Red..And Fog!

      It's pancake Sunday...without pancakes. :-) Actually it's without a lot of stuff today, including words!...I'm not in the mood to do a lot of talking today...I know!...Call the newspaper!! LOL

      It's no 'biggie'. I just woke up with a headache...for the first time in quite a while...and I don't feel like doing much of nothing...including talk!...And the fact that the backyard is fogged in just makes the 'no talking' thing easy.

      The backyard is black and white and gray...darkness...snow...and fog! O_O SO I was happy to see some color in the Etsy feed this morning. Especially the red! :-) ...

     Look at this backyard and you'll see why the red was so welcome this morning!...

      There weren't even any birds at the feeder!...They probably couldn't find it through the fog!! ^_^ They probably could've used a bit of red too! :-)

It All Went Away In A Fog

I dreamed I was writing my blog,
in the middle of an old Irish bog.
There came a woof! woof!
and the pounding of hoof,
and it all went away in a fog.

The next night I was out for a jog,
and again heard that same old dog!
I took off down the street,
hid in golden high wheat,
and it all went away in a fog.

I awoke eating just like a hog,
having wine with a spicy cheese log.
Giving numerous naps,
and the dog all my scraps,
it all went away in a fog!

    Happy Saturday, Everybody!...although, in truth, it's not feeling much like a Saturday to me. It's feeling more like a Thursday. Why?...because I didn't sleep well last night. I was up and down all night, tossing and turning, and having very active dreams.

    When I finally woke up (all the way), and looked at the clock, I was shocked to find that it was only 3:43 a.m.!!! O_O So, what do you do when it's 3:44 a.m. and you can't go back to sleep?!...You wake your husband up, of course! LOL I mean...why should you suffer sleeplessness alone!! ^_^

    And, as usual, waking my hubby up to talk did not disappoint! :-) We got into a conversation about where certain old tv show people are these days...like the young girl from the show "That's My Mama". And 'Starsky' (Paul Michael Glaser), of 'Starsky and Hutch'. ^_^ Actually, we talked about a lot of people...but I'll spare you that walk down memory road. ^_^ 

     We finally stopped talking, and got up and had breakfast...even though, by that time, I was really ready for a nap! LOL...We've got a lot of 'To Do' things that need 'To Be Done' today! That's probably why I was so restless last night!...And how many of those things do I feel like doing right now?!...None of them!! LOL That's how life goes, isn't it?!!

     Anyway, before I head off to do SOMETHING!...I wanted to show you this pretty and colorful treasury (in the header photo), and some of the items featured in it, including my men's boutonniere! :-) ...

      To my girlfriends that I spent a lot of time talking on the phone with yesterday, I just wanna say...if I don't get anything done today...it's partly YOUR fault!!! ^_^ It's also partly the fault of some leftover food from my 'Virtual' Friday night date!...and a couple of Hostess chocolate cupcakes! LOL Well!...I had to check and see if they tasted the same as they did before they went out of business recently, didn't I?!......Well, didn't I?!! LOL I had to 'bite some' for the team!!...I can report...they don't seem as hearty to me. They seem a bit lighter and airier...or something. O_O

    Okay, that's it for today. Now go off and bite something for yourselves, and have a good weekend! :-)

It All Went Away In A Fog

Foggy...Boutonnieres!

    As you can see, my backyard is not smiling as much today. It's wrapped in a bit of fog and cloud at the moment...but whatever! I'm still good! ^_^ I got my sun yesterday!
 

     I almost didn't noticed what was going on out there this morning anyway! I woke up and immediately hit the books!...I'm finishing up a talk for my meeting. I've been putting it together in my head for days, and I finally had to put it down on paper...so to speak. :-] I actually typed it out on the computer.
     The subject matter is 'will people of all races ever truly be united as brothers and sisters'. I put all of my thoughts and scriptures together already All I have to do now is make sure the timing is right. I have five minutes. It's a lot of information to shrink down to five minutes, but I'm on it!! ^_^

       I won't be going out of town for my 'virtual date' tonight, so I'll have time to work on the talk some more. I've got another appointment this afternoon that's keeping me close to home...And I've got more crocheting to do too! I showed you the start of this boutonniere yesterday...
 

     It came out pretty cute! :-) And all it did was encourage me to make more!!! LOL...
 

     Yes, I know I'm gonna have to stop making them eventually! ^_^ But right now the possibilities seem to be endless as to color combinations I can try!! ^_^

      In fact, I have some three-color combinations still on the table that I haven't tried...like this navy blue, turquoise, and olive green one! :-) ...
 

     Hey! I have to see flowers somewhere!! :-))

What Isn't Foggy Makes You Hungrier!

      It's nice to be sitting here posting my blog with a rested body, a clear non-foggy head, and a good night's sleep under my belt...well, clear...except for some lingering flashes of a dream I had last night about a 8-foot mouse trying to take over the world, and my kitchen! LOL...WHATEVER!!!...{By the way, the old microwave is gone, and the tiny hole that the little field mouse made is plastered up, covered with metal, spackled, duck taped, etc...... ^_^ If he gets back in here I'm gonna pack up my dog and pony show, move, and let him have the place!! LOL}
     The only fog around here this morning is in the backyard! :-) I had hubby run out there and take a few photos before it burned off...

       It has the  feel of a 'Bronte' sisters novel in the backyard...like 'Wuthering Heights' :-) ... 

