I Just Wanna Share!

Usually when I say that I just wanna share, I'm talking about 'talking'!!....and talking a lot! ^_^ But no worries, Y'all! Today it's not a ton of words I'm talking about sharing. I just wanna share a few cool finds I ran into on Etsy!...and a little piece of mail we got yesterday. I'll share that after my finds. :-)

One of the finds I ran into is this pretty glass dish (the header photo is of a single piece of it)...

It has swirls of brown and aqua throughout the french vanilla glass...Why, Oh Why, don't I have dishes that look like this?...Scratch that. I know why. It's because my last name is not Rockefeller or Trump, that's why!! LOL...If I could afford it, I'd have it!...I love it! :-) My affordability level is more on the line of 'Dixie cups' and paper plates right now! ^_^

These next few finds are just cute....to the nth degree!...

WOW! With some fabric scraps and a good idea, look what you could come up with! ^_^ ... I don't have any children, but if I did have some children this would definitely be an idea I'd be entertaining for their room!...maybe for the corner by the window where their school desk would be! :-) And my pencils would spell out the words "Study Corner"...or "Reading"...or "Love Mommy"! ^_^ Daddy could hang up his own pencil banner in the garage! LOL

And if I was a mommy, I'd love this pillow!...

Let's face it...I'm not a mommy and I love that log pillow right now! :-] ...As a matter of fact I love quite a few pillows from this shop, including these...

     Cool, right?! :-)

Last, but not least, is this cute find, that for a crocheting fool like me, is self explanatory!...

I mean, what crocheter doesn't need a yarn bowl with two little owls on the side, that says "thrive"?! :-)

So there you go.....shared!! ^_^ All except for my mail delivery yesterday...Apparently we were included in some class action suit...unbeknownst to us!...and we received the HUGE settlement check yesterday... :-) ...along with informing us that the settlement administrator canot provide individual tax advice, and that any taxes associated with our big windfall will be on us!....*gulp!*...They therefore suggested that we consult our own tax advisor if we were not certain about the tax treatment of this distribution! O_O
We were concerned about it until we looked at the amount of the settlement! Ha! Ha!...

^_^ Okay....is somebody trying to fool with our heads?!!!.....I just know a camera is gonna pop up any minute, and somebody is gonna say: "You've just been punked!"....or whatever they call practical jokes on unsuspecting "broke" people these days!! LOL I mean...where are the other decimal points and zeros, people?!!! ^_^
Apparently "class action" means we don't have any class, and with this amount of money coming to us we can't take any action whatsoever!!! LOL...How much is a gallon of gas these days?!.......Nope! We don't even have enough settlement money for that!!! Ugh!
Back to the drawing board!! ^_^ Just in time too. Hubby has a job interview later today...I'll let you know how it goes...In the meantime, have a good day, Everybody! :-)

All The Things I Love

If I listed all the things I've loved
I could rattle on forever!
Whether by 'order of importance'
or by a poeticly quick endeavor.

Right now it's Tennis...Well, all sports,
and reading informative magazines.
And crocheting, food and music.
Well..that might be in my genes!

I've loved teaching and line dancing,
So many things in my short life.
But I've never jumped from a plane,
or wittled anything with a knife!

With every passing moon
I find some other thing that I love.
Whether grassy patterns on my lawn,
or phenomenal skies above.

Yes, if I listed all the things I loved
my words could fill all space,
It comes from curiosity,
and an Ooo-ing Awww-ing place!

I Got My Butterfly Tags!!

Let's try this again...Happy Tuesday! :-) ... I'm trying it again because Monday didn't turn out to be so happy after all. In fact, I think I might have Garfield's attitude about Mondays now...at least yesterday's Monday!...

With a washing machine on the blink (had to go to the laundry mat!), and the repairman not able to come until today, stomach cramps like crazy, and a visit from my....ahem...."friend" again...UGH!!!!!...and weather maps announcing that rain (and hurricanes on the east coast heading toward Florida) was coming, it was not a good Monday. NOT a good Monday at all!!
I'm hoping that Tuesday will be actually "Happy!"...I think it just might be too, because I got a late night package in the mail that gave me a glimmer of a smile. It was the delivery of the butterfly tags I ordered!...

I couldn't wait to rip open the package and look at them up close and personal! :-)

Aren't they pretty?!!! :-] ... I really love the color of these too!...Not that I didn't love the others I had before...

I loved those too!...but this red color feels more like ME!! ^_^

I'm gonna enjoy writing notes to my customers on the inside...

...and sending their orders off to them, knowing that they're gonna open their package and get hit in the face with such a bright and happy set of butterflies! :-) ... Thanks Elizabeth, of LillyThings!! :-)

And by the way, thanks to Terri Fisher, of SmilingCatVintage too, for letting me borrow the shark bowl circling Garfield. ^_^ I had wanted to share it yesterday along with the other Monday items, but I didn't get permission in time...Frankly, it was a better fit today anyway! Funny how things work out, huh?! ^_^

Okay...I'm off to get my Tuesday started! I've got some reading and studying to do, some crocheting to finish, and some breakfast to scarf down! LOL..Happy Tuesday, Everybody!!

