Does This Confirm That I 'AM INDEED' An Artist?!

Sorry I'm a bit late with my blog post today, but I got side-tracked by a video...which I'll tell you about in a minute...It was when I was reading the posts of the blogs I follow this morning. And then, on top of that... the Sharapova/Jankovic quarter final tennis match came on! You know what that means!! ^_^ Write a little...root a little...write a little...root a little! ^_^
Anyway! :-) ... If you saw these (below) would you think you were looking at the tools of an 'artist'?!...

Well, guess what?!...You are! :-) And thanks to the video, Makers in Business..., that I just looked at, of the 'true' artist, Marilyn Rosenfeld...

...I'm more sure of it than ever, that I am, indeed, an artist...with an artist's heart!! :-) No, my tools aren't ink and sketching materials, or an easel and professional paints! But, after looking at the sweet and touching recap of Marilyn's life by her daughter Liz, (of Mill Girl blog) and hearing Marilyn's feelings about her work, and people's reactions to her work, and how she felt about pricing it...and realizing I feel almost exactly the same way about my poetry and crocheting...I know, for a fact, that I'm an artist! :-)
The two videos are about 20, or so, minutes each...and well worth the sweet words she conveyed. Part 1 is HERE...Part 2 is HERE.
I was so inspired...even teary!...that I just had to own some of Marilyn's art for myself!! :-) So, I went by Liz's madeinlowell Etsy shop and bought myself some chickens!! :-)) ...

       She's such a good artist! :-)

And can you see my artistic abilities too (below)...without a paint brush, but still?!!! ^_^ ...

Let me just say that anyone that makes or creates items, putting their heart into every piece, and would make it even if they didn't get paid one penny!...is an artist!!! :-) If you don't believe ME, look at Wikipedia's definition for an 'artist'!...By the way, I thank Marilyn for reminding me of my artist-ship! ♥

Have a good day everybody!! :-) I've got to go and create some art!!

Today I Want To Talk About Somebody Behind Their Back...

I hope the title of my post today didn't make you come running because you wanted to hear something bad about someone...because you won't! In fact, nothing could be further from the truth!
If you're a regular reader of my blog you probably came running to see what was wrong, because you know me well enough by now to know that talking bad about somebody behind their back is not my style!...Thank you for that!
No! I want to talk about Elisa, her hubby, and their little girl, Beli...and the blog to end all blogs...From Croatia...To The States!! I just love it!...I've been reading it for a little while now. When I first started reading it they were living in Croatia. And Oh! The scenes from the beach!!
Then they moved to the States, the United States. Iowa to be exact...Now, they've moved again. To Colorado! And, having never actually been there, I am in love with Colorado now!! :-] ...Since they're off on a road trip to Texas today, I thought this would be the perfect time to rave about this blog, and about them,....behind their backs, so to speak...^_^...so they don't get embarrassed by my gushing! :-]
I'm always finding myself talking about this blog! By the time I'm through, I think you will probably be talking about it too!...Here's some of the highlights of their new home, Colorado!...
       It's beautiful scenery.
A place where Beli, the young daughter, can enjoy Colorado's fun weather...
        ...and it's great cultural experiences...

...like Yep! Ballet!...A Cinderella show I think.
          And in it's Puppet theater...

....Beli enjoyed a fun puppet show.
Beli's mom, Elisa, made homemade bread one day, and blogged about that...with pictures!
She even made some with jalapenos and cheese stuffed inside!
     Ummm Ummmm GOOD!
There also was some good food and fun on a trip to a park one day too!
And then there were Colorado's animal adventures. Some of the animals were just standing really still. And were out of their element too! :-]
      And some...WATCH OUT BELI!!!
But there were Live animals too...llamas...
      And chickens...
...and some of them were right in their backyard (and they weren't hummingbirds, parrots, or monkeys either! LOL) There was a squirrel...
       ...and.....*gulp*......
     ...a SNAKE!!!!!
YIKES!!!.....Okay, so I don't like EVERYTHING about Colorado!!! ^_^ But I also didn't know much about it before either, except for John Denver's song about it. But I'm sure enjoying Colorado now....and I'm enjoying this blog, and the way I'm getting to travel the world without ever leaving Massachusetts! :-) If you don't follow this blog already, trust me...it's worth a follow! :-]
     Happy Saturday everybody!!

Blogland Giveaways and Freebies. Yes, I said FREEBIES!!

