I'm all about comfy, cozy, comfortableness today!...ALL ABOUT IT!!! :-) Why?!...Well, seeing the towel in my header photo was part of the reason. :-) But the other part of it had to do with me NOT being so comfortable the last few days!
I haven't been sleeping well. Uncomfortable!...And I feel like my brain is not receiving input in the comfortable way it usually does! O_O I'll tell you what I mean about that in a minute. First though, I wanna share some other really comfy, cozy, comfortable looking items I saw on Etsy!...

This material almost makes me wanna pull out my sewing machine again!.....I said ALMOST!! ^_^ I'm not 'quite' that ready to do it, but I sure wouldn't mind having somebody make me something pretty out of it!!...Although, I could just unroll it and wrap it around a sari or something! :-)

These little cozies were just that!.....COZY! :-) And I loved that in the description it mentioned that they'll fit not only standard size glasses, but also cans, water bottles, candle holders, half-pint and pint size mason jars too! :-)

And where would comfy, cozy be without something crocheted and colorful that you can wrap up in?! :-) ...

I may end up making a couple of blankets myself pretty soon. I have a request for two of soon as I can find the time!...Time. What is this thing they call 'time'?!! LOL

Okay...going back to my brain not receiving input in it's usual comfy way...I'll admit right off the bat, that it may not be other people. It may be me....BUT! seems like everybody is being so exacting in their wording! O_O
For instance, my hubby handed me a towel my opinion...was wet! I said: "Hey, this is wet." He said, after feeling it, "No it's not!" O_O I said: "What?!...Feel right here!"...He said, "It's not wet. It's just damp."...Uhhhhhh... O_O...What?!
I'll tell you what I asked him. I asked: "Can something be damp, and not wet?!"...He said: "No."....Then I said: "Well, why the exact distinction, then?!" O_O...And he said what he always says when I ask questions that he doesn't know the answer to..."Why you asking me?!!!" LOL
This whole conversation just reminded me of other conversations I've had with other people lately...

       Talking to a friend, I said: "You said you have a headache. Do you need an aspirin?"...."No, I don't take aspirin."...About an hour later she asks me: "Do you have anything for a headache?!" O_O..."I thought you didn't take aspirin for your headache!"..."Oh, I don't! But I take ibuprofen and other stuff."...O_O...I was wondering why she didn't volunteer that info in the first place, instead of suffering in silence for an hour!...{And just so you know, if I ever ask you if you want an aspirin, I mean ANY over-the-counter pain meds! YOU just specify immediately which you prefer, please!! LOL}
By the way, this same argument applies if I ask you if you would like some butter beans....What "I" mean by butter beans is ANY big bean that's not red, and not in a pod at the time! ^_^

I had another conversation with my hubby about his mom's phone call. She called and said she wanted him to know where she was going to be putting his dishes...the ones he brought her some of his homemade stew in. She washed them and wanted him to be able to take them back...But when I told hubby this, he said: "Uh huh!...In other words, she wants some more stew!"....O_O..."Really?!...When did she say that?!!!" I said...*shaking my head* O_O
These conversations where I have to 'figure out' not only what people are saying, but what they are 'meaning' about what they are saying, make me UNCOMFORTABLE!!!....Just say what you mean, people!!!! LOL

Okay...rant over! ^_^...And post over!....Well, except for the poem :-) Have a good day, Everybody!

How Can You Be So Positive

"How can you be so positive
with everything so bad?
When folks are so unkind
and all those doctors make you mad?"

"It's easy!" I assure them.
'Cuz one thing makes it okay.
I wake up every morning,
and I'm breathing every day!

When I can't move a muscle
and can barely lift my head,
I think of all the folks I've known
who now are gone, yes, dead!

No matter what my problem is,
and if I stand or lay,
I'm thankful that my mind still works
and I'm breathing every day!

So how am I so positive,
When things sometimes seem bleak?
It's easy, 'cuz my breathing
keeps on going every week!

Oh yes, I have a choice!
I can be miserable and whine;
Be mean to folks around me,
Be demanding and unkind.

But who would make that choice,
when there's a better way to be?
I mean, who's breathing every day
and writing poems?...ME!

  1. Deb, I know exactly what you meean. Just spit it out and don't beat around the bush. Since we are the tell it like it is people then many consider us mean and rude. Oh well. Great poem by the way. Hope you are staying warm. Hugs, Velma

    1. Yeah....Yeah....YEAH!!! Spit it out already!!! LOL...I think simple honesty and being straight to the a nice UNDER-rated these days!! ^_^ ...Thanks for the 'poem love' too, by the way. ♥

  2. Love your "rants!" Makes me feel so at home! LOL Like hubby and I were talking about the bathroom remodel. I told him I wanted to buy a new chair rail. He says "What?? I thought you wanted to keep the chair rail!!!" Well I DID say that, but I didn't mean I wanted to keep THAT chair rail, I just wanted to keep a chair rail! Confused? He was!!! I can understand why! LOL I hated that chair rail since the day we put it in there. He was relieved because he hated it too! LOL
Anyway.....we all need to spit out what we need and want to say. Don't beat around the bush...our brains can't handle it!!
Have a good night. Hopefully you'll sleep better tonight. I didn't sleep much last night either.

    1. Hi Bead! ^_^ You made me laugh about the chair rail. We have had sooooo many conversations like that, hubby and I! LOL Maybe that's how we stay married so long...just trying to find out exactly what the other one is trying to say!! ^_^ I must admit, sometimes I just would rather hear it straight forward, rather than trying to figure it out through convoluted words and hand signals!!! LOL Have a good night yourself, my friend. Here's hoping we both get good sleep. Although I just woke up from a 3 1/2 hour nap!! LOL ♥

  3. Ahhhh..communication...the thing that ruins marriages and relationships and getting along in the workplace. I'm guilty of not saying what I mean all the time...or saying what I mean then apologizing and saying "I didn't mean it THAT way!"...Oh, I love the Turkish bath towel..and I really mean that!

    1. And on the reverse, communication is the thing that makes good marriages, relationships, and getting along in the workplace! ^_^ I guess it's a matter of how well you do it....or don't! LOL I know it's worth the constant work anyway! :-)