Tuesdays

Tuesdays follow Mondays,
trailing chores left behind.
Tuesday is the peaceful offer,
when Monday wasn't kind.

Tuesday is the day that you
 concede your week's begun.
Tuesday is the hopeful plans
of weekends coming fun.

Tuesday follows Monday,
Always second in the list.
Unsure and kind of shadowed,
just like Gorillas in the mist.

Tuesday should petition,
that it becomes a known "Fun" day!
Right now it's just quite thankful,
that it's not a moody Monday.

Feelings About MONDAYS!

When I was a working woman...meaning when I used to go to my 9 to 5  job outside the home...I was only able to get through the day to day drudge of working by looking forward to the weekends!...Ahhhhhh, Weekends!! :-)
Maybe it was because of the kind of work I did, taking care of patients at a nursing home, but whatever the reason...the coming of a Monday was never a good thing for me! Mondays meant Go, Go, Go!, selfless work, routine, schedule, bosses breathing down my neck about working overtime!!...*deep breath*
On the flip side, Mondays also meant accomplishment, a good feeling about what I did for a living, and opportunity to put happy endorphins in my body because of a job well done! :-) ...Soooo, that's what inspired today's post...feelings about Monday...that, and the fact that today is Monday! Ha! Ha!
I wanna know...what are YOUR feelings about Mondays?!...Are you, like Amaia and her Happy bag (header photo), a Happy Monday type of person?!...

...Or are you the type of person who is in denial that Monday is even here?!...

I've had days like that ^_^ where I just wanted the weekend to last ONE-MORE-DAY...PLEEEEEEEASE!!!...but it never did!! ^_^

Are you the kind of person that goes one step further and just thinks that...

      ...Mondays are a drag?!...I must admit, I know that feeling...and that Monday...very well! :-]

Or are you the type of person that wishes that every week, and every calendar, started with a Monday instead of a Sunday so that you could get Monday started earlier?!...

If you are....I DON'T understand you! ^_^ I have never been in a hurry for Monday to get here...Never!... But Shabnam does understand you, and she made the perfect calendar for you (above)! :-)

I'm more like this type of person (below)...

I knew Monday was coming.....it's now here......so I might as well wrap my brain around it....and do this!! :-]

But then there are the kind of people who just go with the flow. Mondays are just like Sundays and like Wednesdays...and like every other day! It's all a state of mind. They welcome Mondays!...

These are also the people who like Jimmy Buffett! :-) ...Okay, guilty! ^_^ This is my present state of mind. Mondays are like Wednesdays and every other day...except Friday. Friday is completely different from Monday. COMPLETELY!! ^_^
But since my every day life concerns now consist of: "Is it raining or not?!"...not whether it's Monday or Wednesday or whatever, as long as I'm not in too much pain, I go from there!....I crochet and eat and listen to music.!...including Jimmy Buffett! ^_^

By the way, my washing machine just went on the blink A-G-A-I-N!!!! Grrrrr!....Mondays!!!!!!

Monday, Monday, Monday

Here comes another Monday!
Your frantic work week has begun!
Say goodbye to 'Take It Easy',
and all those things you haven't done.

Four more week days are ahead,
seeming like they'll never end.
But just think, before you know it,
"weekend" will be round again.

Lift your attention, all you mothers;
Week day workers, "Out The Door!"
Time to file, and diaper babies,
walk and scrape things off the floor.

Here comes another Monday!
Whether you want it to, or not!
Say goodbye to 'Take It Easy'.
You've got things to do...a lot!

Monday, Monday, Monday!
Why do you have to come so fast?!
And you stay so long! Why can't
the weekend 'Take It Easy' last?!

A Cake And Flowers Kind Of Sunday!

All of a sudden, breaking the silence of a completely quiet house.....where there wasn't even a t.v. on because I was intensely concentrating on some crocheting...I heard the cake blender going at break-neck speed in the kitchen! O_O ... Yep! Mr. Wug was at it again! :-]
I almost yelled out: "Hey! What you making?!" But when he sauntered past the door to the bedroom earlier he had a kind of coy look on his face that told me that he was trying to surprise me with something. It wasn't until I heard the blender that I realized that his surprise had something to do with baking. :-) I thought that maybe he was gonna surprise me by clearing out some of those boxes that we still haven't emptied since we moved here...but Uhhh...that apparently is a surprise for another day!! LOL
Anyway...while his blender was whirring and pots and pans were banging all over the kitchen, I was in the other room....finally awake, rested, and back in a crochet 'groove'! :-) ...

