From the moment I saw these gorgeous earrings, from CinLynnBoutique, I loved them!! It was kind of a surprise to me that I loved them so much too, considering my love of everything green. Hmmm....maybe I'm missing the summer season already.....or maybe I have a sweet tooth. True...and True!! :-) But whatever the reason, my Wuglyees shop and me are very happy to be rubbing shoulders with Cindy's Blue Candy Jade and Antique Brass Earrings!
We're in a new Treasury together!! A Treasury entitled Cool Blues and Ice, curated by MaritimeArts!!
Some people just have an eye for beauty. Cindy does! And Melanie, this Treasury's curator, definitely does!!...And it's so nice to see my Ocean Blue Bead Flower Necklace sitting right up there in the mix!
This was the necklace I put together myself. I crocheted the flower, strung the beads, and figured out the design of how it would hang. I'm a proud Mama with this one. :-]
I'm not the only person with some "pretty" in this Treasury though! I wanted to share with you a couple of my favorites in here...One being this cool Long Knit Navy Blue Ribbed Scarf by StitchesStones.
Knowing how much work knitting takes makes me admire her for taking the time to add all of the pretty detail and everything. And it's photographed so pretty too!
And I also loved these Simply Sweet-Blue Mum Earrings by pink80sgirl.
Let's see....why do I love these?! Um....they're flowers......they're that pretty shade of blue.....and they're photographed on top of W-O-R-D-S!! Perfect!! :-)
Now, when you curate a Treasury on Etsy they encourage you not to put any of your own shop items in it. So treasuries are not for self-promotion. They are purely to share or to entertain yourself with. But the curator of this beautiful Treasury, who makes clothes mainly for reenactments, had some 'Cool Blues' in her own shop! So, since she's not showing it to you...like a true self-less sharer...I'll show it to you!!
She has this 'Cool' One Ruffle Skirt.
This 'Cool' Cluster of Feathers Fascinator.
And this 'Cool' Plaid Cotton Skirt with Stripe.
There's a lot of 'Cool Blues' going on all over the place lately!! And I'm happy to see Wuglyees in such a 'Cool' place! Thank you Melanie!
On a personal note, hubby and I will be enjoying some time together tomorrow, as I know many of you will be doing with your families. Have a good time, don't start no fights you can't end by dinnertime, and if you're a sports fanatic like me....ENJOY!!!
Me and the red and black scarf have a date today...after I meet with Miss Skeeter, Miss Celia and Minny. {The book I'm reading, The Help} I had to put it down for a couple of days. Something happened in the book that was so sad that I didn't want to read what was about to happen. Or, rather, what I thought was about to happen. I'll let you know if I was right later...I hope not! :-{
Hubby hasn't decided if he wants to be the guest speaker tomorrow or over the weekend, so I guess you'll just have to be here to see!! :-) ... And please get your comments posted. There's only one more week now before the scarf giveaway drawings!! {Click the right side bar photo of the scarf for details-->}...Okay, let me leave you with one more 'Cool' blue from Alishbas Art Gallery blog.
The perfect thing to look at before you read poetry! :-)
Family Perspective
When we're all together we are--
Massively talkative,
argumentative, competitive;
adaptive, adhesive,
so much fun, addictive.
When we want to be, we are--
acceptive, accommodative,
attentive, creative;
appreciative, inclusive,
enjoyably cooperative.
When you catch us on a bad day we're--
aggressive, combative,
allusive, explosive;
assertive, offensive, ,
over-protective, combustive..
When we take the time to think we are--
assertive, affective,
adoptive, non-corrosive;
attractive, progressive,
apprehensive, but non-subversive.
But what our family mostly is, is--
actively responsive,
communicative, decisive,
Positive, supportive;
And as a spiritual collective,
moved by one directive.

Talented Friends and Inventions!
In the past I've told you about my friends. About how beautiful they are, how much fun they are, and how supportive of me they are. But I've failed to tell you how truly talented they are! In the next few days I'm going to rectify that oversight.
The header photo today is a piece of jewelry that was done by my friend who owns...
...SpanishLullabies, on etsy. She is truly amazing in what she does with her jewelry. If you remember, in an earlier post she twisted my shop name in wire while I was sitting and looking at her! Well, I have an interview and pictures of her work coming soon.
