♫ Stuck In The Middle With You! ♫

      I woke up with this 'Stealers Wheel' song (♫ Stuck In The Middle With You ♫) 'stuck in the middle' of my brain this morning. ^_^ Why?!...That would be this 64,000 dollar question!! LOL Who knows why stuff gets stuck in this 'Wug' brain! ^_^

      I have some thoughts about it...of course! ^_^ And one of the thoughts is that maybe the song is stuck in my brain because I'm stuck in the middle of a snow storm right now!...The snow started falling yesterday (Wednesday). It will be falling all day today (Thursday). And won't end until tomorrow (Friday)! Therefore, I'm stuck in the middle! :-))

      It also could be because I'm stuck in the middle of my house with a husband who is looking for things to do to keep him busy, so that he doesn't get bored...and DRIVE ME CRAZY!!! LOL...There's some good, and some bad about that! ^_^ The good is all the good food he's cooking...lemon cake, pinto beans and ham hocks, bacon and omelets, etc...YUM!! :-) ... The bad is all of the questions...about 'every-little-thing'!...while I'm trying to write and crochet! Ugh!...And all of the clutter after him pulling everything out of its well-placed spots...because I don't answer his questions fast enough!! LOL

      Oh Well, whatever the reason...I'm stuck in the middle. And now YOU are stuck in the middle too...with me! ^_^ So, I might as well share something with you to help you stay warm! :-) ...

Water...Water....Water Falling Everywhere!

      It's been raining 'crazy' around here! And I'm sure some people love it! I know the plants, flowers and trees love it! But I'm not a flower, plant or tree, and I've had enough of it for a while!! LOL...(I say this in a very personal and ha! ha! way, not meaning to be insensitive to people who are having drought conditions and really 'need' some rain right now!)
     The backyard looks beautiful, lush and green...and for me?...the green part is right! ^_^ This rain and humidity has me aching in places I didn't know I had places!!...Now, you would think that this would make me not wanna see any more water at all...ever! But actually I'm thinking about water all the time!...But big bodies of water...located in places where it would be nice to take a 'virtual' trip again!...like the header photo shot of Lake Tahoe California! :-)
      Or the photo below of Big Sur coast in central California...

      ...Or the water under the Golden Gate Bridge. Also in California. :-) ...
 

      Hmmmm...I'm feeling a theme here! :-) ... California it is!!! :-) ...That's not until tomorrow though. Today...*sigh*...I have to get through some more rainfall....water falling! Ugh!

But in the meantime, I have music...and songs with water in the videos! :-) ...

It Has Decided To "Cut Up"!!!

       No, I'm not actually talking about the scissors! ^_^ Yes, they 'cut up' stuff too, but I'm talking metaphorically about something else that's decided to "cut up". I'll tell you about it in a second...but first I actually do wanna talk about and show you these cute 'cutting up' scissors!

     Did you notice that they look like the Eiffel Tower?!! :-) How cool is that!!

     They reminded me of how long it's been since hubby and I actually have been on a "virtual" date out of the country...Ahhhhh....our 'virtual' trip to Paris'!...*le sigh!*...And with the weather 'cutting up' now, this might be the perfect time for another trip out of the country!!! O_O

      Yep! The weather in our area is about to "cut up" big time!! Hurricane Sandy is heading in our direction, and they're using words like "perfect storm" because of how three weather fronts are converging all in the same area.

      In fact, one weather man yesterday said it could potentially be bigger than the perfect storm that hit Gloucester Massachusetts in 1991...the one that the movie with George Clooney was made about, The Perfect Storm!!!!..*gulp!*...Because of the time of year, they called that one a 'halloween nor-easter' too! Ugh! Hurricane Grace was involved in that one.

     'Sandy' and 'Grace'...Such sweet names for such violent storms!...I'm hoping that all the talk about what 'Sandy' is gonna turn into is wrong! Especially since she's heading directly at us!! O_O But it appears that, at the very least, we're gonna get some high winds and soaking rain. I guess we'll find out the rest of it next week...The weather man this morning said that us east coasters need to keep an eye on the weather reports through the weekend...You know I will!!!..Ugh! I hate it when the weather "cuts up"!!!!! Grrrrr!

      Before I go, let me share another couple of cute items I found on Etsy. I was gonna add them to the list yesterday, but somehow I forgot them...menopause made my brain 'take-a-pause'! LOL

It Feels Like Rain!

       It's funny how things happen sometimes. Like when I woke up this morning...after a restless night of sleep...the first thing my mind said was: "It feels like rain". With this 'Rag-Tag' body of mine I'm getting pretty good at telling the weather! When the shade was opened and I saw the sky.....Yep! It looks like rain alright!

     I went online, to my Wuglyees shop...something I do every morning, first thing. I do it hoping someone has surprised me by buying the shop completely out! ^_^ It hasn't happened yet!...but anyway!...I checked the activity feed for the group of people in my 'circles' (You'd have to be an etsy member to even care about the explanation of the 'circles'....so I'll move on! LOL)...and the first thing I saw was the beautiful orange parasol in the header photo!....Uhhhh....I must not be the only one thinking it feels like rain! :-)

     That observation led to me seeing pairs of colors!...That's not how they were presenting their lovely creations. That's just how I started seeing them!...The orange parasol...and this lovely nursing/teething necklace...

