Oops!!!!...I Forgot!!

      Now, considering how much I talk, you're probably not gonna believe this...BUT...I forgot to do my blog post today!!! O_O YES I DID!!!...Well, I didn't TOTALLY forget about it...I actually thought about it at around 10:30 a.m., but I was sure I had already done it...O_O...so I just continued doing what I was doing!! LOL

      Guess what I was doing?!.......Yep!...Crocheting!! ^_^ I woke up with my customer's mittens on my mind, because I finished a pair of mittens for her night before last that I was sure were the wrong size! O_O So, making another pair for her right away was on my mind as soon as I got up! I wanted to send them to her in the mail this afternoon...(The post office will be closed here tomorrow, because of the New Year's holiday.)

      All day long it's been me and the black yarn....me and my crochet hook....me and my scatter-brain!!! ^_^

      And believe it or not, I'm still working on those very same black mittens right now!! I still have to customize them for her (very large) ....and make her a little free gift! Shhhhhhh! :-) Needless to say, I'm not gonna make the post office now...*shaking my head*...but that's alright. It's better to be 'right', rather than 'early', correct?!...I almost said: "Right?!", but that would've been pressuring you to answer the way I wanted you to....and not correct, right?!....RIGHT???!!! LOL

'Virtual' Friday Date Night...and Salesman Story - Part 3 and Done!

       It's another one of my favorite days coming atcha....'Virtual' Date Day Friday!!! :-) And if you're a regular reader of my blog you already know that my 'virtual' date has started early!...because I'm very late getting my post up this morning!! ^_^ But whatever!

      Before I head out to really get it started...and get some boutonnieres shipped off. WOOHOO!!!! :-) ...let me tell you what happened when hubby called the 'Big Wig' at the corporate office about my boutonnieres! :-)

      Well, the first 'Big Wig' listened and passed him along to the 'Ultra Big Wig'!....The 'Ultra Big Wig' listened, and passed him along to the 'Super-Ultra Big Wig'...*Teehee*...he listened, and passed him along to the 'Ultimate Big Wig'!!...After all was said and done, we're in a waiting pattern to see whether it will be okayed or not, and for how many, and if and where they will be allowed to go...*deep breath*

     I'm not reading too much into it, even though it looks like it might be getting some momentum. I know how these things go...especially when corporations get involved....Where is the little franchise shops with the signs saying: "Will buy boutonnieres on regular basis" anyway?!! LOL I know...probably in a meeting with a corporation 'Big Wig'! ^_^

'Virtual' Date Night...Good Time For A Nap?!

      Woohoo!! It's that time again!...Friday!...and...'virtual'-Friday-Date-Night for hubby and I! :-) And WOW! This Friday is gonna be really exciting! Both of us are trying to feel better from colds and allergies, tired, overwhelmed with too much stuff to do, and not feeling like entertaining...or traveling! So......we're not!! LOL

      We aren't going anywhere! We're not doing anything! And we're not going anywhere or doing anything with anybody else!! We're gonna sleep!!...Yeah, I said it! We're gonna rest and SLEEP!!...after the coughing, wheezing, blowing of nose, and sipping of green tea and soup, I mean. ^_^ Doesn't that sound like a fun 'date night'?!...And it's not gonna be 'virtual' this time either! I'm talking 'for real, for real'!! LOL

      Just like the owl in my header photo says, "Sometimes the smallest things take up the most room in your heart"...and naps have a sofa and couch, and a guest room, in my heart! :-)) Making a good nap the destination for our 'date night' is almost as good as going to France and sitting at a cafe' and having a large sausage and meatball 'grinder' (hoagie, hero sandwich, sub, etc...) with French bread! :-)

    Yes I know...all birds and owls might not agree...but sleeping in the daytime 'or' nighttime is good stuff!!... :-) ...especially when you're not feeling your 'tip-top' best.

      Before I head off to 'do' that...which is really 'doing' nothing! LOL...let me show you a couple of things...One being the two new necklaces that are now listing in my Wuglyees shop!...

     I love the buttons on them so much!!! :-) The above button looks like a literal black rose!...And the one below...

      ...looks like an artist's palate! :-)

       Oh!...the outfits I could wear with these two necklaces!!...but that's just me! Most people aren't that adventurous with color in the area where I live. Holyoke is a black, brown and tan kinda place. ^_^ Stylish...yes. But not too adventurous...Maybe my necklaces will change all of that!! ^_^

      The last thing I wanna share with you today is the highly too comfortable woodpecker in my backyard. He lets us take pictures of him. He hangs out on the feeder, surveying the landscape, for long periods at a time. He feeds his 'woody wood' girl woodpecker friend mouth to mouth on the feeder even! And now....this!...


             
       ...he is 'going to town' pecking at the tree in the backyard!! O_O We should've expected this, right?!...But we didn't! DUH! LOL...Now what?! O_O....Eh....I don't care today!...Peck away 'Woody'!! I've got a 'virtual'...not so 'virtual'...date with my husband! You keep it down so we can sleep, and we'll all be just fine!! ^_^

Rain, Rest, and Recycled Yarn

     The header photo was taken in London, but it could just as well have been Holyoke Massachusetts yesterday. For the last few days, and today too actually, it's doing that 'spitty rain' type of thing around here...It wants to rain, but it's not sure if it wants to rain a lot...or just give us a little shower now and then.