     Hubby is getting pretty good with that camera, huh?! :-) ... He's getting pretty good with something else too...most of the time...^_^ ...COOKING! 
      I know...you're saying to yourself: "Is that the Wug talking?!...saying her hubby's cooking is getting better?!...after he almost burned out the kitchen?!!!!" LOL...Yes! It's me...Hey! Everybody's entitled to one mistake! ^_^
      Okay...I may be a bit biased about my hubby's cooking today because he followed my friend's recipe for some "Chipotle Tamale Pie", or as I call it.....Chilli! :-) ...and it came out GREAT!!!!!!! :-] Soooooo good!...He's gonna modify it slightly for us the next time though. It needed a little bit of cheese, and some hot peppers. We like HEAT!! :-)) ...If anybody wants the recipe just let me know!

     I ate good yesterday!...and I wasn't the only one!...We had birdie visitors to the new suet cage all day!! :-) One was a pretty special one...Hubby tried to get some good pictures of him, but he was pretty nervous and jittery. This is the best he could do (You may have to click the photos to make them larger in order to see him)....

      Can you see him?!....It's a cardinal!!!! :-)

     Him and the other little birdies seem to be all getting along at the feeder now. At first it was a 'noise-fest' every time a new one showed up!.....Hmmmm...all this talk about fog and food is making me hungry! ^_^ Breakfast time!!!....See you later! Have a good day!

It All Went Away In A Fog

I Had A Dream.....

       I know you probably saw the post title and thought: "What is 'Wug' taking?!" ^_^ But no, I'm not taking anything...except my vitamins and supplements and some blood pressure medication. Nothing that induces dreams...I promise! LOL
       And the title is not about what you're probably thinking. I'm not talking about Martin Luther King's 'dream'...Or some dream of great wealth and financial stability....I'd have to sleep the big sleep and absolutely lose my mind to be having any such dreams as that!! LOL 

      No, the dream I had...which I'll tell you about while I share some more of hubby's Holyoke photos...was one I know I made up myself. I know that because I don't believe in mystical interpretation of dreams, and I'm almost pretty sure of what it's about anyway. I'll tell you that in a minute too...after I tell you the dream. :-)

       The dream was of me!...on my first day of College! ^_^ The reason that's funny is because I never went to College. I never wanted to go to College. And of all the places to put myself in my dreams...somewhere that I might actually need a 'working' brain would not be the place!! LOL

     But there I was, in my dorm room, putting things away!....Then I looked out of a window and could see that classes had begun...YIKES!...apparently I had napped too long! O_O...WOW! there's a surprise!! Ha! Ha!

       Wandering around the room in a nervous state because I was missing class, I decided to chock the day up as lost......Actually, I decided in that minute that this College thing wasn't gonna be for me! ^_^ I need my naps...and without pressure to get to class too! I mean, I've hopped out of school bathroom windows before! LOL {You'd have to be a regular follower of this blog to know what that's about! Sorry. ^_^}

       Even though I had decided that I was packing up my 'dog and pony show' and going home....to take a nap!...the dream didn't end there...All of a sudden my two roommates came in. One of them just went over to her bed and flopped. The other one said hi, introduced herself,....I don't remember what her name was. After all, I was outta there! ^_^...and then she wanted to show me some pictures in her camera.

        The one she had up was of a beautiful sky....hmmmmm....go figure! LOL...She walked away, but, nosy girl that I am, I wanted to see the other pictures. I saw a button that said: "Only One"....so I pushed it! O_O...Uh Oh!!!!....I actually said: "Uh Oh!" out loud apparently, because she came running over and took the camera from me! O_O

        Long story short, and a lot of dream stuff that didn't make sense later, she was NOT happy that I had erased almost 2,000 of her pictures! She said I needed to go and spend $85.00 and get her another similar camera or bring her the $85.00 tomorrow!!! O_O
       Little does she know, I'm not coming back to school tomorrow....or ever.....and that she's a goner already too! LOL....Not in an I killed her sense...I wouldn't do that! :-) But in a 'you're only a product of my dreams girl' kinda way! ^_^

       That dream seemed so real...and then I woke up and told hubby about it, and we laughed like crazy people! :-) In fact, I probably should be offended that he laughed as much as he did!!...But since I know exactly why he did, and I completely concur....it's all good! ^_^
       As I said, I know what the dream is about anyway. Part of it is editing waaaay too many of hubby's pictures at bedtime...The other part is that I have a talk, a presentation, in my congregation's Theocratic Ministry school this week, and I've been practicing like a crazy girl! ^_^ I'm kinda nervous about how it's gonna go...I know it's gonna be fine though. :-)

       You also can probably tell by the amount of words on this page, that I'm feeling better. :-] Still not 100%, but certainly waaaaay better than I was! I just have a headache left, and a slight cough and some drippy-ness and raspy-ness. Hopefully after some hot green tea and lemon, that will be all gone too!...I sure hope so! I don't wanna sound like Mr. Wug during my talk! LOL

     So that's what I'll be doing today. Watching a video, working on my talk, finishing some studying, and Oh yeah! I also woke up this morning to a request that might be a custom order! YAY!...So I'll probably start work on that a little later....As you can see, I've got plenty of things to keep me awake and busy, and out of dreamland! LOL My dreams are a wild ride!
