All I Have To Talk About Today Is Candy And Flowers!

       You're gonna have to forgive me for this blog post today, Y'all!...Seriously!...I'm talking REAL SERIOUS forgiveness!! LOL...especially for those of you who haven't had your dinner yet, or who've had  your dinner, but didn't have any dessert! ^_^ Because there are lots of candy pictures in this post!...Sorry. O_O
      But I thought of YOU Blog Readers as soon as I saw the salt water taffy! ^_^ ...

       Well, 'YOU' in the 'I-have-to-blog-about-this' sense! LOL Yes, I know, it's kinda funny to have real live good-smelling taffy sitting right in front of my nose, and to be thinking of YOU!... Go ahead and laugh! ^_^ But, truth be told, I'm kinda proud of myself that when I saw the taffy I didn't think: "EAT IT!!!"...I just thought: "Oooooo! Blog-worthy!" ^_^

      And I thought that even though I haven't had salt water taffy in a long, long time! :-) Honestly, I wouldn't have the taffy now if one of hubby's clients didn't think that my hubby was really nice. :-) She gave it to him today as a gift, all wrapped up and tied with a ribbon and everything!...When he came home and handed it to me I thought "I" was the one that had been thought of, and was getting a gift. O_O Foiled again!!...A first-hand gift, with no occasion attached?!....nooooooo! LOL I got a second-hand gift with no occasion attached!! ^_^ Well, guess what?!...I still love it!! ♥
      The only thing missing was flowers!! :-)) And since hubby wasn't carrying any flowers today...*Teehee*...{I'm SURE...especially after mentioning it on this blog... ^_^...that I'm gonna be getting some flowers soon though!!...Besides, our anniversary is coming up next month! ^_^}... I found some fabulous flowers from some great shops on Etsy to share! :-) ...

      I have to admit right now that today's post is now completely different from what it was gonna be about an hour and a half ago. That's because while I was getting my post organized I was listening to the local news. That's where I heard the subject that now is today's post talked about!

      It was all about my sweeties!...Not the sweetie in the header photo. :-) ...Although the colors of her tu tu do remind me of my sweeties...No, I'm not talking about tu tus. I'm talking about my beloved CANDY!!...

        I just heard on the local news that they're talking about taxing candy!! O_O Well, they're actually talking about taxing cigarettes, soda pop, AND candy. The only one that concerned me was the candy!!! LOL...(All candy photos in this post are from the Etsy shop of the talented jojolarue!)

     I didn't hear too much of the details. I'm not sure if it's just a tax for Massachusetts or if it's an across states wide thing. I just know that I heard...tax......and candy! ^_^ My husband thought it was pretty funny. He said: "Ha! Ha! They sure know where to hit people, don't they?!!" :-))

      Yeah, he can think it's funny because neither one of us smoke, and we rarely, if ever, drink soda...And considering that he knows how much I watch our finances so that we don't waste money, he thinks it's a good thing that I won't be expecting him to shell out as much 'dough' for my M&Ms with almonds, and my boxes of Russell Stover's chocolates! LOL

      But I think it's gonna be a hardship on more than just me!...What are the candy lovers gonna do when they're 'jonesing' for some 'smarties'...

      And how could I pay a penny...plus tax...for my sweet 'hot balls', 'jolly ranchers', peanut bars, 'snickers', Almond Joys', Mounds' and Oh!...my sweet 'Tootsie rolls'?! O_O

      If I thought it would change the taxation of my sweeties, I'd probably try to wear candy! Then it would be considered as 'apparel'! ^_^ Although, here in Massachusetts apparel is still taxed, isn't it?! LOL...I'm not even sure. I'll have to look into that! ^_^

     It's kinda sad, but this isn't the first time I've thought of wearing candy! ^_^ What can I say...I love my sweeties!! LOL

     Yes, I'm being a little silly here. Because who am I kidding. Whatever price they put on it....me and my sweeties will not be parted...except in moderation terms!! ^_^

     I can see me and my sweeties running through fields of dandelions right now!! ^_^ ... with an occasional stop...to wipe my chin. LOL...Have a good day, Everybody! :-)

A snow storm on the way,
finding out you're hard in debt.
Somehow it's not so bad,
if you have melted chocolate!

Bad news everywhere,
want to throw your T.V. set.
Thankfully there is music
and some deep dark chocolate!

Doggie had an accident,
a long trip to the vet.
A waiting room with lots to read,
but you can nibble chocolate.

Grocery shopping too.
While you run in there to get
dinner for the evening
you can grab some chocolate!

Okay, you know what's coming.

If you are, just roll your eyes,
and sit and eat some chocolate!

Could These Be The Sleeping Pills I Needed?!

      I am in shock that it's the time the clock says it is!! I feel like Alice in Wonderland or something. Like I went down a rabbit hole into a world of sleeplessness...and all of a sudden I woke up into a world where I can't get enough of it!! LOL

      I'm not kidding!...Day before yesterday, just out of the blue, my mind said: "You're sleepy. You should take a nap."...It was 10:30 a.m. when it said that.....So I did! And I woke up at around 5:30 p.m. O_O I didn't get excited because I thought it was probably just a fluke after days and days...or weeks and weeks (I've kinda lost track!) of not sleeping!!

