LIFE...Please Let Go Of My Neck!!!!

      Hello Strangers! :-)) I feel as if just when I get myself back in a groove of being able to blog regularly something 'wonky' happens and off I go again! And that's what happened last week. I was setting up a general list of the things I wanted to blog about, and deciding which days to talk about what, and then.....LIFE grabbed me by the neck and shook me like a rag doll!! O_O
      To make a long story short...which we all know I'm not that good at doing!...hubby is out of work again. :-( Needless to say.....UGH!!!!...but on the other hand, here's another opportunity to see what our faith is made of, right?! ^_^ So far...so good!
      Thankfully we have extremely...and I mean extremely!!!...supportive and loving friends. They're helping us to keep our minds in the right place, looking forward with confidence. And in between they're supplying encouragement, money, food, and whatever else we need to keep going. ♥♥♥
      I'm supplying crocheted goods...because uhhhhh....that's all I got for now! lol
 

      I can't be certain, but some of the crochet 'custom orders' that are coming in right now 'might be' just another form of support, while allowing me to keep my dignity intact! :-) And if so.....THANK YOU!!!...although my dignity can take 'outright' orders too, for whatever reason!! LOL
 

      My friends and family know how to make me happy during stressful times though...*Ask me a Bible question that you need help with...*send someone my way that needs encouragement...or *ask me to crochet something for you!! ^_^ I'm happily distracted from my personal problems doing any, or all, of these things!!
       And if they send me a photo of them wearing something I made for them.......
 

      ...SCORE!!!! ^_^

      Thankfully I also have tennis this weekend, besides sunshine in the backyard. YAY!! :-) Now all we'll need for next week is a lot of newspapers (with WANT ADS), some more crochet orders..
 

      ...and positive smile-worthy things to focus on every day! I think we'll be just fine...as we always have been in the past. Our God has a wonderful way of taking care of us when we show that our interest is also in taking care of his interests! :-)
        Hubby is putting out the hummingbird feeder this week too! I KNOW that's gonna generate some smiles!! ^_^ ... Okay, have a good week, Y'all!! Hopefully I'll see you tomorrow! :-)) We'll see what happens! LIFE has barely taken it's fingers from around my neck now!! LOL

How Can You Be So Positive

When I can't move a muscle
and can barely lift my head,
I think of all the folks I've known
who now are gone, yes, dead!

No matter what my problem is,
and if I stand or lay,
I'm thankful that my mind still works
and I'm breathing every day!

So how am I so positive,
When things sometimes seem bleak?
It's easy, 'cuz my breathing
keeps on going every week!

Oh yes, I have a choice!
I can be miserable and whine;
Be mean to folks around me,
Be demanding and unkind.

But who would make that choice,
when there's a better way to be?
I mean, who's breathing every day
and writing poems?...ME! 

YAY!!...I Can See The Lawn!!!

        I know! You're thinking: "What are you so excited for?!!"...Well, I'll tell ya!...I've been looking at nothing but wet white stuff out my window into the backyard for what seems like an eternity now! But today.....Ahhhhhhhhh!...Sunshine and I can see the lawn!! ^_^

      And not just "Peek-A-Boo" parts of the lawn either! Practically the whole lawn is showing!!...Yes, People, it's a good day at the Wug house!! ^_^ It's also a good day because hubby doesn't have to cook again tonight! A dear, dear friend made and delivered us the most delicious meal last night!

      It was thin spaghetti, topped with a yummy chicken with mango and peaches sauce!! So.....SO....good!!! :-) ... Uhhhhh...A woman shouldn't be this excited about chicken in a mango and peach sauce....but I am!! LOL We had it for dinner...then I had a little for breakfast this morning...for lunch today...and now we'll have it again for dinner tonight!! LOL...Come on! Haven't you ever done that?!!!....No?! O_O ...TOO BAD FOR YOU!!!! ^_^

      After spaghetti chicken and mango peach sauce, what else is there to talk about?!....Oh I know! Crochet brooches! ^_^

 

      I finished these four for a dear customer. Pink...Ecru...Black...and Light Pistachio Green! :-)
 

      I also sent off two more pair of slippers last night too! :-) I've got more slippers and flower brooches in my future...

      ...but that's not the most important thing happening in my world this week. Friday, April 3, 2015 is the date for the Memorial of Christ's Death. I Am Thankful

I am thankful I can breathe

Waking Up To.........On A Sunday Morning!