    And with arrangements now set for 'Peaches' funeral (and knowing that the time is gonna come way too soon), and my dad taking it a day at a time...back on the pain meds again...(that's what the phone call in the middle of the night was about)...UGH!,...I'm kinda feeling like the rain. I'm in a 'spitty' mood too. I don't know if I wanna sleep the day away, crochet a little, read a book, study, eat a little something, or just watch some mindless T.V. O_0

        I'm trying not to think about it too seriously. Just keeping it as a casual...whatever..kind of thought. Just like the Treasury...actually more like a half-Treasury...curated by ONLYme2u...

        It's entitled Beige + Jean Blue...Even though it's small...it's packed full of big cute-ness!  Items like these Blue Jean Dangle Earrings by GoodieStore...

      I made that brooch out of some recycled yarn and thread I had. I don't know how cute it is, but I know 'I' like it! :-) I like that it's something useful made from something that was gonna be of no use just hanging around in my yarn bag!

      Sometimes I have nice yarns and threads, but not enough to make anything out of. So it just sits there....until I take some of it, like I did with this gray Caron Simply Soft yarn...

        ....and this black micro-fiber.... 

       ...and I pair it up with some 'Ugly'...but not to me! ^_^...leftover Bernat Softee variegated cranberry yarn...

      ...and get to work on a new recycled headband! :-) ...

         I know you probably can't see it now... ^_^ ...but wait until you see it finished and with a black crocheted flower on the side!...*Humor me, People!!! LOL*

       Anyway!....I hope to finish it today. I'm also gonna make the pink and the gray headbands for the Giveaway today too. (I'll put the photos of them up as soon as they're finished)...By the way, I finally did list one of the headbands yesterday! I'm gonna try to list one every day...I'm gonna try!!...Keeping it casual...remember! ^_^

        Mr. Wug and I,...before the phone call,...did a sappy music post on our 'In The House.....' blog too...HERE. If you're in the mood for some cute and sappy songs, come on over! :-)) ...We're all caught up now. One post a week since we started it. It's been a nice 'couples' distraction...besides 'Date Night' I mean. ^_^

       I am sorry to report that 'Date Night' was a 'bust'. :-( It was another one of those situations of the 'best-laid-plans'...going completely awry!! And I'm not happy about it either!!!

      I'm gonna try to be sensitive here, without going into too much detail about what happened. Let's just say that someone had a situation last night that needed immediate attention. Yeah....that's a nice way to say it! :-)

      And let's just say that instead of hubby and I dancing in San Juan Costa Rica, sipping fruity drinks, eating good food, and walking across moonlit sandy beaches....cuz you know I wouldn't be out there in the hot sun ANYWAY!! LOL...we were dealing with someone's "situation". :-(

         Frankly, as the night went on, I was saying to myself:...

...because....because......(and I'm REALLY 'working' to be sensitive here!)...did you ever have one of those times when someone needs your help...badly!, but they don't want to accept the advice you're trying to give them?!

         While I was eating my 'Burger King' double cheeseburger, and gnawing on some fried onion rings, (I think hubby had some french fries for dinner...*smh*) I was thinking: I wonder what they're eating for dinner in Costa Rica?!....and what music is playing?...Is that volcano erupting?...Are we missing the traditional dance of the ladies with the swirling dresses?! :-(

        Yeah, Okay....so my mind was not really as involved in the "situation" as it could have been!

      I'm usually a good person to talk to in a crisis, but this time...and on my Friday 'Date Night'...I was not wanting to deal with someone's "issues"! I just wanted to relax with my hubby and go to Central America! ^_^ Was that too much to ask?!...I only wanted ONE night!!

      Oh Well, it's now Saturday...The "situation" continues....I hope hubby and I will be able to get this taken care of before the day wears on too long. There's a Congregation picnic today!! O_O

      For now, I've got to do some talking to myself:..."Listen Poetesswug, you can't just 'veg' out of the "situation"! Put that thinker of yours to some use! Your hubby needs your help here!!...You can't just do like you want to do and...

LOL...and I also need a B-I-G cup of coffee this morning!!!!....A BIG one!!! I need to stay awake here!! Let's get this person's "situation" over with as soon as possible, and get on with my Saturday! ^_^

      I can't go to Costa Rica now, but I do have some crocheting to get back to work on...The 'Wicky Wacky Mitchy Matchy Circle Scarf' inspired me. I decided to do a regular scarf in the same style. I'm going to call it a 'Sweater Scarf'. It has, pretty much, the same colors in it except for one change...

      Instead of the green and sparkly white, it has a lavender thread in it.

       Before the "situation" interrupted my Costa Rica 'Date Night' plans, this is how far I had gotten...

       So, hopefully the tides will turn soon and I can get back to it...YAY! I think I actually told you the story without hurting anyone's feelings, or revealing too much!...I do know how frustrating it must be for you having to read it this way though. I HATE it when people do that!! ^_^ So...I'm sorry. But I hope you understand this time. You KNOW how much I really want to tell you the WHOLE story!!!!!! LOL