I also have two friends who have been making the news press lately! They're both Storytellers. Meaning that they reenact historical times and tell the story from the perspective of the historical person. There's not that many people that do this anymore, especially not in the Northeastern part of the United States. But I have two friends who do!! One is Gwen...
She's been doing it a long time. Follow the link for all of her info and pictures.
I'm putting together a package to show you my other friend....maybe even including some video! I hope you will enjoy that. It's coming up very soon too....The truth is that I have lots of talented friends...from painters, knitters and crafters, to actors, singers, and teachers...who inspire me all the time. I guess that's why my brain is working so furiously all the time!
And because I felt so good yesterday, I was like a machine of productivity!! :-] I woke up ready to go! And good thing too, because I had a custom order that I had to get done...I sold my little Hide Away Slipper Necklace to a customer and she came back and asked me to make her another one!
The problem for me was that I didn't write the pattern down when I made the original one!! So yesterday I had to figure out how to re-do it, and then WRITE IT DOWN!! :-v It took three tries to get the sizing and everything right, but I did it!! This is one of the necklaces I finished....Yes, I said ONE OF....! :-]
It doesn't seem like much, right?! But it has a secret...
....compartment!! I made it so that when you're washing dishes, or whatever, you can sit your wedding ring in here for safety! It works perfectly for that too! But I suppose you could keep an emergency mint, or a small mailbox key or whatever you want in there too! :-] What do you think of my invention?!
And since I don't like to waste things, not even the ugly...didn't-turn-out-exactly-how-I-wanted...things, I made something out of them too.....KEY CHAINS!
The above one was too big as a necklace...The below one was too small.
So, as you can see, I was busy yesterday. I even got a lot of studying, some reading, and my checkbook balanced yesterday too!! :-)) It was a good day!...Unfortunately it didn't last. I woke up off and on all night with a bad headache....and it doesn't seem to want to go away! So I don't know how much I'm actually going to get done today, but with me....you just never know! ^_^
Have a good day everyone! What are your plans today?!
One Day!
One day of the week I'm just as good as good can be!
The next day I'm in pain so bad that I can hardly see!
One day I'm a typing, tweeting, fool with humorous banter.
The next day I'm an irritated, angry, yelling, ranter!
One day it'll come together, but unfortunately not now!
Too bad too, because this week is starting with an "OW!"

A Little Sprucing Up
If you've been in my Wuglyees shop on Etsy you might have seen this scarf before...but the chances of you recognizing it right now are probably pretty slim!! :-] Oooooo Whee! The photos were bad!! So, this weekend me and hubby started what is undoubtedly going to be a LONG process of re-taking the photos in my shop. This Clowning Around Scarf was only the beginning.
My "baby" looks much better now! Not perfect yet,...but better. We also took some more shots of the Giveaway scarves.
I still don't think the real colors of this one are showing that well. Whoever wins it will just have to see for themselves! :-] The drawing for it will be next Wednesday, December 1, 2010. All of your comments are still going in the box every day!
We also took some better shots of my Purples Royal Blue Persuasion Scarf because it was looking like a "Hot Mess"!!, as we Southerners would say. ^_^ See if you think it looks any better now...that is, if you even saw the other pictures I had in the shop!
What do you think?!...The other things new in my shop are this Turquoise Blue Sky Butterfly Crochet Necklace and Comb Set that I listed the other day...
....and a slew of sales that I got over the last few days!! It's been nice to see people buying!! Not just because of the money, but because it's so easy for me to convince myself that nobody appreciates crocheted items anymore, like I do! But along with the sales has come some really wonderful comments about my work, so.....what do I know about appreciation?! :-))
As you've noticed, no doubt, I haven't been talking about Thanksgiving or the holidays. That's because I don't celebrate them. I can appreciate that many of you probably do though, and you will be having more family around and time off from work. THAT I can appreciate! I'm looking forward to hubby being off too! So, enjoy your families and time off. Be thankful and generous every day though, for all you have and all that's given to you. It's the way it should be anyway, right?!
You can also be thankful that my hubby is not in charge of what's generously given away around here! I found this photo slipped in with the others when I uploaded them this morning...
He thinks he's so funny!! He's just determined to give my party scarf to somebody!!! But if he thinks that, he's got another 'think' coming!!! I'll be nice with my words.....because I'M A LADY!!!! ^_^
The Line Between Lady And Girl
Where is the line
between lady and girl?
A life of experience,
and loss of her curl.
