Is It Too Early In The Morning To Talk?!

      It probably is. Too early to talk, I mean. But.....yep! I'm gonna do it anyway! ^_^ But nothing major. I just missed yesterday's post and I'm feeling 'missed day yappy'! LOL Bare with me.

      Look in the photos and say 'Hello!' to my latest hat! ^_^ It's the same pattern as the last few flip-up hats I've done, but I did this one with a new yarn. A new yarn 'for me', that is. I never used 'Caron Simply Soft Paints' version yarn. This particular color, peacock feather, is my favorite so far...Of course it's the other one I've used so far, so that could be why! ^_^

      It has hints of blue, green, and purple in it. Like a peacock...DUH! LOL...And yes, I know that the blue is showing most in my photos! ^_^ Shall I say it again?...I am a crocheter. NOT a photographer!! LOL

      I made the flip up part a little different this time. I crocheted a button hole into the brim, and put two buttons, one over the other, onto the side of the hat. It was an experiment to see if the flip works at two different angles...And it does! :-)

      This yarn seems more 'springy' than the regular Simply Soft yarn I use though. It makes the flip of the hat not want to flip. It wants to 'roll'! :-))
 

      Whatever! ^_^ It's still very soft, and looks as cute as can be! I know a few friends who would 'love' this little 'head-covering' for their field service bags!! ^_^

      I have other random stuff to talk about though...like, have you ever tried potato soup with cheddar cheese and crunched up potato chips on the top?!....No?! O_O Well, I'm not surprised!! :-)) I made it up for myself the other day when nothing else would stay down in my stomach! ^_^ It was a potato soup sipping good time!! LOL...But now I'm craving it like a woman with a 'crack' habit or something!! ^_^ (And before you ask, NO! I never have had a 'crack' habit! :-)) I have had random relationships with 'crack' users though!....DON'T ASK!!...So I know from whence I speak!! LOL)

      My husband paid me a nice complement this morning...or at least I 'think' it was a complement. O_O He said that the world inside my head was 'fun and whimsical' at times, and he enjoys my writing!...I was flattered and thankful he didn't ask me what I thought about the world inside 'his' head!! LOL That's a whole roller coaster ride going on inside that head!! ^_^ Good thing I love roller coasters!

       The last thing I wanna talk about this morning is the 'love' project I'm working on in between making hats! And I almost teared up just typing that!! O_O The reason is because what I'm doing is finishing some projects that my dear friend sent to me before she passed away.
      There are a couple of afghans with finished blocks needing to be sewn on, and a knitted sweater that needs a zipper attached. Or, at least, that's what 'I' think it needs. She didn't give me any instructions on how to finish anything, but she knew that I would step right into her love of crafting, and finish what she had started. ;'_'; And I will too!!
      Yesterday I sewed the last crochet strip of this afghan on, and also sewed in all of the loose threads...

      It's off-white, with navy blue sections. The navy blue also had flecks of red and other colors in it too. SOFT!!...and FINISHED! :-] I'm not gonna sell it. It's the kind of afghan you give to someone you love.....I'm gonna really have to love the person I give it to! My Nancy's heart is in it!! ♥

      I was gonna try to finish this afghan too!...

      ...but her and I had completely different crocheting styles...
 

      ...and you'd be able to see where her afghan stopped and mine began! O_O ...
 

      I didn't want that!...so I decided to just sew the remaining blocks she left together, and crochet a border around them...

      Now I have to decide whether to put tassels on it and have it be a scarf, or use it as a small table runner, or....or.....I don't know what. O_O I'm open to ideas if you have any.
 

      In the meantime, I have a couple bags of her yarn to turn into something too! And there's all kinds of colors! :-) I'm sure there's some 'wuglyee' things in there somewhere!! :-) ... Okay. Time to go hunt up some breakfast...And yes, I did just think about the soup again!! LOL I wonder if there's a potato soup, cheese and potato chip hot line I can call?! Up With The Chickens...And Ready To THINK????!!!!!

     I was 'up with the chickens' this morning. And not for a bad reason this time! :-) I decided to go to bed earlier than usual last night...or should I just admit that I was trying to watch "The Voice"...and it started, at some point, to watch me instead! ^_^ Next thing I know it was morning! ^_^ 

     Now I'm all rested, and wide-eyed, clear-brained....with my typical melody roaming around in my head:-) .....and hungry! And seeing as it was waaaaay too early to be thinking about breakfast...I just popped a piece of 'Russell Stover' chocolate in my mouth. You know...one of those random pieces of candy I had laying around. ^_^

     Anyway!...Now that I'm up, let me show you what I found!...

