Sole.......Sister!!

      It's been a while since I mentioned it, but I have a lot of sisters! So many, in fact, that when I mention to one of my friends that I talked to my sister, they always start listing them..."You mean (blank)? No.....Oh, then you mean (blank)?...No! O_O Well, was it (blank)? ^_^ Inevitably I have to stop them before they go through the names of every one of the sisters in my family, and just tell them the name of the sister I'm talking about!! LOL

      I'm not gonna be naming names here on the blog! I'll just make a general statement....I love my sisters! ♥ :-) That doesn't mean that I always like them! Or that I like everything they do!...And I'm sure they would probably say the same about me! ^_^ But when push comes to shove...and that happened a LOT in our youth!...we always somehow have each other's backs! ♥

      I got a call from one of my sisters yesterday. It had been a while since we actually talked, even though I follow her on Facebook and know what she and her family are up to! I won't tell you what the conversation was about. I'll just tell you that it's so strange for me sometimes, remembering that she's not a kid anymore!!

      I used to be the 'Big Sister', holder of all sister wisdom, her older 'go-to' girl. And now we're both grown. She has children. And I struggle with being the older sister who wants to tell her what's best for her.....and minding my own grown-folk business!! LOL...because I KNOW that's what I have to do!! ^_^

      If I told her what to do and it didn't work out well....OOPS! I'd be responsible!! O_O And I can't be responsible for the decisions of other grown folk!! :-)) I'm barely responsible for mine these days!! LOL...Anyway!...Do any of you struggle with your sister relationships now that you're an adult?!

      Imagine how much of a struggle it is to have LOTS of grown sisters...and brothers!...and other relatives too!!!!...*sigh*...Sometimes it's just like a big 'Etch-A-Sketch' in my head. :-)) I just wanna shake the sand real hard and try to make a different picture!! LOL It's a good thing I love all of them...no matter what!! ^_^

      In other news!... :-) ...one of my customers let me share her photos of my slippers on her 'actual' feet!! ^_^ ...

      My photo taking doesn't ever get to the level of being able to be shown on 'actual' feet!! LOL So I'm thankful to her for letting me share them! ♥

      The photos below, of slipper soles NOT on feet, is as close to fairly good slipper shots that I can get! ^_^
 

      It's too bad I can't send all of my slippers to her house and let her take the photos for me!! ^_^
 

      She is also my sister.....my double 'sole slipper sister'!! ^_^

Soooooo...This Is What I've Been Up To......!

        Hello Y'all!! :-) I've missed you!!...So what have you all been up to?!.....................Me?!.................Ohhhhh....this and that! ^_^ Mostly having to do with business stuff. I've been spending a lot of time trying to get my wuglyees shop inventory moving!! I wanna put new stuff in the shop without hurting the feelings of the old stuff. LOL
       The new stuff I mostly wanna put in the shop is my slippers! So I've been experimenting like crazy on what colors, what sizes, whether to go all 'funky' and 'ME'.....or whether to keep it simple and like....well...like what most people would consider normal. ^_^ You can look at the slipper in the header photo and figure out where my leanings are! LOL
     

      I mean...doesn't everybody like double-soled variegated blue bedroom slippers (size 12) ?! ^_^
      

      Okay, okay!...Maybe 'EVERYBODY' doesn't like them! ^_^ But, the way I figure, my slippers will cause a whole lot more interesting conversations going on!! ^_^

      These, of course, aren't my whole 'line' of slippers! ^_^ I made the simply pink ones below, with black on the inside, and black soles...

       
      ...but I gave 'em away. :-))

      I have to make some more pink ones...maybe tomorrow.

      I also made these...

       I really love them!!...but they're not the easiest to make with the fuzzy yarn!...And I'm giving them to someone tonight. :-)) I still have enough of the yarn to make another pair, so if anybody wants a pair...holla!! ^_^ I'll make 'em for you for $20.00, plus shipping. {The price is negotiable to the right customer too! ♥}

      I did make another couple of pair. These burgundy ones (size 11) with pink insides and soles (below)...

