Random 'Stream Of Consciousness' Friday!

     Why didn't I start the crochet gauge check for my girlfriend's mittens with some other color yarn besides mint green?! O_O I mean...mint green, Poetesswug?!!!...Seriously?!...Now I have a pair of mint green ADULT SIZE mittens to try to get somebody to buy from my wuglyees crochet shop!! O_O My practically DEAD wuglyees crochet shop!! O_O
 

     And then I had the bright idea...after the mint green mittens came out so beautiful...O_O...to make a matching scarf! A matching scarf with a pattern I made up!!...
 

     I'm calling it the 'Corded Sweater Scarf'. :-) The name is because of the sweater cuff on the ends of the scarf, and the cord pattern on the edges of each side of it.
 

     When I asked my husband what he thought of it, he said: "What is it?!...A sleeve?"...*Blink, Blink*...Ha! Ha! Ha!...I never even noticed that it looked like a sleeve until he said that!! ^_^ ...WHATEVER!!!! LOL
 

     So what if my creative side runs toward ugly...yucky...mint green...and sleeves!! ^_^ Somebody is gonna love it!!...PLEASE!!!! LOL

     Why does Serena Williams have on a completely different color outfit at the U.S. Open today?!...Did her other outfits float away in all of that rain New York got yesterday?! ^_^ Don't get me wrong though! I like orange and pink and yellow worn all together!! O_O And where would be better to wear it than in New York?! :-)

     Did the hummingbirds get a memo that I didn't get?...that Fall (Autumn) isn't coming this year, or something?! O_O I mean...it's already into the second week of September!! But they're just flying back and forth, dancing and sipping away!!
     Along the same lines though, the bumblebees are all over the place right now too! O_O They're even pollinating my forsythia like crazy! The forsythia that was beaten down to the ground by the rain...that came back upright a bit yesterday...and that was beaten down again last night! Ugh! Thanks to the rain and the bees, I have a beautiful ground cover of yellow forsythia! ^_^

    YAY!!! Hubby may finally have a new job!! ^_^ Of course, due to the job physical, the manual he has to download, read, and pass the test with, and all the other stuff related to starting a new job (stress, scheduling, etc), his mind is gonna be even more frayed than mine for a few days!...And that's saying something!! LOL

     I really...Really...REALLY!...need to pluck my eyebrows!! ^_^ I'm slowly approaching uni-brow, fat-caterpillar status!! LOL It's a good thing I have a good friend with a steady plucking hand, and anti-laughability!! ^_^ And the anti-laughability thing is important!! I mean...who wants a friend coming at them with a sharp object, but with the inability to control a belly laugh that's rising up from their toes?!!! ^_^ NOT ME!!!

     Does anybody wanna sponsor a crochet party at their house, where I supply all of the product, and you take away 30% of whatever is sold?!...Huh?!...HUH?! ^_^ I need somebody to do the 'grunt' work for me and just let me CROCHET!!! :-)

    Lastly, today...hubby and I aren't going out of the country for our 'Virtual Date' tonight. Due to him having to 'cram' for his job test on Monday, we're gonna be keeping it close to home....But maybe some ice cream, cookies, and covering over of all mirrors that might make me have to look at my humongous uni-brow, is in order though! LOL To my credit, my husband is completely aware of crochet sweater scarf sleeves, but completely oblivious to his wife's caterpillar uni-brow!! ^_^ That's why we've lasted for 33 years!! :-) {All happily married flabby hairy people, UNITE!! LOL}

My Super-Hero

He has x-ray vision,
but he`s as blind as a bat.
He sees straight to my heart,
but cannot see my fat.

He`s as strong as an ox,
but as gentle as can be.
He`s sexy in his shorts,
and in a suit-a sight to see!

He`s my super-hero,
even though he can't  fly;
He doesn`t drive a Bat-Mobile,
or freeze time with his eye.

But the things that he can do
far outweigh the things he can`t;
and they give the word "Super-Hero"
a whole new slant! 

Another Lesson I Learned...From The Backyard This Time!

        Thanks 'everybody', for the load of encouragement I received from all of you yesterday! Sending BIG love ♥ ♥ ♥ and smoochy kisses to all of your foreheads, and a BIG soft squishy hug 'round the neck!! {Is that enough 'sap' for you this early in the morning?! ^_^}
     When I was reading through your comments last night I found myself tearing up at some points, and then laughing out loud at others!! You sure know how to cheer a girl up!...Okay, Thank you...and moving on!.....
         Just like the backyard yesterday, the 'Wug' life is showing signs of things 'getting back to normal'.  Mr. Wug has been in the backyard making sure that nothing is trying to invade, over-run, or drown out his flower 'babies'...So far, so good...except for a little bit of transition going on.

      ...are of one of his giant yellow sunflowers. :-( He said it looked sad, and that he thinks it's dying...Uhhhh!...the flower is drooping......the center petals are all dried up and blown away....You know,...'good deduction Watson Wug'! ^_^ I think you're right!! {Sorry...I couldn't help the Sherlock Holmes reference. Forgive me Sherlock! LOL}
       But look at what the other sunflowers, the deep purple ones are doing!!...

