"Tuesday...This Is How I Roll!"

     "Yeah, I'm Up!"...but I'm not awake...yet! ^_^ But even when I'm not completely awake I can still talk! That's just how I roll! LOL...And this morning I wanna talk about this cute owl pillow!...

     Yes! Owls are still 'in'! :-) And they've been 'in' for a long time! In fact, my Etsy search every morning comes across at least one owl...usually more than one! But they're so cute...and Etsian's are so creative in the way they display them...that I don't mind at all. Bring on the owls!! :-)

      I also wanna talk about this bracelet!...

     I'm not that much of a bracelet wearer...that's just how I roll!...but I still can admire a beautiful turquoise bracelet...that's sharing the color of my latest crochet boutonniere set...just saying! ^_^ AND it has a flower!!! :-)

     Also, I wanna talk about how cute 'Fall Inspired' jewelry is...especially this necklace!...

      Wouldn't this look pretty with a tweed skirt, or a plain white sweater?! :-) Of course, not everybody would wear it the same way I would. But if I was dressing for Fall, plain white sweaters and tweed skirts is how I would roll! :-)

      And lastly...as far as Etsy finds is concerned...I wanna talk about pincushions....Or should I say 'THIS' pincushion! :-) ...

      He's like the superhero of pincushions! ^_^ And look at all of those cute colored pins!!! :-)

     Okay...I'm MORE awake now. And I can tell you that hubby's sister is gone. He loved seeing her, and hopes it won't be that long before he sees her the next time. :-) ♥ ... I can also tell you that my hummingbirds are 'officially' gone now...I think. One flew up to the window while I was talking to my girlfriend on the phone yesterday!!
     He totally ignored the feeder, and instead came over to the window and looks at me! He flew left and right, tipping his little head, trying to look in the window!! ;_; Yes...I teared up. It was sorta like he was saying:

        "Hi Poetesswug! I got almost all the way down to the Gulf of Mexico and remembered that I hadn't said 'Thank You' and 'Goodbye'! So I had to dart back and give you a little wave. Okay...gotta go. See ya next year!"

     Okay...so hummingbirds don't talk. I get that!...But I talk!...for them! ^_^ ...

     Have a good day, Everybody! :-)

Family Perspective

When we're all together we are--
Massively talkative,
argumentative, competitive;
adaptive, adhesive,
so much fun, addictive.

When we want to be, we are--
acceptive, accommodative,
attentive, creative;
appreciative, inclusive,
enjoyably cooperative.

When you catch us on a bad day we're--
aggressive, combative,
allusive, explosive;
assertive, offensive, ,
over-protective, combustive..

When we take the time to think we are--
assertive, affective,
adoptive, non-corrosive;
attractive, progressive,
apprehensive, but non-subversive.

But what our family mostly is, is--
actively responsive,
communicative, acceptive,
Positive, supportive;
And as a spiritual collective,
moved by one directive.

Company's Coming!...Company's Coming!

          I saw this beautiful necklace in the etsy shop called JenniferMoonJewelry and almost fell in 'necklace love'! :-) And for more than one reason too....Yes! I am a colored jewelry nut! And the combination of Pea pods wrapped in antique bronze wire and gold leaves definitely draws that part of my jewelry nuttiness to the fore!
       But I also looked at it this morning...in my poetic brain kinda way...and saw...family. :-) Don't those peas all nuzzled up beside each other look like family?!....Well, sometimes my family looks like that. Sometimes I look at my family and just see 'red'!! LOL...Whatever!! ^_^
      But because I've got some special company coming from out of state today, I'm all about family today. :-] My hubby's sister, my 'sis-in-law'....she calls me 'Sis' :-) ...is coming!!! :-) I can't wait for her to get here!!
       My siblings and I, while growing up, were very close...
       ...You would hardly ever see one of us without the others...But as we've grown up, and as our lives have taken different roads, we aren't as close as we used to be...I miss that. But it's funny how, if you keep your heart open, you can find family everywhere!...sometimes even in your own family! LOL...The family you marry into I mean.
      I love my sister-in-law! :-) She's the kindest, sweetest person you'll ever meet...And strangely enough...and it's a long story I'll spare you from going into today...my hubby didn't meet her himself until he was about 16 I think! In fact, he didn't even know she existed!
      When he found out he had a 'Big Sister'....since he was the oldest at that time...he was ecstatic!!! :-) She came to stay with them for the summer shortly after he found out about her, and he loved her right away. In fact, it was an affectionate love he'd never had with anyone...not even his own mom...up to that point. (Things have changed drastically in that regard now!)
      His memories included sitting on the floor and talking very openly with her while she braided his hair....Yes! He is a boy! ^_^ ..If you weren't a black guy in the 70's you're not gonna understand it. You just aren't!! LOL
      Anyway, when the two of them are together I am always amazed at the change in him...He's a sweetie in my book anyway, but somehow when she's around, he's softer, more thoughtful, gentle, more respectful...protective even. You can just look at him and tell that he would never allow anything bad to happen to his sister. :-) It's a look I love to see, and I'm looking forward to it today!...Company's coming!!!

