A Beautiful Walk In The Snow Anyone?!

https://www.etsy.com/listing/223534653/crochet-puppy-shoe-candy-holder-beige?ref=shop_home_feat_2

      Okay...I'm back again! ^_^ But this time I brought along my trusty side kick...'Mr. Puppy Shoe'. 'Baby Wuglyee' was finally ready to part with him, so he's now listed in my wuglyees shop for sale. :-) Since he's a one-of-a-kind creation, I decided that he'd make a cute candy or stash holder for someone!

      I will not be making another one any time soon, so if you want him you better 'COME AND GET HIM' now!! LOL There must be someone out there looking for a cute place to put their tootsie rolls, jolly ranchers, or hot balls!! ^_^ Or, for pet lovers, you can keep your doggie's treats in here!...It would be a...'woof! woof!...of a great idea, don't you think?! ^_^

      The truth is I'm just not about wasting stuff I make! And since I'm not making a second puppy shoe slipper, it seemed kinda useless and sad to have him just sitting around here staring at me in that "Come On....I Need A Friend" kinda way!! LOL

      I did make a second slipper though! LOL It just wasn't a puppy!!...

      It'll hold a lot more candy than the puppy too!...because it was made for a size 13 foot!! ^_^

      Yep! That's what I've been doing with my time!...making puppy slipper holders...

      {By the way, hubby loves his finished pair still! ^_^}

      Oh Yeah...I've been watching more snow fall too!...

      And watching ice form....then melt...and then refreeze...and then melt again!!...UGH!

      Suffice it to say...I'm sure hoping that March isn't gonna show us more 'white stuff'! O_O I think I know enough about what white stuff looks like, feels like, and melts like, to fill a book of cover-to-cover, bound and filed, 'too-much-white-stuff!!', snow poems!!!

      In other news, today is the last day of our vacation... :-( Tomorrow will begin another week of phoning, reading, working, crocheting, writing, etc.... :-] It's been a great vacation though...relatively speaking. In other words, some things can't be changed about our situation, but we find our way around it and find great distraction in, among other things, eating, listening to music, playing games, and watching tv! ^_^
      I'll be back to making my artsy hats, and maybe a pair of slippers or two for the shop. If you want a pair, let me know what color, and what size, and I'll make those my first ones. :-) As to anything else I'll be making...doing...or talking about...stay tuned. I'm sure it'll be beautiful! ... And if not, I'll say it is anyway!! ^_^

Beauty

The sun is peeking through.
Its beam is flowing to the ground.
The Autumn at it's new peak,
and the leaves are fluttering down.

A baby girl's joyous laughing,
legs and arms kicking everywhere.
A mother, when she's  nursing,
playing with her baby's  hair.

The gentle rain, when falling
on a southern old tin roof.
A toddler's gap-faced grinning,
when they've  lost their first front tooth.

A man with long, bow legs,
walking slowly down the street.
A colorful spring flower,
visited by a bumble bee.

A person who is kind,
and smiles at everyone they meet.
An artist's painted picture,
with the last brush stroke complete.

An "I love you" that's said
just because they wanted to;
and the person that gives hugs
when they hear an "I love you".

Answering Your Questions...Finally!

      Can you believe that it's Wednesday already?! O_O I can't!! It seems like time has strapped on some booster rockets and decided that it's got a deadline that has to be met...yesterday!! LOL It feels like I was just unpacking from my 'virtual' weekend trip...and now it's time to figure out a destination, and pack up again!
      The truth is that I've been so preoccupied with goings-on in my real life that time hasn't been a 'pokey' friend of mine! It's been a 'speedy' friend! LOL...I've been crocheting like a crazy woman;...We sprung a big leak in the house (from upstairs to downstairs...into the laundry room...and around the dryer!!! Ugh!);...And we have a special visit of our 'circuit overseer' this week too! :-) {He is here for a week of encouragement for our congregation, and in our ministry. Jehovah's Witnesses do this regularly. ^_^}

     The repairman is here right now, to take care of the leak issues. Hubby is handling that. Ugh!...I'm gonna keep my head down and crochet!! :-] Speaking of which, let me show you how my new bridal shawl is coming along...as I answer a couple of questions that were asked by blog followers a while back....Uhhhh...sorry it took so long to answer them. I TOTALLY forgot about them!! I just found them today!! O_O...*hanging my head, and circling my toe in the sand* :-))

        Velma said: "Hi Deb here is a question for you and your husband. Did you ever dream of what your future would be and did it turn out like you envisioned?" (Paper Sewn Visions)