      How cute is this candle!! It looks exactly like a bee hive! :-) And the description says that it's made with pure beeswax that's been rubbed with sweet annie blossoms or spice blend!...So, not only does it 'look' cute...it probably 'smells' good too! ^_^

     And for those times when you're not sure what day it is...and there could be all kinds of good reasons for that! O_O...*That's my story, and I'm sticking to it!!*...this little calendar would be great to have sitting directly in front of you!...at all times!! LOL

     And for some reason I've really been attracted to owls and pincushions lately! The owls....okay. Who 'isn't' attracted to owls?! ^_^ But the pincushions?!....I don't know. I know it's not because I like to sew!....YUCK!...Maybe it's the cute designs and the COLORS! :-) ...

     Otherwise this morning...I got nothing!! LOL....Wait! Yes I do!...I can tell you that my wedding set, the first one anyway, will be all done as of today! :-) I've already made a wedding brooch for the bride, three bridesmaids' brooches, a little brooch for the flower girl, a grooms boutonniere, and a little lapel pin for the ring bearer! 

     Today I have to make three boutonnieres for the groomsmen and I'm done! :-) Well, maybe!...I'm still considering whether to add a couple of brooch flowers for the mothers of the bride and groom...What do you think?!....And if you think I should, what do you think those brooch flowers should look like?!...Bigger than the bride's?!...Completely one color?!...O_O Decisions! Decisions!

     This 'getting up early' thing is kinda tough on the thinking brain cells!! LOL...Have a good day, Everybody! :-)

Take A Flying Leap!!

         Okay...so you know that we get an extra day in the year every four years...leap year...right?!...Well, this is the year! So we get an extra day this year...and that day is TODAY!...Whoop-ti-do!! :-)) ...I mean, did we really need an extra day to let gas prices go up?...Or to have to wait for Spring to finally get here?!...Which, thanks to 'Mr. Show-Up-When-It-Wants-To SNOW', it's REALLY gonna have to wait!!...We're due to have a 'substantial' snow storm starting today! :-( They're saying 1-3 inches by tonight, and it's suppose to snow into tomorrow evening!! We may get 6-8 inches!!! O_0

        Why couldn't 'the white stuff' take a flying leap.....right OVER us?!! LOL...I was looking forward to one of the Spring months officially being here. I mean...it's been sorta kinda feeling like Spring for a while now!

       Did any of you see 'American Idol' last night?!...I haven't been watching it the last few years, since Paula and Simon left. I didn't think it would be the same show anymore, so I didn't even give the new people a chance. I'm loyal like that!....or stupid like that! LOL I guess it all depends on how you look at it! ^_^ 

       Anyway...when I was fishing through my recorded shows on t.v. a couple of weeks ago, looking for something fun to look at...something maybe with music...and I couldn't find anything else.....{I had seen all of "The Voice" show recordings....LOVE IT!!!!}...I decided to peep and see whether there was any new singers worth listening to on 'American Idol'. I mean....I was crocheting...and I had ears....and I wasn't doing anything else! LOL

     I saw the 'back story' for some of the kids that were trying out and I was HOOKED!!! :-]  Has the talent been this great the whole time?!...These people are true singers!!!...Me and hubby watched the show last night...(something we haven't done for a while...watching a show at night! He usually has to be in the bed by 8 p.m. or so, so he can get up at 2:30a.m. for work!)...and it was sooooo good! ^_^ 

       Every one of them was "On"!! They were prepared, ready to perform, and their voices were just soooo beautiful!....Oh! I love music!!!!...

Greener...Calmer...Wider...Won't Harm Her!

       I've got some things going on in my personal life right now that I'm not gonna bore you with. And...trust me!...you don't wanna hear me complaining about it anyway! I'm leaving that duty up to my firm shouldered, wide-open eared hubby! :-)) He signed up for this job almost 35 years ago! ^_^ Although I'm not sure he knew back then how much listening...and at what decibel..the job entailed! LOL

      I think at this point hubby is just glad he's not the object of my frustration! ^_^ In fact, he's pretty upset about the situation himself!...But to the person who 'is' the object of our frustration....Uhhh....be thankful we're trying to make ourselves cool down through quiet and prayer...'on a regular'...before you have to hear about it!!...Although I suspect you already KNOW how angry you've made us! Grrrr!

