"Smile, Honey! You're Gonna Be On My Blog!!"

     As I mentioned yesterday, I finished hubby's crochet hat! ^_^ He picked out the colors, and the buttons for the side of it! :-) And he loves it! ... I'm missing the brown still, but WHATEVER!! LOL I think it's a pretty cool Fall/Autumn colored hat! :-) 
      Unfortunately, the moment that I picked for taking photos of hubby in the hat didn't fit in with the moment hubby 'wanted' to take photos of the hat! ^_^ He was on his way somewhere, to do something else, and I insisted vehemently insisted...coerced...wrangled...badgered...requested that he let me take a few shots of his new hat first! ^_^

     I told him: "People are gonna think you don't like the hat, Honey!...SMILE!!" ... The above photo was as close as he could muster at the time! LOL
 

      Oh Well!...I wasn't really after a smile yesterday anyway. I was after some good shots of the hat! :-)) And I got 'em!!! ^_^ ... I'll have to get my smile today!! ^_^

      He's already in a better mood this morning!...It might be the fact that he's looking at my pre-washed hair flying all over my head! :-)) At the moment I look like a 1970's afro-wearing, back-up singer for 'The Supremes' or something!!...but my afro is waaaaay bigger!! LOL...And, even though hubby tried to take photos of my head today.......Uhhhhhhh......NO!!!!!!.....You will not be seeing that smile-worthy moment on this blog!! LOL Hubby's smile is much bigger today though!! ^_^

there is nothing else to do!

       I had quite a weekend!...of which I slept through most of. ^_^ It's a good thing I have hubby here today to help me take care of and put things back to their rightful place. Otherwise there's no telling what my house would look like!! ^_^ He's a 'good egg'! ♥

      What did I do for the weekend, you ask?!...Well, football...sleeping...eating...giggling with friends...surprises (not in a good way)...brain lags (LOTS of them! ^_^)...more football...a couple of old movies...and taking sand out of my 'virtual' shoes after a trip to the canary islands! ^_^ And did I already say 'Football'!!! LOL

       Ahead for today?!...Trying to finish my talk for the meeting later this week...more grocery shopping...crocheting (I have to re-make 3 lapel pins that sold overnight)...a hair washing...and some other odds and ends....Oh Yeah!.....and getting prepared for this week's cold, snow (maybe), wind, and rain!! O_O...

      Yes, winter is trying to let us know that it's coming!...although it's still not that bad considering the time of year it is, and considering that the states to the south seem to be getting worse weather than us!!...What's that all about?! O_O Although, don't get me wrong, I'm certainly not complaining!!!

      By the way, some really great things happened over the weekend too! Like, for instance, my dad finished his bathroom remodel...including shower tiling, and painting! :-) I have pictures, but I didn't ask if I could share, so I won't. But trust me, it came out beautiful!! :-) ... And hubby made pork chops! :-) YUM!

All The Things I Love

If I listed all the things I've loved
I could rattle on forever!
Whether by 'order of importance'
or by a poetically quick endeavor.

Right now it's Tennis...Well, all sports,
and reading informative magazines.
And crocheting, food and music.
Well..that might be in my genes!

I've loved teaching and line dancing,
So many things in my short life.
But I've never jumped from a plane,
or whittled anything with a knife!

With every passing moon
I find some other thing that I love.
Whether grassy patterns on my lawn,
or phenomenal skies above.

Yes, if I listed all the things I loved
my words could fill all space,
It comes from curiosity,
and an Ooo-ing Awww-ing place!

Reasons Why My Hubby Might Be Looking Like This?!

      Oh Yeah...I've seen this look before!...many times! But what do 'YOU' think my hubby is looking this way for now?!...Don't break your 'thinker'. ^_^ I'll tell you in a minute. 
         But for the sake of having something silly to talk about, let's pretend that I don't know why he's looking like that, and discuss some possibilities as to why. :-) ...Could it be that he just got through looking at the news on television, with endless talking about the government shutdown, and the report of yet another ship disaster with over 60 some odd people dead, has totally 'wore him out'?!! O_O
          No. That's not it....Although.....news.....AARGH!!!!!!

     Could it be that he just cannot believe how far I went to find information about his 'creepy crawly' thing?!...
 

     Oh yes I did!! :-) ... Especially after Cindy...Thanks Cindy!! :-)) ...said that the little 'spikey things' on him could hurt you if you touched them! O_O
        I went on the Google search of the century...like a crazy person!! :-)) And I found out stuff too!!...I found out that it has a real name...other than 'creepy crawly' I mean. ^_^ It's a  SPOTTED TUSSOCK MOTH (technical name = Lophocampa maculata, larva). :-) ... And Yaya, while it is in the family of the "woolly bear" caterpillar, they're not exactly the same.
        I also found out the it eats the kind of trees we have here in the backyard. And that he probably was on the ground, and out of the trees, because he was looking for somewhere to 'pupate'! O_O ... And when he changes, what will this caterpillar moth look like?!...

       Amazing, right?!...He's all fuzzy and spotted, and has those attention getting spikey lashes, now. But when he changes he'll be...'PLAIN'!...Almost colorless and not noticeable! O_O Sorta like women getting ready to go out on a 'virtual' date...but in reverse!! LOL...And just as a point of clarification, my lashes do not end up spikey, and will not hurt you if you touch them....promise!!! ^_^

      Okay...back to why hubby is looking like that. :-) Did he fall asleep waiting for me to play Scrabble with him...because I was trying to finish up my new 3 crochet flowers set for my Wuglyees shop?!...

      ...I had to finish a 3-layer brooch, a boutonniere, and a tiny lapel pin...
 

       I put a different backing on each, so that the customer can choose which one they want, and give two away if they want to! :-)

     The answer...again...is NO! :-)) Usually when I'm crocheting he's somewhere else doing whatever hubbies do to avoid staring at their wives crocheting! LOL
        The reason hubby is looking like that is simply because he was tired!...We got a phone call in the middle of the night...a phone call that frankly I slept through, and he didn't wanna wake me up to tell me! But when I woke up in the middle of the night for 'other reasons' ^_^ he told me the bad news with the phone call. :-(
        We ended up talking for quite a while...into the morning in fact. And then, as things go, our day was full of errands and 'to do' things that just had to get done NOW!...including him getting a hair cut...So, when I started a random 'rambling' conversation about something or other...like we usually do...he was saying: "Uh huh.....Uh huh.....Yeah......Uh huh". But when I looked up...the photo shows the rest of the story. ^_^
     Thankfully we got a bit more sleep last night, so let's see what today will bring, shall we?! ^_^ Have a good day, Everybody! :-)