        Usually I'm waking up on a Sunday morning to the sound of my husband's chit chat, and soft music playing...first, in my head, and then in the room. ^_^...But this morning I woke up very very early. Like...3:40 a.m.!! Hubby was sound asleep...probably still counting sheep! LOL

      I tried to lay there for a while. I thought about the last six granny squares I have to crochet in order to finish my little friend's blanket. I thought about my meeting at the Kingdom Hall today, and what my comment would be. I thought about what might be on tv if I turned it on. And then.....I woke hubby up! ^_^ I mean why should I be laying there enjoying all of that thinking by myself! LOL

      Thankfully hubby is always good for a conversation...even when he's half asleep! ^_^ But he woke up quickly. And before long we both realized that one of the things we both were thinking was that.......we were hungry! :-) Then we started thinking together.....about pancakes, and ham, and oatmeal, and hot tea with lemon. :-) And then we made it.....and ate it!! LOL

      Now we're sitting here watching "Dark Victory", with Bette Davis, while folding laundry. :-) I've already bathed, crocheted a granny square, and everything!...and it's only 7:30 a.m.!! :-) It feels like it's gonna be a very productive day!

      There is some 'not so fun' things that have to be done today. :-( Hubby has to clean all of his things out of the trunk of our car so that it can be towed to the junk yard this week....Yes. The car is beyond repair. :-( Apparently all of that time just sitting in the yard at his mom's house allowed a lot of time for rust to take over the exhaust system. BOOOOOOOO! HISSSSSSSSSSSSS!!!! Now it's gonna cost about as much as a new car in order to get it repaired.....and we can't even afford the price of a bottle cap!!! :-))

      Oh Well...feet were made for walking anyway, right?! ^_^

Light

I wait most every morning
to see soft light coming through the trees;

making clarity a tease.

      As usual, I had to end the post with a flower! :-) ... Unfortunately, or fortunately...depending on how you look at things!...not much else is going on around here to talk about! I've talked about my hummingbirds until I'm blue!...and yes, they're still here. And still flitting and flying about! :-)

      I've also talked about my food, my crochet projects, and my backyard raindrops. What else is there?! O_O ...Oh! I know!!...I organized my crochet items for my shop, so that they're easier to process for shipping. And I now need a long nap!! ^_^ See you tomorrow!! ♥

NON-Pancake Sunday!

            I'm having some morning tea on what's suppose to be 'Pancake Sunday'... Ahhhhhhh! :-)

       I'm sharing tea instead of pancakes for two reasons. One, my body is trying to assure me that's it's not really Sunday yet!..."It's Saturday still!...SATURDAY, I tell you, Wug!!!!" Ha! Ha!...It's saying that because I didn't go to bed until late last night...I couldn't get to, or stay, asleep for some unknown...(Hormonal!!!!! ^_^)...reason!
      And guess what the other reason is that I'm having tea instead of pancakes?...I don't 'have' any pancakes...or pancake mix...in the house!! ^_^ It's like 'old mother Hubbard's' cupboard in here!! LOL...Grocery shopping is on the list of things that...'maybe we'll do it today!'...especially since if we don't do it today we'll be eating eggs and pasta...exclusively! LOL (That's pretty much all we have a lot of in the cupboard right now!!...except for my private stash that stills holds some salt water taffy. Shhhhhh!...*looking left and right*...If hubby knew that I still had taffy!....Oh!...the bargaining he would be doing right now!! ^_^ ... But we can't live on pasta, eggs, water and salt water taffy anyway...can we?! O_O)
      In other news, on this fine pancake-less Sunday...Uhhhh...there isn't any other news!! Ha! Ha! My body is on siesta, and my brain is on hiatus from any serious thought!...except for thinking deeply with a faithful heart at my spiritual meetings!...(at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses) :-) I mean, some things deserve a lending of the brain to!...even if for increments of time! :-)
      Otherwise the brain is just taking it easy, while my fingers are in full crochet work mode! :-) That's how I am at this stage of my life....F.Y.I., 'this stage of my life' being another way of saying: "I'm OLD now!" LOL...WHATEVER!!! ^_^
      There are some great Etsy finds I can share with you today though! So I will!!...and I'll share a few more backyard flowers too! :-) ...

It's a good thing people know me

It's a good thing people know me,
and they know that I just "talk".
Cuz the things that I've been saying
might make people 'take a walk'!

It hasn't been because I'm angry
or I'm trying to make a point.
It's just the silly observations
of a brain that's 'out of joint'!

It's a good thing people know me,
cuz sometimes my mind's a ceive.
I don't remember what I found out,
and I can look insensitive.

So, for people who don't know me,
let me tell you from the start,
my mouth might shoot out kookie business,
but never worry about my heart.

My intention is toward funny,
or to simply tell the truth.
I would never hurt a fly...