Cold, Rain...And Bright Red Ears That Are Not Cute!!

       It's 45 degrees Fahrenheit and still raining here in Massachusetts. It's only a light rain this morning, and actually it's suppose to end early this morning...YAY!! (But we may, or may not,  have light snow on the way...*sigh*) I suppose I shouldn't be complaining though because it could be worse. I could be living in the south right now...{my home state of Georgia is in the southern U.S!}...Yikes! From Alabama to Louisiana they experienced twisters last night!...Deadly tornadoes!! They killed 4 people overnight! O_O

     And other than the weather, the news is wacky right now too!! Hackers going crazy on Facebook and on Government sites, controversy with photos of the Pope and President Obama being 'photo-shopped', and sex abuse scandals!!...WOW! It almost makes a Massachusetts rain-hater thankful for rain!!...and for time to sit quiet and crochet!

     Yep! I'm still at it! :-] This little red and white one is not for an adult. Not because I didn't want to make it for an adult, but because I didn't have enough red to make it big enough for an adult! So, somebody's young one...or some peanut headed adult...will have to buy this one. LOL

       In the above photo you can see the size of it. {The pink one is the Giveaway headband, the pink one, that I finished yesterday.} 

       I really liked the two-toned red and white flower on this one. Perfect for a little girl I think...As to the adult pink one...

             Aargh! The pictures came out so bad!! That's what I get for trying to take photos too early in the morning in a semi-dark room...during daylight savings time blackness!! Aargh!! I'm gonna show you the other ones, but rest assured that the headband is not being done justice here! It's a soft and feminine beauty!...

         I'm hoping to get some good photos on the weekend when we get back from....OOPS! I almost spilled the 'Date Night' beans!! LOL

       I'm crocheting a pretty green one right now, with a variegated flower to put on it. Let's face it...you can't wear my creations and hide in a corner. ^_^ You have to like yourself, not be ashamed of being you, and like fashionable unique things...at least a little bit anyway. :-) The way I figure...if your ears get cold enough you'll learn to like yourself OR ELSE!! LOL....Besides...bright red frozen ears are not cute!! I don't care what you've heard! ^_^

        Quick update for inquiring minds who wanna know...I GOT MY CHOCOLATE last night! :-)

         Hubby brought me a small box of Russell Stovers Nut, Chewy & Crisp! Don't you just love hubbies who wanna see you happy...and not crazy?! ^_^ Every single piece...which I held in my mouth and let melt down to the nuts or coconut...was scrumptious!!! My endorphins are all in a happy place, and I slept really well too. I think I actually NEEDED that chocolate!...That's my story and I'm sticking to it!! LOL

      Now...if I could do something about this rain...that I'm not gonna complain about...Just saying! LOL

I've Got A Date With Boucle'!

    I know! I'm late getting the blog up today. The reason is pretty typical of a menopausal woman. I went down for a "nap" yesterday evening, around 7 in the evening. {I had been up since around 4a.m. the night before} When I woke up, WIDE awake, it was 1:15 a.m.!!! Hubby woke up too, around 2:30.
    So.....since hubby was on vacation...and we hadn't been up this time of night {or day!} in a long time, we decided to have a party! Well, it was a party for us! LOL We toasted and shared a ham and cheese sandwich, and had a cup of green tea, while watching a couple of shows on Oprah Winfrey's new network!...Why not?! It was on! And we weren't going to sleep anytime soon anyway. :-) 
      She was showing the back story to how she did a couple of the shows for the new season. The one with the whole audience going to Australia was really good...and funny! :-] I'm looking forward to a couple of other shows now too. Especially the one where the kids kidnap their work-a-holic parents!
    Anyway.....we didn't go back to bed until around 3 or 4...I think! ^_^ It's all still a little fuzzy! But at 7:57 a.m. hubby woke me up in a rush: "BAE!! Wake up! The alarm didn't go off! You have to take your medication!!" So, that's my story today. Except for one addition....

     ....my melting snow, rain soaked, backyard...Yes! Rain! And my over-slept body, with the tune of "Achy-Achy" knows it!...Oh Yeah....and as I'm typing the blog, I look over and...it's foggy too! 

      We're suppose to get temperatures in the 40s today. Looks like it's going to be an interesting weather day.WHATEVER!!
     Hubby and I are going to be having a family Bible study this morning, and then I'm going to try to contact my customer to see if this is the right color for her scarf...

      ...It's soft Boucle', Rosewood Shades. It's kinda bumpy and very very soft!

      So, if this is the right one, I'll have a date with Boucle' today! I'm chomping at the bit to get started on it! I also got some white Boucle'....just for me! :-)

    Okay, so I'm off! If you're not having rain and fog today....enjoy the day anyway!! ^_^