      ...And these white ones, with black soles, and red insides! :-)
 

      I really love the fact that the soles and the insides are different colors! :-) They kinda remind me of the idea that Louboutin had with his shoes, making the soles red! :-) Of course, my crochet shoes are not on the same level as Louboutin's!! ^_^ But you still may see some red-soled slippers come out of my wuglyees crochet shop. Stay tuned!! ^_^
     Speaking of which, the white slipperss have been tweaked a bit! ^_^ They looked to me like they needed something........so........I added a bow! ^_^
 

      They still have black soles, and red insides, but now they have 'fanciness' too!! ^_^
 

      How much do you think I should charge for them (size 8) now?! ^_^

      Just in case you think there's nothing else of importance going on in my life...I can tell you that there was a 'skunking' incident here day before yesterday that...that......NO!!! I can't tell you!!! LOL Suffice it to say that my digestive system does not like the smell of skunk one bit!!! ^_^ I had kind of an allergic reaction to the smell. That's as far as I'm willing to tell you!...You'll have to guess the rest!! LOL
      All other news is just regular, like the fact that I drastically lowered all of the prices in my wuglyees etsy shop. I mean DRASTICALLY!!!...and that hubby has been cooking again. He made me some brownies with walnuts!......*shhhhhhh!*....that weren't good at all!! *Shhhhhhh!* LOL He substituted canola oil for the vegetable oil because he ran out. Uhhhhh.....word to the wise: DO NOT SUBSTITUTE CANOLA OIL IN BROWNIES WHEN YOU'RE BAKING!!!! Y-U-C-K!!...His heart was in the right place though, so I TRIED to eat a couple of them. The operative word is 'tried'!! LOL After that, I had to give up and tell him to throw them out. :-(
      So far I haven't gotten the replacement pan of brownies yet. But he assures me they're coming! ^_^ {If they have canola oil in 'em this time, they also better have a diamond bracelet baked in the pan!! LOL}
      Okay...I have to go and take a nap. We have a meeting tonight (Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses), and I don't wanna have my head bobbing from tiredness while I'm trying to learn something spiritually good for me! :-)

Reasons To Smile

I don't really need a reason,
to let out a great big grin;

Truth is, I really don't need a reason.
Frowns just,frankly, aren't my style.

Some Days You Just Wanna Go For A Long Walk!

      I woke up in a strange mood today. O_O Even though it's raining outside, and all dark and gloomy, I woke up ready to jump out of bed and go for a long walk! :-) I'm talking 'LONG' walk...like 'get-out-on-the-interstate-and-start-walking'! 'Let the transfer trucks and beeping cars buzz by me and blow my clothes around' kind of long walk! *blink, blink*

      Why?...I don't know! ^_^ But I do know that since I'm in the mood to 'go for long walks' I know where to get the shoes for my trip! :-) The Etsy shop that has these shoes is so cool!!...

      Of course, pretty soon summer will be over, and peep toe shoes will be a thing of the past in our area. :-( I guess we better enjoy our long walks in our sandals now!!

      The truth is...I'm not actually gonna go walking anywhere outside! My allergies are still causing me fits! I woke up wanting to go for a long walk, but I was also sneezing like a crazy woman!! ^_^ I'm hoping the sneezing and other 'stuff' (allergy-related) stops soon. I've got things to do and it's really annoying!!!
      I think this weather is really annoying my hummingbird too!...Yep! ONE hummingbird! O_O He has taken over the feeder and doesn't allow any other hummingbirds to even get a whiff of that nectar!! LOL The good thing is that he's perched right near the feeder...and nearby for me to look at...all day long practically! :-)
      I 'think' he's hoping to attract a female hummingbird, but, unfortunately, all he's attracting are other male hummingbirds looking for a place to perch to attract a female hummingbird! Ha! Ha!...I just feel sorry for him. Poor lonely, over-protective, baby! :-)) 

     Okay...I'm heading off for my 'walk'...Ha!...and I' taking along my bag...