It's another rainy day here in Massachusetts. But I think that even if you're experiencing rain or some other kind of gloomy weather today, these Giveaways and Freebies will make you smile. :-)
The header photo is from the blog Katherine's Corner. It's the Giveaway to end all Giveaways, I think. You can go and check out the details and the rules to enter  HERE. But I'll tell you about what you'll get!...a sweet butterfly candle holder, a lovely heart pendant, a crowned bird, a little silver frame and a ruffled jar candle wrap. And To finish this prize off, a pretty little butterfly too!
Now that's what I call a Giveaway!! :-) It ends on June 20th, so get on over there and enter if you're interested!
This is a pretty cool Giveaway too though!...On the blog bouffe e bambini, Photography by Hannah is offering 5 free photo edits ($25 value). In other words, you submit 5 of your photos to her and she spruces them up for you! :-) This is one of little baby Ginger that she spruced up...
There's some more of them on her blog, along with the rules to enter HERE!
Now, as to Freebies, The Blog Guidebook is giving away some nautical ones like this one...
There's a couple more. You can get to them HERE, or by clicking on the image...They gave away some other cute ones a while back. They called it Blog Bling...*Teehee*...Click Here to see them. You'll recognize a couple of these right here on my blog! :-))
And lastly, Vicki, from the blog 2 Bags Full is giving away a Spring nest...this one!
Her little Miss Maddy girl will draw the winner on May 25, 2011...And as an added bonus, if the winner is one of the followers of her blog, she'll embellish the nest with one of these little jeweled birds if you wish!
So, head on over HERE for details on how to enter. It's really simple!
So.....some pretty good stuff, huh?! :-) If this doesn't keep your mind off of the rain and gloom I don't know what will!! ^_^
Okay, I'm off to get some breakfast and get ready for a visit later this morning. Plus I have a talk to write!! `(':')` Have a good day everybody!!!
{Oh Yeah, and I want to say a quick 'Welcome Home' to Otto's Mom! The Caribbean had to let you go sometime! ^_^}

Now Let Me See.....What Are YOU All Up To?!!

I was catching up on my blog reading this morning (I always try to do that before I do my post for the day...I'm always up sooooo early in the morning!), and I came across so many fabulous things on the blogs that I decided I would share! :-)
The first thing that caught my eye was this gorgeous photo in my header! I saw it on one of my favorite blogs, A CUP OF JO. The post was entitled Sunrise bubbles. Perfect photo, and perfect title for me this morning! It was taken by the Norwegian Photographer Odin Hole Standal. I think it's just an exquisite shot!! Jo has more photographs of the bubbles HERE!
Then there was some brain food! :-) I love it when my 'catching up' involves me learning something I was always curious about, but never knew!...You ever see this icon on blogs?!
Well, this morning, on the blog GUIDEBOOK, I found out what it means! It means that the blog that has this icon has an RSS feed. Basically, it has to do with the way people subscribe to, and read, your blog. You can click on the icon above to take you over to the blog post that tells you all about it! There's also links there for how to set it up and everything!...Good to know, right?!
Next, I need a baby!! LOL Why? Look at these shoes!!!
On the blog Elle THE HEIRESS Elle was sharing her Pinterest beauties...things she likes on Pinterest. And these baby shoes were there! They're from ithinksew.com. Aren't they fabulous?!! 'I think so'!!! ^_^
She had a couple of other things she 'pinned' too!...Continuing my 'I need a baby' theme....

A little poem...It says preceding the poem: "Advice from my mama". And my favorite catch line is, of course, the last...Babies Don't Keep!!...Awwwwwwww! They sure don't!!!....Uhhhh....that's why I think I never had any! LOL
And who wouldn't love this little Pinterest 'pin' choice?!...Anybody that's yarn crazy, like me, I mean!! ^_^ You have to click on the photo for this cute little yarn wreath. It'll take you to Joann.com where you can find it.

Elle had some other good things she 'pinned' too. Go HERE to see the rest.
Last, but certainly not least, of what I saw when I was reading blogs this morning, was this beautiful photo on the blog journallingthroughphotos.
Kamana takes beautiful photographs. I love going by to peep at what she's seen through her lens. It was nice to find such beautiful 'LOVE' there this morning. :-]
In fact, I get a lot of joy from seeing what all of you are doing. I try to say so, if I can, through my comments.
Now...What am "I" up to?!!...Take a guess?! ^_^ What else.....CIRCLES......Yoyos!! (Made me think of a song! ^_^ You can click HERE to see which one.)
This was the last set I had to finish. 10 sets....DONE!!
After I was all done I had to put the individual sets in numbered bags so I can easily retrieve them for assembling them.
Then I had to make up my mind about what color would be the main color of the 5. White would get dirty too fast, and too often...Green would have been my color, but not many people carry green bags...purple was pretty, but again, not a color people carry often (especially every day)...red was the color Alittlesprite's bag was in. Gorgeous, but I wanted to see it in another color as well....So, brown it is!!
So I got started. I connected the first 4. This was no small thing either! I had to figure out what end to start on, and pay attention very closely to the way they needed to be connected. But......DONE!
That's the process I'm into right now. I'm not doing too badly either!! :-) I'm more than half way done with putting them together...SEE!!!
So, while I finish the other blog posts that popped up while I was doing this one, I'll be putting the rest of my circles together! Don't you wish you were here to help me?! ^_^
Now let me see.......Oh Yeah! A poem!! :-) Have a good day everybody!!