      Then yesterday my mind said: "I think you need another nap."...And just so you know, No! I'm not actually hearing voices! LOL It was just sort of a strong feeling that I translated into words...Anyway, I laid myself down. It turned into a four hour or so "nap"!

     I woke up in the early evening, still feeling like I could sleep some more...but I didn't dare allow myself to go back to sleep! If I did, I was sure that it would mean I'd be up all night again! O_O So, hubby and I got some things done, giggled our way through writing an update to our 'couples blog',...By the way, do you follow our blog?! If so, sorry it's so long between postings. We do it when the feeling hits us...If you wanna follow it, click --> HERE <--...Then we had a late dinner, took our vitamins and went to bed.

      It was now about 10:30 p.m. After a kiss goodnight, and a back and body rub...(hubby does this every night for me, to help my circulation and to relax my muscles)...hubby, as usual, went immediately off to dreamland. I laid there for a few minutes blinking and breathing into my C-Pap machine. LOL

      I turned the T.V. to the music channel, hummed some Stevie Nicks, and the next thing I knew.....it was 8 O'clock.....this morning!!!! I remember waking up around 2 O'clock, blinking a few times, and then resetting the timer for the music channel. One hour please! ^_^ I'm wide awake right now....behind time on doing my blog, but awake! Relaxed. Rested. Ready to go!! ^_^

      This sudden sleep bonanza has me wondering what I did differently to start getting all of this sleep. The answer?...Hubby bought me a large bag of M&Ms with almonds the other day, and I've been snacking on them all times of day and night...Could M&MS be the sleeping pill I've needed all this time!! LOL If so...well, alrighty then!! Point me to the candy aisle!! ^_^

       I know, I know! It's probably got nothing to do with the M&Ms....but I'm gonna stay stocked up with M&Ms with almonds anyway.....just in case! ^_^ ...Speaking of candy, I finally listed my candy holder slipper in my shop yesterday...HERE... and as an incentive to get somebody to buy it, I'm throwing in a large bag of fruity tootsie rolls (the ones shown in the photos). I Google searched yesterday to make sure I could send candy in the mail. ^_^ I can!!

      Now....just because I feel kinda guilty being all awake, and talking your heads off and everything, I'm gonna share a couple of Etsy finds to break up the monotony. ^_^ Enjoy!!

If It's Snow...You Need A Hat, Some Candy, And Some Music!

    No, this photo isn't of Massachusetts, but it sure could be today! We're actually getting a light snow flurry right now. So romantic looking....Yes, "I" said that! ^_^ Go figure...I'm missing snow! Who woulda 'thunk' it?!! LOL Not me, that's for sure!

     I didn't know I was missing snow until yesterday afternoon. While the sunshine was beating down on my backyard, I looked out the window and saw a light snow shower floating by, and thought: "Ooooo! Snow!!" Then I looked around to see who said that! ^_^ Imagine my surprise that...it was ME!! LOL

      Don't get all excited though, all you winter "white stuff" lovers! When I'm talking about me missing snow, I'm talking about the kind of snow that floats lightly from the sky and makes all sound disappear. Not the kind of snow that packs your grass and barbecue under a snow drift the size of Texas, where you have to pull out shovels and ice scrapers, snow blowers and salt to throw on the ground for grip!...Thinking about that kind of snow almost makes me sorry I said ANYTHING nice about the 'white stuff'! LOL

     From a purely financial perspective, snow "would" make people think about covering their heads...Covering their heads with hats...Maybe MY hats! ^_^ That would be a good thing! I've been making so many of them, but not selling any. Well...not yet anyway. Although I do have a hat on reserve for a customer right now. 

     But not selling them is not stopping me from making them!...This is my latest 'baby'!...

         My hubby loves these hats! Not necessarily the turquoise, but he's been trying to steal the black one and the red one! ^_^ I've held him off with the promise that I'll finally make him a new pair of fingerless gloves...I made the gray pair he's wearing now last year, or the year before (I can't remember).  They're looking pretty frazzled right about now, but he absolutely loves them! He says he's getting a lot of questions from guys that see him wearing his too, as to where he got them. He says I should make some and let him show them off for me! :-)

      Okay...Men's fingerless gloves,...not to mention water bottle holders, and toilet tissue covers....back on the list! :-) But for now, onward to the next hat! ^_^ I started it yesterday...

     I don't know if I'll finish it today though. My girlfriend is coming over to have breakfast and doctor on my 'silent' computer! The speakers came in....YAY!!! I may be boogieing before sunset! LOL

      Okay....what else?!....What else?!....Oh! Yeah! I found a couple of shops on Etsy I think you'll like. One has a fabulous watercolor painter! She's been on Etsy for a year without a sale!! If you look at her shop, with the cutest cards and paintings, you won't be able to believe it either!...This is one of her paintings...

That Something Different

I like things that are different.
Things that somehow catch my eye.
Things not quite 'Just The Same'.
Things that make me want to buy.

I can't put my finger on it
as to why they move me so.
They're not whimsical or gory;
And not lavish. This I know.

Sometimes it's just their color.
Other times it's how they're worn;
Or Sometimes it's just how beautifully
they're painted, sewn, or torn.

With 'Different' as the gauge,
it could be almost anything.
I guess that's why I keep on looking.
Hoping for that 'Different' zing.

When I find that 'Something Different',
I'll pay cash or click or dial;
Or I may just show it off;
(Like I just did) and sit and smile.
