Let's Sing A Song Of Fridays!

     A meteorite streaking across the sky, a cruise ship that 'finally' got to land after 5 days of nightmare conditions on board, a double amputee Olympic star accused of killing his girlfriend, a little kid swallowing 42 refrigerator magnets, kangeroos on a golf course, and much, much more was in the news this morning....YIKES! O_O...*sigh*...Why can't the news just let me eat, listen to music, and cuddle with my hubby on Fridays?!.....WHY?!! LOL
     I could go on for days about any one, or all, of the things in the news today....but why would I do that when I can sit my tired and ultra-achy body right where it is, and have a little chat with hubby about what we're gonna be doing for our date tonight?! :-] It's 'Virtual' Friday!! We could do anything!!
    We usually like to venture far from home, but lately...because the world is getting so crazy!...we've been pitching our 'virtual' tent close to home! And because we live in such a sporty, culturally, musically rich area, it's not that hard to find something to do! :-) And we're not that hard to please anyway.
      We just wanna, first of all, eat something good...and hubby already started that off good this morning, with pork chops and gravy and grits for breakfast, which he's cooking right now!...*sniffing the air, and drooling a little LOL*

     Then we like to dress up a little. Not a LOT! Just a little..like with a nice bracelet or something, like this one from the header photo...

     ...or this one, for me!...

    ....or this one, also for me...just saying! :-)) ...

      And then we like to listen to some good music...

       Living in such a musically rich area doesn't hurt with the music thing! :-) ...

       In fact, between now and the next few months, there are all kinds of musicians coming to our area...especially to Tanglewood! You can look at the full schedule of New England's events HERE. :-)

The Night We Have A Date

We're  married many years;
Too old to go to bed too late.
We sometimes sit and laugh about it,
on the night we have a date.

Every Friday night is ours;
Time we long anticipate;
When we eat what we've been craving,
on the night we have a date.

We let nothing interfere.
(I recommend this with your mate).
Just focus one night, every week,
as the night you have a date.
