Even My 'Welcome' Mat Wants To Retract The Invitation!

     Yes...that is my 'welcome' mat out in front of the door. But, as you can see, it's not welcoming nobody!!...especially not the snow!! LOL We have an overhang too, so the snow on the mat is what blew on it from the yard!
     Yeah...we have wind blowing too!...and sleet, rain, and....birdies! ^_^ ...

      Watching the woodpeckers, cardinals, and other little birds coming to the feeder during the day, braving the falling snow and wind, made my heart warm. :-] ... And we needed some warm yesterday!!!
     So far, we have about 10 or so inches, with 2-6 more due this morning before it's all over...

     Too bad snow isn't trade-able, like money! ^_^ If it was I'd probably have enough to buy me a house in Hawaii or somewhere by now!! LOL...

     Even the little backdoor grill is saying: "Where, O where, is Spring?!" O_O ...
 

     In the heart of the storm yesterday though, it sure looked pretty!! :-] ...
 

     And the birds seemed to be enjoying it immensely!...

     They would peck a little....rest a little...swing in the wind....peck a little...rest a little...etc. I think you have the drift. LOL
     

     It was actually kind of funny watching a red cardinal on a branch in the distance yesterday. He looked like he was dancing when the wind blew. :-)) Actually he was just trying to get to a stable place to stay put, but the wind wasn't cooperating with him!! ^_^
      Anyway!...all of the above photos were from yesterday. Hubby just took a few photos this morning, so you could see the contrast of snow in the backyard...

     Just look at how weighed down the tree branches are!...And look below at the pile of snow on the suet feeder!!...
 

     I don't know if you can see it in the photo, but the food in the feeder has a thick layer of ice on it too!! Hubby says the birds are gonna have to bring out their 'ice pick beaks' this morning, if they wanna eat!! LOL
 

     I think they better bring their shovels too!! ^_^
 

     "Well, that's the way it is here in Massachusetts!...Back to you, Al!!" LOL...*sigh*...I think I've been watching too many weather reports!! LOL...Have a good day, Everybody!...And think happy thoughts! :-)

Today I will be happy!
I've decided, and so "There!"
And it won't depend on clothing,
or the way I wear my hair.

My 'Happy' has to be
from my head down to my toes.
And not coincidental,
but because that's what I've chose.

I am trying to be happy
when there's always such bad news.
But the good news is that happy
is a way to squash the blues!

So today I will be happy!
I've decided. Enough said!!
There will be plenty of time for sadness,
and for taking to my bed.

Some Words Of Love For The First September Tuesday...

   I still love you, Roger. ♥ And in case you've been under a rock, or you don't watch t.v., or...and don't even TELL me if it's this one! LOL...you don't follow tennis, I'm talking about Roger Federer. He is the former number one ranked tennis player in the world, who was seeded number seven at this year's U.S. Open.

   Roger and my 'baby boy', Rafael Nadal, were on a fast track to a first-time U.S. Open meeting, until yesterday...*gulp!*...when Roger was put out of the 2013 U.S. Open by a 7-6, 6-3, 6-4 straight sets defeat from Tommy Robredo...*sigh*...The last time Roger was defeated in the fourth round in New York was in 2003.

   He gave credit to Tommy for his great play...as well he deserved!...but still...it's gotta be a heart-breaker! O_O I know I would be!!!...But you know what?!...He will go on! There's always another tournament when you're as good as Roger!...Hence, we still love you, Roger! See you next match! :-)

    And for those of you, like me, who are still dealing with some rather stressful issues these days.....you know, like money or health problems, kids going back to school, or simply trying to let your brain catch up to the fact that it's NOT Monday!...It's Tuesday!...and it's already September!! O_O ...here are some words of love from me to you!...

       Through it all keep smiling! :-) ...

But hey!...whatever is necessary to get the proper care, right?!...Bring on the questions!!! :-) Just don't ask me about the weather!!!

Some Things In Life You Just Have To Decide...and Then DO!!

          Hello Everybody!!...Come on in and take a seat...Want something to drink?!....Now, I've been going on and on for days around here, about nuclear disasters, phones getting hung up on me by my sister, car problems, dead clothes dryers and any number of things that just 'bring me down'! I've decided that I'm not gonna talk about any of those things today! And as an indication, look at these Happy Clouds Wall Stickers in my header photo. They're from an Etsy shop called graphicspaces. They clearly show my mood this morning. And it's because I've decided that "I AM GOING TO BE HAPPY TODAY!!" ^_^ ......Whose with me?!!
     Alright! Alright! So you're not in that happy place with me yet! Well, let me share some of the things that are making me happy right now, and maybe your mood will turn around! :-) ... How about the fact that the Spring weather, while it's got a battle on it's hands, has decided to be friends with the flowers and trees!

       Yep! Tennis! It's the time of year for the Sony Ericsson Tournament. This is the 2nd week and Nadal and Federer are both still in it!!...Oh! The happiness! :-) I need to get me one of these Mens "Here To Serve" tennis tee shirts by crazy4tennis1! Roger and Rafa are doing their part. Maybe my hubby would like to join them....OFFICIALLY! LOL

         He already makes me happy every day, so even if he's not officially serving me...I'm good with the service I'm getting so far! :-)

        The above framed words,....and these below, by artzink,....reminded me that I don't have to be happy just today. I can Wake Up Happy every day! 

        "Happy" is a choice! I mean, all kinds of things can happen to you,....and around you,.....that you have no control over. But inside our head...most of us can control that! {At least part of the time...in my case! LOL} So, today, since it's just the right kind of day for a good bounce, I'm gonna be like the 'little ones'...

       ...and Bounce...emotionally! TummyMountain, where you can find all of the 'little ones', won't mind a bit, I'm sure! :-)

     Now, if there wasn't a flower in the post somewhere you'd know I was just giving this "happy" thing words, and not action....because Oh Yeah! Flowers make me HAPPY!!! Crocheted ones, always!! But truth is, I just love flowers! They are just happy-inducing creations!
