thinking of him with his talk too. :-)

  2. Fall is here at last! I'm loving the cooler weather and the color on the trees is slowly coming on. Your hubby's pics are great and the color of the sky is glorious. I'm glad you are getting better and the sales are still coming too. Enjoy the rest of this week!

    1. Yes, Jo, I love that flower color too! I have some fuzzy yarn in that color too, but it's too fuzzy, scratchy and thick for me to want to mess with! ^_^ I'd love to find some thread in that color!...And I agree, New England is a great area to live in. Especially this time of year! :-)
