'Wobbly Wibbly' Toddler Girl Found A New Friend!

      Have you ever heard the expression 'Experience Is The Best Teacher'?...Well, I can tell you that my little neighbor girl, the little toddler, 'Wobbly Wibbly' as I affectionately call her now, is getting lots of experience on how to get what she wants! :-) ... {If you don't know the story about 'Wobbly Wibbly you can read the back story HERE. ^_^}
When we saw her wobble into the backyard yesterday...well, first we saw a huge colored ball come across the lawn...we noticed that she wasn't holding anyone's hand this time...although grandma 'was' following close behind. :-) But also following close behind was a little boy!

'Wobbly Wibbly' and the little blonde-haired boy were giggling and playing away, with big colored balls flying all over the place! ^_^ But in typical fashion, 'Wobbly Wibbly' headed for the edge of the woods!...But, sorry 'Wobbly', there's no more flowers to pick up there! You picked them all, and they didn't grow back this time.

'Little One' didn't seem that disappointed. Maybe it was because her little friend was distracting her, or maybe it was the fact that they had the balls to play with and run after!...

I watched for a while...there's something sweet about little kids playing in the yard in the sunshine. :-) Then I went back to what I was doing...A little later I looked out in the backyard again...

...and noticed that the kids and grandma were still in the backyard playing!...Some more time passed...Then I looked, and what did I see?!...The little blond-haired boy was carrying a fist full of purple flowers! O_O Where did he get those from?!...They must have been growing down at the other end of the backyard!
Uhhhhh...where were the balls they were playing with?! O_O And then....here comes 'Wobbly Wibbly'...with a fist full of purple flowers too!!!...*sigh*...'Wobbly Wibbly struck again! LOL I stopped looking!...Go Ahead, Enjoy!!!! :-) ...
I've learned something from watching 'Wobbly Wibbly'...that self-esteem and positivity, knowing what you want and how to go and get it, starts developing when you're really young. I can see that she's gonna be just fine! ^_^ ...But the flowers, WATCH OUT!!!!! ^_^ This all reminded me of the lyrics to a 'Peter, Paul, and Mary' song!

 Head High, Little Girl

Keep head high, little girl.
And your heart as an open book.
Think good thoughts of who you are,
so other girls can take a look.

Your self esteem, little girl,
should be pumped up wherever you can.
But shouldn't depend on prettiness,
or the sugary words of a man.

Your self esteem needs to be balanced.
Not arrogant or smug at it's core.
For the sun does not rise and set on you,
but nor is garbage dumped at your door.

So keep head high, little girl.
And your heart as an open book.
Your self esteem will then be lifted,
and the whole world will take a look.

  1. What a cute story, Deb! Of course those little ones would be drawn to the flowers. I'm not sure how my mother kept me from picking every flower in the yard when I was little. And Daniel tells the story of lovingly picking a bunch of pretty yellow flowers for his mom one year - all the tomato flowers from their big veggie garden... ;-)

Hope you are doing well!! Hugs, Silke

    1. ^_^ I was a diligent flower picker too, Silke! But as a little girl in Georgia I picked more plums, figs, and apples!! LOL My love of flowers...of all kinds!...grew on me over the years. I would love to have seen Daniel's mom's face when he presented his 'flowers'!! ^_^ Thank you for sharing that with me. It gave me a smile. :-)