      Well Velma, the answer is 'Yes!" :-) We did dream of what our future would be, BUT it's not anywhere near what we dreamed of for ourselves!! :-)) Many, MANY years ago, before we became Jehovah's Witnesses, my husband had dreamed of joining the air force, or owning his own store! And I had dreamed of becoming a famous singer or poet! :-))
      Needless to say, hubby no longer dreams of the military...{Not to mention that he was turned down anyway, back when he was a young teenager. He wasn't eligible because of asthma and feet issues.}...or of owning a store! Just dealing with the flips and flops of life is enough excitement for him now! :-)) Although his asthma went away shortly after we were married!! ^_^ I scared it off!!! LOL
      And I no longer dream of being a famous singer or poet...although I still love music, and still sing anywhere and anytime I can! ^_^ The poet thing is still on my back burner. But I don't want to be famous anymore. I'd just like to be able to make enough money with it to keep the 'wolf away from the door'!! LOL {For those who don't know...that means I'd like to make enough money so that hubby and I don't have to worry about starving!! LOL}
      Strangely enough though, our dreams couldn't light a candle to how wonderfully our life has turned out so far! :-) We struggle financially, and health-wise, just like many people do...but we're still very much in love after 3o something years! (with another anniversary coming up in a week or so too!)
      Becoming Jehovah's Witnesses changed the course of our lives tremendously! In a very good way!! :-] In fact, I don't think we would've made it to year three if we hadn't started our Bible study with the Witnesses!! That's the truth! We were in a very different place in our marriage, and I was just about ready to go home to my daddy!! LOL And I'm sure he wasn't that happy with me either! All I did all day was sleep and watch 'soap operas'!! LOL
      Because we learned that God was more important than we were, the focus of our lives changed from being very self-centered, to doing what Jehovah God required of us...and focusing on helping other people too. I'm very proud of how, and who, we have become. :-] And we've helped many other people over the years as well. 'More happiness in giving...' It's very true! :-]

       Vicki said: "Here is my question--- how much time do you spend researching all the great items you find on etsy??..." (2 Bags Full

        The truth is...not much!! ^_^ I go to my activity feed on Etsy either in the morning, or at night, and I click on the things I like. Then I wait until I get ready to talk about something on my blog and I download the items from the activity feed to go along with what I wanna talk about....Usually, that is!
      Sometimes I just show off whatever I find, or whatever I'm working on! :-) Oh, if only you knew how 'little' thought went into me 'running my mouth' here on the blog!! LOL I truly just talk about whatever I want!!...That's probably why I never got into doing stuff to build numbers for the blog. It would mean I'd have to be particular about what I was putting here!! LOL As it is, I just assume that whoever is reading my writings must like going on a wordy adventure!! ^_^
      I can say that, all-in-all, it takes me anywhere from 20 minutes to 2 hours to put a post up. The longer time happens when I have to contact and link up other people's items...which I LOVE doing!! :-]
      I welcome any ideas for a blog, just so you know! ^_^ Just let me know what you want me to talk about, and I probably will!! :-) I even thought about having a regular Bible study day! But I was afraid it wouldn't be personal enough, so as to really teach! But if any of you would like an online Bible study...one-on-one...I'm willing! :-) Just let me know when and where you'd like to do the back-and-forth! (Facebook, Twitter, Etsy, by email, by 'snail mail', etc... ^_^)

      Okay...back to my crocheting I go!! ^_^ But if you have any other questions, ask away!! :-) You know how much I like to talk!!

I Can Hardly 'BEAR' Saying Goodbye!

      Hello Y'all!...I'm in a weird mood today. I got an invitation to one of my best friend's going away parties...she's moving to Florida :-( ...and I'm losing the mental battle of trying to be in denial about it. And the reason I'm losing the battle is because she did something that brought a lot of memories from the back of my mind...to the front of my mind, in a teary reality that I'm not ready to acknowledge.
      So, before I tell you what she did...I need to sit down. :-] ...

      Thankfully, I can always find a good place to sit down on Etsy! ^_^ These are some of the cutest chairs ever!!...

      The above one has FLOWERS!!! :-) I love it!...I wish I could afford to get it! I have the perfect spot for it!...Well, really, I could find a spot for all of them!! :-)) I'd just have to get rid of some non-essential, memory-holding...broken!...furniture! LOL

      Okay...now that I'm seated, let me tell you what my friend did...She called...we chatted...I cried...Then she asked if I wanted the crochet supplies and yarn that she has leftover in her house. She didn't want to take it to Florida with her. :-( Florida!!!!! ;_;
      Then she asked if I wanted a doll that she made. I use to admire it in her house. She made and painted it 20 years ago. It's of an older lady in her cooking apron. I can't show it to you because it's a dark color and there's not enough light in here so that you'd be able to see the detail of it...Maybe some other time.
      But when I opened the box to get the doll, I noticed that she had sent along a couple of other things too!!...One was this other hand-painted doll...Well, 'bear'-doll...

      I had to manipulate the lighting of this one on Picassa. I'm surprised that it lit up at all! I couldn't really see it when I took the picture! ^_^ I only saw an outline!! :-))
      This is what it looks like from the back...