           In other, unrelated, news...I finished the new eight-color scarf!...
        If you saw the other one...before it sold...you'd know that I put different colors in this one. I just couldn't bring myself to make the same one again....I just couldn't!! LOL This one has chocolate brown, white, golden yellow, turquoise, red, gray, mint green, and a straw tan shade...
        Depending on whether I can de-excite myself about my company that's coming...^_^...I might list this one in the shop later today...I listed three new items yesterday though, so maybe not...I listed the three yesterday to replace three recent sales I made...Yep! More sales!! :-)) I don't know why, all of a sudden, my shop seems to be getting a lot of attention, but you'll get no arguments from me! Bring it on! I'm still crocheting!!!! ^_^
      Have a good day Everybody...and forgive my silly poem below. It's one I wrote a while ago!! :-)

Wuglyees...In A Cool Place

    From the moment I saw these gorgeous earrings, from CinLynnBoutique, I loved them!! It was kind of a surprise to me that I loved them so much too, considering my love of everything green. Hmmm....maybe I'm missing the summer season already.....or maybe I have a sweet tooth. True...and True!! :-) But whatever the reason, my Wuglyees shop and me are very happy to be rubbing shoulders with Cindy's Blue Candy Jade and Antique Brass Earrings!
   We're in a new Treasury together!! A Treasury entitled Cool Blues and Ice, curated by MaritimeArts!!
    Some people just have an eye for beauty. Cindy does! And Melanie, this Treasury's curator, definitely does!!...And it's so nice to see my Ocean Blue Bead Flower Necklace sitting right up there in the mix!
    This was the necklace I put together myself. I crocheted the flower, strung the beads, and figured out the design of how it would hang. I'm a proud Mama with this one. :-]
    I'm not the only person with some "pretty" in this Treasury though! I wanted to share with you a couple of my favorites in here...One being this cool Long Knit Navy Blue Ribbed Scarf by StitchesStones.
    Knowing how much work knitting takes makes me admire her for taking the time to add all of the pretty detail and everything. And it's photographed so pretty too!
   And I also loved these Simply Sweet-Blue Mum Earrings by pink80sgirl.
     Let's see....why do I love these?! Um....they're flowers......they're that pretty shade of blue.....and they're photographed on top of  W-O-R-D-S!! Perfect!! :-)
   Now, when you curate a Treasury on Etsy they encourage you not to put any of your own shop items in it. So treasuries are not for self-promotion. They are purely to share or to entertain yourself with. But the curator of this beautiful Treasury, who makes clothes mainly for reenactments, had some 'Cool Blues' in her own shop! So, since she's not showing it to you...like a true self-less sharer...I'll show it to you!!
    She has this 'Cool' One Ruffle Skirt.
    This 'Cool' Cluster of Feathers Fascinator.
    And this 'Cool' Plaid Cotton Skirt with Stripe.
    There's a lot of 'Cool Blues' going on all over the place lately!! And I'm happy to see Wuglyees in such a 'Cool' place! Thank you Melanie!
   On a personal note, hubby and I will be enjoying some time together tomorrow, as I know many of you will be doing with your families. Have a good time, don't start no fights you can't end by dinnertime, and if you're a sports fanatic like me....ENJOY!!!
   Me and the red and black scarf have a date today...after I meet with Miss Skeeter, Miss Celia and Minny. {The book I'm reading, The Help} I had to put it down for a couple of days. Something happened in the book that was so sad that I didn't want to read what was about to happen. Or, rather, what I thought was about to happen. I'll let you know if I was right later...I hope not! :-{
   Hubby hasn't decided if he wants to be the guest speaker tomorrow or over the weekend, so I guess you'll just have to be here to see!! :-) ... And please get your comments posted. There's only one more week now before the scarf giveaway drawings!! {Click the right side bar photo of the scarf for details-->}...Okay, let me leave you with one more 'Cool' blue from Alishbas Art Gallery blog.
     The perfect thing to look at before you read poetry! :-)
