Now, There's Chocolate....And Then There's CHOCOLATE!!!

      Sorry to be doing my blog post so much later today, but I got involved in another custom order and my mind was taken away...like 'Calgon'. ^_^ Do you remember that Calgon commercial?! :-) Well, short of the relaxing bubble bath, I've been mentally taken away by one thing or another all day! :-)

      It actually started after dinner last night! Hubby and I enjoyed some hot soup and started to hunt the kitchen for something sweet to top off the meal...but couldn't find ANYTHING! O_O So, we had to make something ourselves, from scratch!

      A few, cups of sugar, butter, and flour later...plus a couple of cups of chocolate chips! ^_^...and we had coconut chocolate chip cookies...or biscuits, as it turned out. :-))

      I tried to modify my peanut butter cookie dough recipe into a chocolate chip cookie recipe...because I figured that using the last of the coconut flakes I had in the fridge would be a good idea!...and ended up making the cookies a lot thicker than I intended! ^_^

      Don't get me wrong...I mean they still are chocolate chip cookies after all!! ^_^...they tasted great!!!...They just were thicker....more like a crunchy, gooey, biscuit than a crunchy, gooey cookie! ^_^ All in all......STILL FABU!!! :-)

      As I was putting cookie mounds on the cookie sheet to bake, I got a phone call with a request for something else that was chocolate..........a crocheted hat! ^_^ So I got right on that this morning!...
 

      Eat a little chocolate...*munch, munch, munch*...crochet a little chocolate! LOL Right up my alley on a cold day like today! :-)

Chocolate...Hat! :-)

      Sooooo...what's new with you?! ^_^ Clearly, there's not much new with me...except hat after hat after hat!! LOL And considering the week I had last week, hat after hat after hat sounds like a whopping good time!...TRUST ME!! ^_^
 

      My new schedule with the PCA (personal care assistant) is working great! I feel more organized and more productive these days. I was even able to go through my closet and gather all of my scarves and shawls for washing today! :-) I know. It doesn't sound like a big deal, but it was one of those things where I kept saying: "I have to do that!"...and somehow five years went by and it never got done!! :-))

     But now it's done! :-) ... And uhhhhh...who knew I had that many clothing accessories?!! O_O I could've started my own colorful shawl and scarf shop!! :-]

      My shawl and scarf shop will have to wait it's turn though. First I have to open up a button, shoe, old jewelry, and hat shop! LOL

      Speaking of hats... ^_^ ...This is the new chocolate brown hat I finished last night! :-) ...
 

      And, lo and behold, is that one of my buttons on the side?!.....Why yes it is!! :-)) Now only a million and a half buttons left to use!! ^_^ ...

      And yes...those are a pair of my earrings that Shequita is wearing! ^_^ She spent half of yesterday bald. I figured it was time for her to 'feel like a woman'!! LOL 

      This morning, early, I started another hat! ^_^ I'm making it with some Caron Simply Soft paints yarn. New to me!...

      I don't know how the hat will look in the end. I couldn't visualize it in a hat. I immediately 'could' see it in a scarf though!...So.....stay tuned! We'll all see it together! :-)))

      In the meantime...back to the hat-making business!! Go, Wuglyees!! :-) Have a good week, everybody!! ♥

I Need Chocolate!!!

      I haven't been up very long, but I can already tell that I'm gonna need some chocolate to get me through the day!...Not a lot of it! But...yeah...some!! Maybe a bit of dark chocolate...or a 'Mounds' bar....or a large 'Tootsie Roll'...or something!

      Why do I say this?!...Because my mind is kinda scattery. A familiar...hormonal...kind of scattery. The kind of scattery where I'm sitting here looking at the morning news, waiting for hubby to come and kiss me goodbye before he's off to work.....And then I remember that...Oh!...O_O...He did kiss me goodbye!...almost two hours ago!!...*blink, blink!* O_O

      PLEASE tell me that I'm not the only woman in the world that has ever started to get dressed, and then realized that some water was left running in the sink...when you went to check and see if your shoes would actually match what you were about to put on! O_O ... Yeah!...One of those kind of days!!...Ugh!

      And the fact that our weather started this morning at 'minus three', and isn't gonna get close to 'plus forty' for the rest of the day, doesn't help!!...Maybe that's what's wrong with my brain. Maybe it's the barometric pressure! ^_^

      Anyway!...I'm looking for love today!...and chocolate!! ^_^

If Chocolate Chip Cookies Were Hiding....?!

        I love the idea of having a chocolate chip cookie kind of day! :-) That's gotta be a good day, right?! :-) Well...I'll let you know! I'm gonna try to have a chocolate chip cookie kind of day today...because I need to!...because it's raining A-G-A-I-N! And it's gonna be raining all day today...into tomorrow's 'virtual date day'! Or so they say...*sigh*...WHERE ARE THE CHOCOLATE CHIPS?!!!...*looking...looking....looking. O_O*

       Unfortunately, I don't have any chocolate chips in my stash! :-0 I have a few cheetoes and a couple of 'Nutty Bars', but no chocolate chip cookies...*WAH WAH WAAAAAAAAAH!!*...Oh Well, I'll have to make do. :-( 

      How do I have a chocolate chip kind of day without chocolate chips?!...Hmmmm....maybe I can take some time and 'put all of my ducks in a row'... or maybe my chicks! ^_^...

