      Before I head off into 'word world', let me give you an update on my head cold....uhhhhh...it's still here. ^_^ The good news though?...It's getting better! YAY!...Something you don't know about me is that I had pneumonia once, years ago, so every time I start getting a bad cold that produces too much mucous...*Sorry. Mucous is a terrible word, I know!, but it had to be said! LOL*...I start getting worried that my small tubes are gonna get clogged up, dry up, cause an infection, and I'll get pneumonia all over again.......and DIE!!! O_O ...Oooo!...That sounded kinda dramatic!........Forget I said it. :-))

       Moving on!! ^_^ ... Did you see those gorgeous rings in the header photo?!...I LOVE them!!...Something you probably don't know about me is that my husband bought me a wedding ring with a pretty design on it...and a separate 1/4 carat engagement ring...On our 20th anniversary he bought me another engagement ring to replace my original...this time over 3 carats!...but I refused to let him replace my wedding band!! I LOVE it!! :-) It reminds me that he had good taste over 30 years ago, in rings, and in wives! ^_^

      I love the butterflies! :-) ... Something you don't know about me is that my little 'baby girl' (my friend's daughter) gave me a H-U-G-E wire butterfly years ago. It was about 3 feet tall and wide, at least, and it had rolled wire everywhere. Even the boning of the wings had wire in them...so that you could shape it in different positions.

      I wrapped the wire butterfly around the second floor apartment's balcony, where we lived at the time, and the butterfly hung there, welcoming people to our complex. ^_^ We got so many complements on how it made people smile on their way to and from work. It made us feel great!!...When the weather beat it to a pulp, and I couldn't find another one anywhere...*my 'baby girl' had found it at an out-of-the-way place*...the neighbor's would come by and ask what happened to it!! :-) ... I'm still on the look-out for another large wire butterfly! ^_^

      Now, I know you all know I don't own a dog...right now! But I love dogs...and dog clocks!...

       What you may not know is that hubby and I also LOVE Bengal tigers!...and we have Bengal tiger paraphernalia all over the house! ^_^ Calendars, art, framed post cards, a giant blown-up and framed photo of a Bengal tiger at the zoo, etc...We think they look like us! LOL

      On a whole 'nother species note: I also love my birds! I watch them every day out my window! :-) But what you don't know is that every since I heard about the 'bird flu' I have been a squeamish nut about hubby filling the feeder for the birds!...I make him put on gloves before he touches the feeder, and I watch him like a hawk...no bird pun intended. ^_^...to make sure he doesn't touch anything inside the house with his infected bird feeder hands!!! LOL

      And STILL I got a bad cold!! LOL Go figure!!...Clearly I'm delusional about keeping myself healthy!!...Oh Well! ^_^ Speaking of which, I spent last night with severe pains in my stomach, and throwing up!!...UGH! No, it didn't have anything to do with my head cold...I think I ate something that might've given me food poisoning!!...Sad!...Even with a finicky sometimes 'Howard Hughes' type, like myself.....THEY STILL GET ME, them germs!!! LOL 

      Painless, and with a slightly squeamish stomach this morning, I was thankful just to watch the birds eat!!...I'm 'tea and crackering it' for a bit! ^_^

      You already know I love flowers and buttons! But what you may not know is that I have some flowery buttons that I've been saving for special projects for my shop...BUT every time I start the special projects...I can't bring myself to put the buttons on them! LOL I convince myself that I have a rare button...sorta like that million dollar rare stamp that somebody found on an old letter!...and I can't part with them. "NO!! I could be throwing away my fortune!!" LOL

       

      Okay Y'all, I'm clearly back to my talkative self, right?!....Well, what you don't know is that I'm really good at talking, but not good at faking. I feel AWFUL!!!...Back to bed for me!!...But I want you to have a good day!!!! ♥

Amazing How The Time Flies, Huh?!

      Can you believe that it's already the middle of August, with September, and Fall, and the changing of the leaves, right around the corner?! O_O I can hardly believe it!...Where is the time going so fast, huh?!