A woman just 'is',
and a 'Broad' is kinda tough.
A 'Gal' is so passive-
she'll take all your guff.
But if she's a 'Lady'
there's classiness there;
And its not all about
how she fixes her hair.
No 'Female' or 'Chick'
as a nickname will do;
And not even a 'Dame'
holds a candle to you.
So, where is the line
between lady and girl?
A life of experience,
and a whole, big old world!

"Argh, Argh, Argh"...and Chocolate!!!
This post is really for my hubby, even though I had to put my black and white skunk scarf in the header photo as a goodbye gesture because.....it SOLD! I've been doing some big time 'Happy Dances' over the last week or so because of sales in my shop! With all of the complaining I've been doing about not getting any traffic in my Wuglyees shop, it's nice to actually have the pleasure of wrapping something up, nice and pretty with ribbons and everything, and sending it on it's way!
I also sold another couple of items yesterday! Two necklaces!!
Since these crochet necklaces were designed by me, with the special backing I put on them to stop them from curling, it makes me even more happy to see that somebody besides me likes them!! :-))
I know, I know.....what about hubby?! Well, let me just say...He Went Shopping Again! LOL Before I tell you about it, I need some chocolate!!
CinLynnBoutique's Chocolatte--I Love You! Treasury to the rescue!! It's just a stash place full of chocolate goodies! And she put my Lady Peacock Scarf in there too. How sweet is that?! ;-) Thank you Cindy! You can visit her blog...HERE...and comment on the treasury too, if you like...It was just what I needed this morning...before I tell you about my hubby's newest adventure that he went on yesterday...for me.
I mentioned to you all recently about how my natural light light bulb "bit the dust" and that my pictures are suffering because of it....Well, suffering more than usual! LOL Well, yesterday hubby went on the hunt to all of the stores in our area to try to find me another one, starting with the store where he bought the other one..Home Depot.
They no longer had them...But there was no use in wasting a trip to Home Depot!!! {Let me just say that it's a good thing that I didn't need a Super Duper Side-loading Washing Machine, or rather, that he didn't have time to buy it and load it up and everything yesterday! ^_^} He knew that my tape measure had also recentlybeen killed died on me. So he decided there was no time like the present...since he was already there anyway...to get me a new one!!
And OH YEAH! They had tape measurers!! There were plastic ones, metal ones, rubberized ones, light duty, heavy duty, black ones, orange ones, 8 foot, 12 foot, 16 foot, some reading decimals, some reading inches, milimeters, centimeters, some with lights on them......!! WHEW So......what to do?!! Especially since the little 12 foot one I had before...
...was the one tape measurer they didn't have!!!
When my hubby can't make a decision on which one....and he's in Home Depot {with his manly man self!}...he's gets all of them...IN ONE TAPE MEASURER!! Meet....
....or should I say...
This tape measurer itself is 3 1/2 inches wide!! {or about 8 1/2 cm} And it's 1 1/2 inches THICK!! {4cm}
And it's 26 feet long...
Apparently I needed to measure airport runways, football fields, and highway interstates!! LOL
Oh well, at least I now have a convenient 'inch' versus 'centimeter' reading!
And I'm sure this knob...if I ever need to turn it...will open a garage...
...or land planes!!! LOL
Oh Yes! My hubby loves, loves, loves a GADGET!!! But usually they only hold his attention for a short time. That's what happened with these...
But since it looks like this new tape measurer has a toaster attachment...
...it just might hold his attention a bit longer!! LOL {I think I better hide it! ^_^} (By the way, hubby is going to do another Guest Blog Post here soon. He told me to ask you if you have any suggestions for him on what he should talk about, so please let him know.....I'M SCARED!!! LOL)
Enjoy the rest of your Sunday everybody!! I've got to measure mine and see what it's going to be!
Men Are Not The Same
Men are not the same.
Women, you know what I mean.
They are complicated, quiet,
not fanatics being clean.
Men are not the same.
They could care less how they look!
Yes, a generalization,
in which I could write a book.
Men are not the same.
On long detail don't waste their time.
They will say the color's green,'
Where we say emerald, teal, or lime.
Men are not the same.
Some things are obvious to see.
Like muscle mass and hair,
and the different ways we pee.
The truth is that we like it!
Our feigned annoyance is a myth.
Because if we were both the same
there'd be no one to bicker with!