       Oh Yeah!! They're coming to life!! :-) Pretty soon we're gonna have some new flowers out here to look at! In all their purple gorgeousness!...Hmmm...If I take the time to think about it...which I just did! ^_^ ...I'd say there's a lesson this backyard is trying to teach me!...Life in this system is never 'all' great...But it's also never 'all' bad. In the final analysis, there's always love...and hope!
       Okay, I'm about to get all 'metaphor'-ic on you! ^_^...Hubby loves his flowers. We love our friends and family...Hubby hopes the new flowers grow pretty before the cold weather gets here. I hope....our next Friday 'Date Night' doesn't get interrupted for growing flowers, loving friends and family, or ALMOST anything!!!! {What?!....I have my own agenda!!} LOL There is one BIG thing I'm hoping for that I'd GLADLY give up my Friday 'Date Night' for!!!!!!.......COME!!!!!! ^_^ {My 'in real life' friends will know what I mean with that reference! LOL}
         Speaking of 'Date Night', my hubby...Big Kisses to him! ♥ ... kinda sorta saved it a little. :-) Since we already had some homemade rice and beans prepared for Costa Rica, he decided to get some other 'eats' to make it a sorta Costa Rican one hour 'getaway'....

        He stopped at the Chinese food restaurant around the corner...Shhhhhh! We're in Costa Rica!! ^_^ The Chinese food hostess didn't know that!...and he got some chicken wings and broccoli with garlic sauce, over more rice...

        ...and we pretended we were looking at sunsets over the water...for an hour. :-)
       For other central American food inspiration, he brought this!...

        It's 'Mucho Mango' juice! ^_^ ... It's made by Arizona.....WHATEVER!!!! We were in Costa Rica! ^_^
       For dessert...

     Apple pie, with cinnamon...And...

       ...(because he couldn't find any ice cream that was 'Costa Rica' enough in one container! ^_^)...TWO containers of ice cream that we scooped out and mixed together...Mango and Pineapple Coconut!!....YUM!!...You can't get more Costa Rican-y than that, can you?!!
        Okay, so it wasn't a long visit. But I think you probably would agree with me that it was a very good visit!! ^_^
         Between my one hour 'getaway' dinner in Costa Rica, watching the Women's Semi-Final Tennis matches (SO GOOD!!!), and crocheting some more on my 'Sweater Scarf'...

     ...it was a very good night! :-) Lesson learned backyard!! 'Just hang in there. It'll all get better again.'......I got that lesson from hubby yesterday too! :-) How right you both are!!! :-]

Happy Anniversary To You "Mr. Wug"!!!

    Good Morning and Happy Anniversary Mr. Wug. I decided that since we've been married  28 years I'd take the time today and list 28 things I've learned about you these 28 years:

    1.) That you're a very hard worker. No matter what the job is, you're in, you're loyal, and you'll do even the dirty jobs that no one else wants to do.

   2.) ...that I think you have dyslexia...really bad! Every time you say: "Sword" and "Heli-cock-ter" it confirms my belief!

   3.) ...that you LOVE gadgets!!

    ...ANY kind of gadgets!

   4.) ...that I wasn't your first love. It was a 1978 Chevy Chevette...

    ...I took her place next to you on our wedding day. But she still had your heart for many years afterward...until I crashed her! OOPS!!

   5.) ...that, even though we took the class 3 different times, your Sign Language still is not very good.

   ...and I'm not the only one that thinks so!

   6.) ...that even when I don't like what you do,...I mean REALLY don't like what you do!...I still love you!

   7.) ...that you like sleep even more than me!...And that's saying something, 'cause I do love my "Naps"!

   8.) ...that even though we both have gained some weight, and grown some hair in places where hair shouldn't be, I still think you're pretty cute! And you dress up pretty good!!

   9.) ...that you love sports...just like me!!!

   10.) ...that even though we never had kids, I know you would have made an awesome dad!

   11.) ...that you never can stay mad with me for very long...even when you try.

   12.) ...that you can't STAND it when I give you the silent treatment. You would much rather hear me yelling. :-/

   13.) ...that you know I love flowers, and you always did...

   14.) ...that you really don't like sitting and watching movies...unless they are "The Rocketeer"! (What's up with that?!)

   15.) ...that you love to go for long rides in the car...Again, just like me!

   16.) ...that you love, love, love to talk when you're at a gathering around a lot of people, but when it's just the two of us you'd much rather point, grin, and nod.

   17.) ...that you love to waste time doing anything else but what it was you were SUPPOSE to be doing! And you'd like to be doing that 'anything else' at the same time as when you were doing the thing you were 'suppose' to be doing!!

   18.) ...that a good meal never gets by you!...Neither does a pastry!!

   19.) ...that you're always beside and behind me, even if it makes you uncomfortable.

   20.) ...that your friends don't always understand you, but they love you and will do anything for you!

   21.) ...that you love to cuddle and hold hands, even though you pretend to be uncomfortable with it sometimes.

   22.) ...that you're not a very good cook. Let's face the facts, you're a very good tryer,...and you DO make a mean beef stew,...but everything else is either not seasoned, not done, or overdone!

   23.) ...that you haven't claimed, sincerely, a side of the bed. You'll sleep anywhere! But you have fiercely claimed your secret junk food 'Stash'!!

   24.) ...that time doesn't mean a whole lot to you...except after it's already gone!

   25.) ...that you can't lie well, so it's a good thing you don't really try to!...Also, you don't avoid telling the truth well either! The question: "Does this make me look fat?" could have you in another mental place for 3 minutes!...And thus, I always already know the answer!! LOL

   26.) ...that if I live another 28 years I'd like to do it all again with you.

   27.) ...that you may not have known how to love when we first started this 28 year journey, but you're very good at it now!

   28.) ...that every anniversary you make me happy that we're still together and that you love me very much.  And I love you very much too Mr. Wug.  Love "Is Something That We Do!" Happy Anniversary! You're my Super-Hero!!