      I have to say though, that I think the sky is looking pretty amazing! I don't know exactly how to explain it...the sky I mean. But it has a sorta 'Ahhhhh!' feel to it. It's giving me the hankering for some hot apple cider and a fireplace to sip it in front of! ^_^

       On the bad side...sorta...I'm seeing only one lone hummingbird at the feeder now. Pretty soon he'll be gone too. :-( But, as I said, it's only 'sorta' bad...because no hummingbird feeder means winter bird suet balls! ^_^ Winter bird suet balls that don't have to be changed as often as hummingbird nectar feeders too, I might add! :-)

       All useful...all cute....all created by amazing Etsians! :-) 

      Other than these things there's not much going on around here...except for the good news that my father apparently doesn't have diabetes...YAY!! But he may have a serious eye issue....Boooo! He's suppose to call the eye doctor soon. I'm working on trying to get him to do it...uhhhh...TODAY!! But he has no desire to be poked at right now...and considering my own experiences with doctors...I understand!!!!

      Plus he's in a kind of a sad mood right now because he just lost another family member. :-( The family member took a turn for the worst and was on life support in the hospital. The family was planning to go over to say goodbye to him after his going into a coma, and the doctor saying that he was gone. Not breathing on his own. Brain dead. 

      The family decided to pull the plug, and they were going over to the hospital to witness the taking of his life support away. :-( But the family member died early in the morning. :-( ...I feel bad for my father. His family has had a lot of deaths lately. On the phone last night he and I had a conversation about how living a long life is a blessing in this day and age, but it can also be a bad thing...because you live long enough to see everyone you love pass away! :-(

    I'm thankful for my faith and my hope of everlasting life in perfect health!...Yeah, I know it's not everybody's belief, but I'm a Bible person. And I know that God wouldn't lie to me about something as serious as that!!...Frankly, I don't know how people get through the hard times of this life without hope of the better to come. If all I had to look forward to was more of the same thing I have now.....O_O....YIKES!!

Chocolate Mint For Breakfast...Just What The Doctor Ordered!

         I know it's kinda early in the morning...at least it is here!...to be talking about chocolate and mint, but I needed something to focus on that wasn't about being poked and prodded, pushed and stared at...by the doctor! O_O

      Yep! I've got a doctor's appointment today...*gulp!*...I really HATE the doctor!!...Well, not just THIS doctor...ANY doctor!...I can't wait until hospitals, medication, tests, and doctors become obsolete and a thing of our distant past!...But in the meantime...thanks to Mary Sclafani...I've got Chocolate Mint! :-)

       Okay....so it's a treasury, and not actually something eatable. But, that's actually a good thing today.  That means that it's not fattening, and not something the doctor can chastise me about! :-) ... Although I'm sure he'll find something! LOL

       Now, when the doctor is asking me all those probing personal questions, I can let my mind wander off into a pretend chocolate mint world...a little. :-] He won't have any idea that when he's asking me: "When was the last time you....?" I'll be thinking: "The last time I had a mint chocolate ice cream sundae was......!" ^_^

        In other news: hubby found out that we had eight messages on our voice mail...since March 3rd or something!...that neither one of us knew were there! And once we did know they were there...we didn't know how to retrieve them! LOL

      We had to call the phone company, get a new password, and then figure out how to call the number so we could figure out how to use the new password so we could listen to the messages!.....Aargh!...Old People!! LOL 

      Most of the messages were people who had called that number, but when we didn't respond, they had called our other number. :-) ... All of them except one, that is...*gulp!*...It was someone who had heard about hubby's being let go from his job and who wanted to offer him either a part time or a full time job!!!! :-/ ...The message was left in the middle of March...over two, or now, three weeks ago! :-( ...Hubby is gonna call them first thing this morning and apologize that he didn't call sooner. And then see what the job entails and if it's a good fit for us.

       He also has his unemployment appeal hearing this week...*another gulp!*...We're praying something great comes out of one of these things...the job offer or the hearing. I'll let you know!...You know I will! ^_^

        Okay, off to relax, take some deep breaths, and pretty myself up for the doctor! Have a good day, Everybody! :-)