     Anyway!!!!!...I'm thankful to have the calming green of Cindy's new treasury to look at. (In the header photo) And I was also thankful to have one of my headbands included in it! :-) The olive green one with the multicolored button flower...

           I loved both of these yarns so much!...And I don't have anymore of either. I did make another flower from the remaining multicolor yarn, but I haven't decided what headband to put it on yet...or whether to sell it as just a brooch. Decisions...decisions!

      In fact, I've got a lot of upcoming decisions to make about my shop!...Prices, merchandise, arrangement issues, TEAMS!...*shaking my head*...A few people are requesting that I join their teams...*sigh*...I haven't had a good track record with being a good 'team' member. 

     They kinda want me to promote just 'team members'....I kinda wanna promote who I wanna! LOL It always ends up that the team works more for them than for me! I LOVE to promote for other people, but the kind of promotion I need doesn't get a priority!...I need for some of the people who do the craft shows to do a profit/share situation with me...since I physically can't sit at shows in person. 

     I need someone to take my items, sell them, and send me the check for my part!! LOL I'll do the online promotion and send you supplies...I'm a crocheting fool, so supplies is right up my alley! ^_^ Anybody with a 'TEAM' like this that can help me?! 'Hit up my email', will ya!

     As I was saying, before I got diverted off into 'Delusion-ville',  I'm thankful to have the calming green of Cindy's new treasury to look at. Here's a few of the items from it, up close...

         Before I head off to work some more on my latest scarf, let me show you what it's looking like so far...

          It's really soft...It's really colorful (red, gray, black and yellow)...and it's really wide! Seven inches (17.8 cm) I don't usually make my scarves this wide, but when I started out I was aiming at six inches...and I over-shot the mark a little bit. ^_^ Rather than taking it all a loose and starting over, I just decided that there must be a 'few' people in this world that like wider scarves! LOL 

      Now, if I can only find me a team member that wants to find those wide scarf lovers...and show it to them for me!! :-] ... I'll try!!...Have a good day everybody! And remember...only two more days until the Giveaway drawing! Get your 'Enter Me' in!!

Wuglyees' Flowers and The Poetesswug's Yoyos Too!!

      Okay, today I just have some 'clean up stuff' to talk about. I call it "clean up stuff" because it's just things I should have talked about before now, but have just been putting them off...like people put off cleaning. :-] They've just been sitting around, waiting to get put in their proper place.
     Like the fact that LittleMadamtutu put my Red Earth Flower Dangle Necklace (the one in the header photo) in her new Treasury on Etsy a while back. It was entitled My Mommy Loves Red.

     Sorry it took me so long to get around to sharing it. It's a beautiful Treasury!!
    That's also true with the Treasury entitled Only One.... that lolos curated!

        It's beautiful too! And I'm really thankful that she added my Blue On Blue Crochet Button Flower Necklace to it!

     That wasn't very nice of me, not taking care of the thank yous for those Treasuries right away. But I hope that these ladies forgive me. I really do appreciate the attention they're giving to my SLOW AS MOLASSES Wuglyees shop!...I've had my head going in circles!! :-)

     Yoyo circles I mean!! LOL... The above picture shows that 6 sets of the ultimately 10 sets that I had to do were now done!

     And then 7 sets were done!!

     And, Yeah, you can guess where I'm going now, can't you?!....8 sets were done!!!

      These were the 9th set!!!!...And this morning I'll be finishing the last set! I've only made a couple of them so far. I have to make 5. They look like this...

       PHEW!!! NO-MORE-WIRE......wait a minute!! I got lost there for a moment! ^_^ 
     I'm actually kind of excited that I'll be able to start the main part of the bag today...although what color that'll be is still not 'set in stone'! LOL I need....

    ....HELP!!! 
    Please give me some suggestions on whether the full bag should be red, green, purple, white, or brown. I know it'll look great in red, because I saw Alittlesprite's bag in that color. 
      But what color would you want to have it in, if it were going to be yours?! {As an extra thank you for your help, every suggestion of a color today will also get you an extra entry in my blanket GIVEAWAY! :-)}
    Okay, an older poem and then back to my circles! (By the way, I sat there with my camera this morning, waiting for Mr. Hummingbird, and he was a no-show!! The nerve! The first time I'm actually ready for him!! LOL) Have a good day everybody!
