Snow!....But Not Much.

     Imagine our dismay after coming home from our 'virtual' trip to Costa Rica last night, and finding ice and snow! ^_^ Oh, Where would we be without our fun 'date night' excursions that take us away to sunny places?! 
      I'm not that upset about the snow though, because we didn't get much...maybe a half an inch. And I know it could've been worse. A lot of people across the country got lots worse! Ours is just pretty in the morning light. In fact, it almost looks blue! :-)
 

      And where are the birds?! O_O  For a couple of days now, we have been looking for our winter birds. The suet has been hanging for a couple of days or more, and we haven't gotten one bird to it! NOT ONE!! O_O
 

      And we haven't seen any in the backyard either. Not even crows!...which we did see hanging around the backyard last week...Oh Well, I guess they knew the ice and snow was coming too. Maybe because they weren't sure how much it was gonna be, they 'high-tailed' it outta here! Ha! Ha!
 

      Whatever!...If you see them, just tell them that we have some hanging frozen food for them...whenever they decide to show back up! ^_^

      In the meantime, I'm having a slice of ham, a blueberry muffin, a green 'Granny Smith' apple, and a cup of hot green tea for breakfast!...Not one frozen thing anywhere! ^_^ ... What?! O_O Somebody has to eat around here!! LOL
       And, for those wondering, the hand has not improved. :-( I'm awaiting the results of my blood work, just to make sure there's no chronic hand bug, or something silly like that, that I might have to worry about! ^_^ I know....I'm stretching. LOL But who just wakes up with a hand that doesn't work?!!....ME, that's who!! ^_^
      Have a good Saturday, Y'all!!....Stay away from 'hand bugs'!! LOL That was my service announcement. ^_^

Slow it down. Find a chair.

Friday Date Day!!!!...With An Old Friend!

      I know you're thinking that the 'old friend' that I'm talking about...because it's my Date Day...is my loving hubby. But nope! ^_^ Although my hubby is 'old', and he is my dear, dear 'friend'. ♥  That's not the friend I'm talking about today!...And shhhhhh!...He probably wouldn't like that I called him 'old'. :-) Somewhere in the recesses of his 'denial ridden' mind, he thinks he's still young, and rambunctious. Ha! Ha!
         No, the friend I'm talking about is my tiny stuffed 'Baby Wuglyee' prototype bear! :-) ...
 

      Back when I first started selling my crochet items on Etsy, in my Wuglyees shop, I used to give one of these little bears as a free gift to my customers. :-) I bought a whole bunch of them, and I used to crochet a little hair braid from his ear, and connect a keyring.
      If you look close, you can see where he has black writing across his belly. That's where I wrote my shop name, in a black 'Sharpie' pen...Uhhhhh...Not my best idea! LOL You couldn't even read it!!! ^_^
      

      Thankfully I had sense enough to stamp my website URL on the tag! :-)) 

      It was nice to find this 'old friend' yesterday.  I didn't even know that I still had one of these bears. I thought they all were sent to customers!...I guess this one slipped down beside the box...Hubby found him yesterday when he was looking for something else. :-]
      He's so cute! :-) I kinda wish I had more of them! But the place where I got them had stopped making them...That's why I just started giving away other free items along with every customer's purchase. I still do that. :-) I like for it to be a surprise for the customer as to what the free gift will be now. :-)
 

      Okay...I'm off to get my 'Date Day' started!...It's not gonna start all that great though. O_O I just got the call that my blood drawing is gonna be this morning...*sigh*...They would wait to today, wouldn't they?!! Grrrr!
      Anyway!!...Once it's done, and my arm is all bandaged up...I don't stick easily. OUCH!!! O_O...I'll be able to relax and enjoy the rest of my day with my 'Old' Honey Bear! :-) ♥ It'll be a good day, I'm sure. It always is. ^_^ ... You all have a good day too!!

Coffee, Please.....Before The Doctor!

      Yes, I am craving coffee this morning. ^_^ Thank you, Cindy!!...*she offered me a cyber cup earlier this morning. ^_^*...but unfortunately I don't have any home perked coffee in the house, and it appears that the 'fast-food' places are 'on strike' today...something about wages...So, coffee is out for me! I'll have to stick with my old faithful...a hot cup of green tea with honey and lemon...I'm already on it!! ^_^

      I have to get myself in the right state of mind for a blood draw, and a doctor's visit! O_O Everybody's schedules are kinda 'wishy-washy', so I'm on 'stand-by' as to exactly when it's gonna happen. It's suppose to be before the week is out, so today may be the day!...Ugh!

       Also smile-worthy is that I already have all of my studying done for the meeting tonight (Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses). :-) Now I'll be able to crochet...rest...crochet...massage the hand...crochet...take a nap....crochet...etc..!!       I'm sure it's no big surprise to my regular blog readers that, after spending yesterday with my baby sister, all I would wanna talk about today is my sister! ^_^ I love her!!...And I didn't realize how long it had been since we had a substantial conversation until we got to talking!

      My baby sister is a mom of three. That means I'm her sister, and her children's 'aunt-ee'. ^_^ I have to admit though, that sometimes it's so hard for me to think of her as a mom!! I have so many visions and memories in my head from when we were kids, that it's hard to think of this, now, woman as a mother taking care of children!...when I used to be her big sister, and take care of her!! :-) ...