...I've been making lapel pins and boutonnieres for two days...with a little pause for the custom ordered flower keychain yesterday, which she loved by the way. Phew!! :-)

...I made two one-color pins, yellow and orange...

...I made some two-toned pins...orange and pink, orange and blue, and pink and white...

...I made a couple of random ones...pink and blue, and red and pink...

...and I also made two flower boutonnieres...blues and pinks...

Can you tell I have a lot of pink thread that I'm trying to use up?! ^_^

Silence! O_O ... The blender was no longer whirring. It had been quiet for quite a while. Then all of a sudden he came through the door and said: "You wanna take a picture of my cake?! ^_^ ...

So I did!! :-) ...Don't look at it too closely though. It's pretty, but it's not as esthetically pleasing to the eye as it could be, with frosting all over the plate and knife and everything....*That's if you're one of those "food-should-be-as-good-to-look-at-as-to-taste" kind of people. :-) ...Uhhhh....I noticed it, so what does that tell you about me?! ^_^*
All that was left was the tasting!...

YUM!!!...It was lemon cake, with lemon frosting, and it had fresh cut strawberries on top! :-) ... "It's a winner, Honey!" :-) ... I'm sorry I can't share with you! But I'm still working on the "Smell-O-Puter" idea..."Taste-O-Puter" is waaaaaaay down the road somewhere!! LOL...Maybe I can take orders to lend out my baker!! ^_^

As long as you pay airfare, do the dishes afterward, and let him take a break every once and a while to play a game of 'Spider-Solataire', he's in!! ^_^ Show him to your kitchen!!! ^_^

Bingle Bangle Dingle Dangle!

Happy Weekend, Y'all! :-) ... I'm saying that as a kind of peace offering...Happy Weekend!...to those of you who are used to reading my blog earlier in the day. ^_^ I got off to a slow start this morning because I had a custom order I wanted to finish and list before I did my blog...So, sorry y'all....Happy Weekend! :-)) ...I'll show the custom order to you in a minute.
First I wanna show you some 'wrist candy' I found on Etsy...starting with that gorgeous fern and larkspur, real flowers, bangle in my header photo! :-) Isn't it gorgeous?!...and if you wanna see real prettiness, check out the rest of her shop --> HERE <-- It's the 'Trump Towers' of botanicals and resin! :-)

Along the same line of gorgeousness are these beauties...

It's also nature inspired!...See the cute little owl sitting on the branch under the dark blue midnight sky?! :-)

And look at the copper-colored dragonfly on the front of this one!...

Did you notice that the dragonfly was dressed with a vintage watch face, with a small green Swarovski crystal in the center?!...So pretty! :-)

       Speaking of pretty!...

It's a beautiful solid wood bangle in a Scandinavian style red and white floral pattern. I just love it! :-) And of course I would...it's red....and it has flowers! What's not to love?! ^_^

And last, but certainly not least, is this classy number!...

If you're laughing because you think that I didn't know that this wedding band was not a bangle.....STOP LAUGHING!! ^_^ I know it!....Well, NOW I do anyway!! LOL..Okay...I admit it! When I first looked at it I was oooooo-ing and awwwww-ing because I thought it was such a pretty bangle. It wasn't until I went to upload it that I realized it was a ring! LOL I decided to show it to you anyway because it's a gorgeous ring...that, if it was a few inches larger, would also make a gorgeous bangle!! ^_^ Putting that caveat here makes it fit right in, right?! :-]

The truth be told, I'm not one to wear bangles that often. The few I own, even though I think they're very pretty, haven't seen the light of day in quite a while! (I'll have to share them with you some time.) But that doesn't mean that I can't appreciate their beauty, and their happy weekend bangle-ishness!! ^_^

Oh Yeah, before I go, let me show you the flower keychain I just made for a little 8 year old girl...

Her mom was a customer of mine a while back. She bought a black crochet necklace. I sent her, as a free gift, one of my little flower keychains...Her little 8 year old daughter has been trying to get it from her ever since! :-)) She told her "No Way!"...Ha! Ha!
Finally her mom broke down and emailed me to make her daughter one, in pink and purple. I hope when she gets it the wrangling stops! ^_^ You moms know how that is though. Somehow taking mom's stuff is still more exciting! ^_^ I'll keep that bit of isight to myself though. I don't wanna mess up my sale! LOL

       Okay, I'm off!...Happy Weekend!!! ^_^

Weekend

Weekend Folderol;
Lollygagging, having fun;
Makes working up to Friday
worth the paperwork you've done.

Your job, all week, came first,
but now it's time for a little jaunt;
or to lay around the house
and just do nothing, if you want!

A little this. A little that.
A bit of fun had out of doors.
A little weeding in the garden.
And a little bit of chores.

Some weekend folderol,
all alone or with your friends.
Or some chit chat with your neighbors,
new acquaintances or kin.

A Weekend that's all planned,,
or simply finding things to do;
Because every Monday will be back
and you'll need something to look forward to!