Sweeties!...How Am I Gonna Wean Myself?!

      I have to admit right now that today's post is now completely different from what it was gonna be about an hour and a half ago. That's because while I was getting my post organized I was listening to the local news. That's where I heard the subject that now is today's post talked about!

      It was all about my sweeties!...Not the sweetie in the header photo. :-) ...Although the colors of her tu tu do remind me of my sweeties...No, I'm not talking about tu tus. I'm talking about my beloved CANDY!!...

        I just heard on the local news that they're talking about taxing candy!! O_O Well, they're actually talking about taxing cigarettes, soda pop, AND candy. The only one that concerned me was the candy!!! LOL...(All candy photos in this post are from the Etsy shop of the talented jojolarue!)

     I didn't hear too much of the details. I'm not sure if it's just a tax for Massachusetts or if it's an across states wide thing. I just know that I heard...tax......and candy! ^_^ My husband thought it was pretty funny. He said: "Ha! Ha! They sure know where to hit people, don't they?!!" :-))

      Yeah, he can think it's funny because neither one of us smoke, and we rarely, if ever, drink soda...And considering that he knows how much I watch our finances so that we don't waste money, he thinks it's a good thing that I won't be expecting him to shell out as much 'dough' for my M&Ms with almonds, and my boxes of Russell Stover's chocolates! LOL

      But I think it's gonna be a hardship on more than just me!...What are the candy lovers gonna do when they're 'jonesing' for some 'smarties'...

You Ever Get A Craving.....?!

       I went to bed really early last night. Partly because I was just so tired that I couldn't keep my eyes open...sorry 'Dancing With The Stars'..., and partly because I was feeling that uncontrollable hunger bug coming on...the one that says: "Eat everything!....Eat everything in sight...and then you'll feel better!!! I promise!!" ^_^ 

       Now, I don't know how many of you who are in the same 'stage of life' that I'm in right now would admit it, but my eating habits have become as wacky as my hormone cycle!! O_0 Just like I don't know whether I'm gonna wake up with my skin so dry that you can see the desert winds blowing off of it, or be so wet that I could drown by putting my face in my pillow, I also don't know whether I'll be 'squinching' my nose up at every single piece of food I see, or trying to suck the crumbs out of the corner of the saltine cracker box!...not that I've ever done that!! LOL

       And for some crazy reason too last night, I was craving a big hot cup of coffee! I mean CRAVING y'all!! Couldn't get it off of my mind! O_0 And guess what?!...I woke up with the same craving!! What's up with the coffee craving?!!!

     It's a crazy wild ride, this 'going-through-the-CHANGE' thing!!...I mean, I seldom drink coffee. I'm usually strictly a green tea girl. But this morning I have to have some coffee...have to!...*shaking my head*...Does this ever happen to any of you?!

       Yes, I 'do' have cravings, and sometimes I have them regularly...And yes, sometimes I give in to them!...{WARNING: If you haven't had breakfast yet,...or you're on a diet and you've been a good girl all day,...the next few photos may unduly tempt you to go into the kitchen and bend over with your head in the refrigerator, wearing a puzzled 'let-me-see-what's-in-here' look on your face, or have you running for your slide-on slippers, the car keys, and a quick look in the mirror to see if you look bad enough to make kids in the rolling shopping carts at the grocery store scream! LOL}...not that I've ever done any of that!! ^_^

       My cravings usually have something to do with chocolate!...Ben & Jerry's New York Super Fudge Chunk ice cream is at the top of the chocolate list!

       I love that it can fill all of my immediate cravings right there in one container. You know, nuts, chocolate, and ice cream...YUM! chocolate ice cream! :-)...I still have a 'bone to pick' with Ben & Jerry's though...because of sending my Coconut Almond Fudge ice cream to the flavour graveyard!! LOL But whatever, because my stomach...thanks to the 'change' hormones...isn't handling milk products with the nice 'air' of ease it used to...if you know what I mean!! ;-)

      Moving on.....You would think that since my hubby works for the company that makes these...

       ...I'd be craving cupcakes and Twinkees all the time, but you'd be WRONG!.....Waaaay wrong!! {Although I have been known to request a box of Drake's 'Funny Bones' every once in a while! :-] (His company owns Drake's now) They kinda look like 'Twinkees', but they're peanut butter filled Devil's food cake!!...*drooling*}

     My snack carbo load of choice, though, is usually these...

     ... Chips Ahoy chocolate chip cookies! And if I can get my hands on the ones with the nuts...all the better!! :-)....If it wasn't sacrilegious and wrong, I'd have a moment of silence for these cookies right now!...But that would be wrong! And I'm all about being right!!

     RIGHT is my love for these 'babies'.....!

        ... Russell Stover Chewy, Nutty, Crunchy chocolates!!...Ohhhh! I have gotten through a lot of midnight old movies, babies being born, friends in chaos, a cold or hot flash or two, and everything else in between with the help of these! :-)

      But this morning, none of those things are holding a candle to my craving for a nice hot cup of coffee!  And I want it in a big hefty coffee mug too. Not a small china cup! Something like this baked clay coffee mug by Goodvibestore...

         Something big enough for the coffee fumes to rise up and almost give me a facial! Ha! Ha!.....Oh yeah, I'll have to leave my cup of tea to another day!..Or wear something in memory of it...