      The good thing is that no matter how long we're alive, I'll 'still' be her BIG sister!! ^_^ The one she can count on, and cry with, in hard times...

      Isn't that an amazing thing about sisters?!...You can be apart for long periods of time...and then come together again, and look into the face of someone who 'KNOWS' you better than anybody on earth...good and bad...and still like you!! ^_^ 
      My baby sis and I talked like talking was gonna go out of style tomorrow! LOL And then we talked some more about when we would get together again soon and do some more talking!! ^_^ And in the midst of all of that talking, I found out things about her that I absolutely did not know!! O_O
       I was asking questions like: "Where was I when that happened?!"..."How come I didn't know that?!"..."When did that happen?!"...I felt like such a 'ninnie'!! I mean, we were growing up in the same house, weren't we?!" O_O
      Oh Well!...At least I'm glad I know now....Well, some of it anyway....Long story. A long, never to be told on the blog, story!! I am her big sister after all...keeper of sister secrets, and lover of all things sister-ish!! ^_^ I'll sing some things, but those things are about ME!! ^_^

My Sister Is Coming To Visit!

      We woke up to a bunch of fog this morning...pretty! It makes the backyard look serene and quiet. I'm sure drivers in the Holyoke hills around here aren't that crazy about the fog...sorry. :-] But since I'm not driving my bed anywhere...I'm good with it! ^_^
      I'm good with everything...almost...this morning, because my sister is coming by for a long over-do visit! :-) It'll be good to see her!...Good, as in: "What's new?!...Let's laugh about some stuff!" LOL
      What I'm 'not' good about is that I had to call the doctor yesterday...Ugh!...and I have an appointment to see him sometime this week...including the dreaded blood drawing! O_O If you saw my post about the last time I had blood drawn, you know how much I'm 'NOT' looking forward to it again!!...But whatever. It's necessary right now just to give myself some peace of mind...Life!...It is what it is. So, you might as well fix your brain about it, and dredge forward in a positive manner. :-)
       Let the fog distract you, if you have to!! LOL

      With my hand/left finger still acting up, I haven't been crocheting the last few days. But I do have a new lapel pin to add to the shop today. I finished it last week, but just realized this morning that I hadn't taken photos of it to list it!...*shaking my head*...

      Other than these things, let's see...what else is going on with me?!....'The Voice' was good last night!...My favorite weather man, Sam Champion, is gonna be leaving his regular show and going to 'The Weather Channel'...also good, because I watch that too! ^_^
       Let me see what else.....hmmm....Oh Yeah, I now realize that I'm a bit picky with my food...again! O_O I used to be like that when I was really young. Now I'm finding myself turning stuff over with my fork, examining stuff waaaay too closely, and going without eating sometimes because things smell 'funny'! LOL
      Hubby is 'TOO THROUGH' with me!! ^_^ He's the one doing the cooking mostly, so he's wearing himself out trying to fix things I'll eat!...Sorry, Honey. ♥ ...I think it must be my hormones, because every month of my life...and ladies, you know what time of month I mean!!...I have avoided eggs and fowl...OF ANY KIND! O_O And I'm like that almost all the time now!...Even the 'look' of an egg can send me mentally running for the hills, arms out-stretched!!! LOL Not to mention meats not thoroughly well-done....and by well done I mean 'shoe leather' texture almost!! LOL
      Oh Well, what can I say?!...Growing old is not for sissies!! ^_^ And this old lady had better stop the conversation here, or else she'll be here all day 'spouting on' about the mysteries and frustrations of menopause!! ^_^ And who wants to hear that 'dribble' for hours on end?!!! LOL Or write it for that matter! Ugh!
      So, let's head on off to our Tuesday, shall we!...fog surrounding us!...and let's have a good one! :-)

Balance

Sunday 'Goings On'!

      Yes...it's Sunday again! :-) Yes...there are things going on. :-) No...it's not worth making a big deal or a lot of words on a blog post about...but here goes anyway! ^_^

      Let's talk about the weather!...It's the first day of the 'Meteorological' winter...and it's cold in Massachusetts...DUH! ^_^ As a little plus, it snowed a tiny bit last night...and has disappeared already this morning! But there's also some freezing rain around, that has caused a few car accidents! O_O We're under a 'stay-home-until-around-11:00 a.m.' advisory right now.

      Thankfully my mind doesn't need galoshes or a sweater coat in order to get out-and-about! LOL Although I wouldn't mind putting the cute sweater coat above on and going for a little spin around the block...Well, around the yard...Well, who am I kidding!...I wouldn't wear it out ANYWHERE in this weather!! LOL I'd put it on and sip some coffee in it, and maybe take some 'selfies'!! LOL...In case you're new here to my blog....I DON'T LIKE THE WHITE STUFF...OR THE COLD STUFF!!! LOL...

      I take that back....I don't like 'BEING OUT IN' the white or cold stuff! I don't mind 'looking' at the white or cold stuff from the window at all!! ^_^ In fact, I think it can be quite nice to look at!...as long as I don't have need of anything from the store, or don't have anywhere to be! :-) ...