      And the flexible feet are adorable!!!...

     She also gave me something else...Or should I say, gave me something back! I'll show that to you on another day too. It's something I made years ago. She wants me to have it back because she says she wouldn't need it in Florida...Frankly, I think it's more of a connection thing between the two of us. ;_; You'll know what I mean when I tell you the story...later.
      Hubby just brought me a coffee and a breakfast sandwich. So off I go...to eat! :-) Have a good day, Everybody!

A Little Dancing...And A Little Nibble! :-)

       Happy Saturday, Everybody! :-) ... Yes!...I'm up, and in a good mood! :-) That's because I'm still hearing music in my head from my 'virtual' date last night!! :-) ... We went to Texas...and did some line-dancing!!! ^_^
      Oh!...you don't know what line-dancing is?! O_O Okay...look at the video below...

      We had so much fun!!! :-) We listened to old songs we haven't heard in a long time, and 'boogied' like boogie-ing was going outta style!! LOL...Now I'm all smiles, and about to sing my way into a busy Saturday! ^_^

      Before I go off to start the day though, I wanted to show you how much more colorful the backyard has gotten 'over-night'!!!...

      Is that unbelievable, or what?!!! :-) And trust me, the photos are not doing the backyard scenery any justice!! It's just 'beauty' as far as the eye can scan! :-]

     Speaking of 'beauty'...I saw a beauty of a baking pan being talked about on one of my favorite television shows yesterday (The Chew)...Or, at least that's where I think I saw it! O_O My memory is kinda scanty these days! LOL
     Anyway!! :-)) ... It's called a Nibble Pan. It's a cake pan with a little silicone sidecar for baking a small amount of batter alongside the full cake! :-) ...

      What a great idea!!! :-) And why didn't I think of it years ago?!...I mean, I bake!....I eat cake!....I LOVE cake, in fact!! :-) ...I've even been known to 'nibble' while other people were baking cake!!! LOL
       The Kitchn(dot)com said: "...Having a mini cake would not only let you taste your creation before serving it to others, it would let you test out different frosting combinations, or provide a small treat to anyone in the house driven crazy by the scent of warm cake..."...

      Oh, the friends I could've saved from 'cake starvation'!!!! LOL...And for anybody wanting to know, the Nibble Pan is only $21.99!! I think you can order one on this site.

      Okay...I'm almost done, with my Happy Saturday self!! ^_^ But two more items I just have to share! :-) ...

      The watch was my clue to SKEDADDLE on outta here!!! LOL...Have a good rest of the day, Everybody!...and a good weekend too! :-)

Beauty in Days and Etsy!

     Yes, I know it's not morning everywhere! :-)) But the 'Good Morning' print was too cute to pass up. And...it's morning here! ^_^ And it's a beautiful morning too! The weather man says that it's gonna be only one of two 'beauties'...in the way of beautiful days.... because tomorrow is suppose to be beauty also!....I'll take it!! :-)
      We've been having off and on rain, 'spritzing', darkness, and fog...So, sunshine, low humidity, and temperatures in the low 80s is GREAT!! :-] I agree...beauty! :-)

     With the nicer weather has come less aching in my bones and muscles, more nectar in the hummingbird feeder, and sales picking up in my Wuglyees shop!! YAY!! It's gonna be a good anniversary for me this week!! :-) Before I take off to start enjoying it though, let me show you a couple of other beauties, and cuties, I found in my Etsy search this morning!...

       I LOVE those stones...the shapes and colors almost made me drool!.....What?!...Too much information?!....Okay, pretend you didn't read anything about drool! ^_^

     But right next to that 'beauty' was this one too! (below)...

  (Red Flower Statement Bib Necklace by KisspatFeather)

       Boy, does she know how to make a statement necklace, or what?!! :-)

       And then I spotted this cutie (below)...Meow! :-) ...

     All day long you can look down at your wrist and say: "Hello Kitty, what time is it?!" ^_^ What can I say...a mind with seven hours of good sleep, waking up to sunshine, and the forecast for a beautiful day, flips around in the brain and thinks like that!! LOL

      Moving on!!.....Here's another beauty I found!...

      It's almost too beautiful to eat out of, don't you think?! :-)

     And last of all, this cutie...

     I love compact leather pouches!...although mine wouldn't carry credit cards. I'm trying to stay out of debt like that!! ^_^ Mine would carry grocery store cards and stuff like that. In my mind it's not about what's in a thing...it's about the thing!! ^_^ ...unless we're talking about my stomach! Then it's about what's in a thing!!! ^_^
     Speaking of which.....breakfast is calling! :-) Have a good sunshiny day, Everybody!! :-) And if you don't get sunshine today, live i hope, like we were doing. LOL Sometimes hope springs forth good things...like beautiful mornings!! :-)
