Blogland Giveaways and Freebies. Yes, I said FREEBIES!!

          It's another rainy day here in Massachusetts. But I think that even if you're experiencing rain or some other kind of gloomy weather today, these Giveaways and Freebies will make you smile. :-)
         The header photo is from the blog Katherine's Corner. It's the Giveaway to end all Giveaways, I think. You can go and check out the details and the rules to enter  HERE. But I'll tell you about what you'll get!...a sweet butterfly candle holder, a lovely heart pendant, a crowned bird, a little silver frame and a ruffled jar candle wrap. And To finish this prize off, a pretty little butterfly too!
      Now that's what I call a Giveaway!! :-) It ends on June 20th, so get on over there and enter if you're interested!
     This is a pretty cool Giveaway too though!...On the blog bouffe e bambini, Photography by Hannah is offering 5 free photo edits ($25 value). In other words, you submit 5 of your photos to her and she spruces them up for you! :-) This is one of little baby Ginger that she spruced up...
      There's some more of them on her blog, along with the rules to enter HERE!
      Now, as to Freebies, The Blog Guidebook is giving away some nautical ones like this one...
       There's a couple more. You can get to them HERE, or by clicking on the image...They gave away some other cute ones a while back. They called it Blog Bling...*Teehee*...Click Here to see them. You'll recognize a couple of these right here on my blog! :-))
       And lastly, Vicki, from the blog 2 Bags Full is giving away a Spring nest...this one!
       Her little Miss Maddy girl will draw the winner on May 25, 2011...And as an added bonus, if the winner is one of the followers of her blog, she'll embellish the nest with one of these little jeweled birds if you wish!
         So, head on over HERE for details on how to enter. It's really simple!
     So.....some pretty good stuff, huh?! :-) If this doesn't keep your mind off of the rain and gloom I don't know what will!! ^_^
      Okay, I'm off to get some breakfast and get ready for a visit later this morning. Plus I have a talk to write!! `(':')` Have a good day everybody!!!
{Oh Yeah, and I want to say a quick 'Welcome Home' to Otto's Mom! The Caribbean had to let you go sometime! ^_^}

Around the Bloggie World

Blue birds, with tails extended.
New tutorial writers too.
New cameras at the ready,
all enhance my bloggie view.

Face sketches, eyes so pretty.
Flower earrings to give away.
And all kinds of crafty candy
also being given away today.

A painting of weeping skies;
a musical horn made into cake;
a miniature calendar
and a snow scene by a lake.

A new haircut, all snazzy;
A butterfly print. It's her first win!!
A Himalayan trek,
and baked cookies in a homemade tin.

I love the things I see
when I look at my Bloggie world.
It's exciting for a writer
whose a curiously nosy girl!

Rainy Day GIVEAWAYS!!

    Guess what?!....it's raining here in Holyoke this morning!! And even though I'm achy and moving in slow motion, I'm still in a pretty good mood from the weekend. Of course I've had help. First being this photo I borrowed from Vicki Patino. And with my music already on this morning, I'm 'dancing in the rain'! :-)
   Okay....so it's gonna take a little more effort today to keep my good mood...OUCH!!....But I've certainly got enough good things to help me! Like the good news about today's GIVEAWAY winner. I'll hold you in suspense for a couple more minutes before I tell you who it is.  ^_^
    And, like the fact that I was in another treasury yesterday! You can follow the link HERE to see it. Just to be honest with you,...because you know how much I usually like to show off the treasuries that the curators have worked so hard on,...I'm not 'tooting this one up' too much on purpose. Don't get me wrong, it has some great gift ideas in it, and I am REALLY honored that my Earth Red Crimson Flower Dangle Necklace was chosen for it,...

     ...but this treasury has a holiday theme. I think it was intended specifically for people who celebrate... And since I don't celebrate the holidays, and there are some specific things in it just for the holidays, I thought it would be disingenuous of me to be whooping it up over it.
   But what I WILL do is say a BIG thank you to the curator, stellasblossoms, and show you a few of the items that I specifically loved in her treasury...One of them being from her own shop! It's this Personalized Custom Mom Pendant! It has 3 tiny initial tags.
    Cute huh?!
    I also like these other cute items she chose.
     This Beige and White Earring Holder made from Wheel Thrown Pottery by KarensCoolPots.

    This gorgeous Gold, Green Velvet and Embroidery Scarf by Foret.

    This fabulously elegant necklace that she titled Egyptian Revival Amber Fringe Necklace Big Chunky Faceted Glass Pearl Victorian. It's in the shop of sodear2myheart.

    And this Round Red and Antiqued Brass Photo Locket with Magnetic Clasp Qty 2 by  Antiqued.
   You can follow the link to find the others too.
    Okay, shall I show you the winner now?!....Not yet! First let me show you something else that is keeping my good mood going.
   Ha! Ha! No!  Apparently hubby's cheesecake was not enough sugar for us this weekend! ^_^  My girlfriend thought we needed a little more sugar love....so she made this for us!
   Hubby conducted a Bible study with her husband and came home with a bag she sent for me. When we opened it, this is what we saw!! :-) So, if I sound like I'm bouncing off of the walls, now you know why!! ^_^
    Okay, I've stalled enough! Hubby took the box full of entries all shook up....and shook up again...
    Don't they look pretty with some of them having colored 'post-its'?!...He reached in the box......
    Ignore the 'ashy' (non-lotioned) hand. ^_^ ....He pulled up a paper...
    ..And CONGRATULATIONS!!! It's....
.....Yaya!!! So, Yaya, all I need is your address, and this big crocheted baby will be on it's way to you!! Either contact me on Etsy through my Wuglyees shop HERE, send me a private message on Facebook HERE, tweet me a direct message on Twitter HERE, or email me below! :-))
    Now, on to the next GIVEAWAY! This time there will be 2 winners...mainly because the 2 scarves I'm giving away are 2 of my Wuglyee scarves that look almost exactly alike! One is just slightly longer than the other. They're both 70 and 71 inches long (177.8 and 180.3 cm) and 4 & 1/2 inches wide (11.4cm wide). {And forgive me, these pictures are not very good, but it's still dark outside and we had my good natural light light bulb blow on us last night.}
    I call them 'Jazzy Peacock 1' and 'Jazzy Peacock 2'. They have turquoise bluish green, yellow, black, burnt brown, and tan colors all mixed in together.
      They're made with the same yarn and thread combination as is in the Half A Peacock Scarf that's on sale in my shop right now! It's showing a better picture.
    I made them all at the same time, but just never got around to listing these other two. So, now one.....or rather, two.....of you will be taking these Peacock "babies" to your house.
    The drawing for them will be on December 1, 2010. And just as with the other drawings, only those who follow this blog will be eligible to win. Your entry will be your comment on this blog each day....one entry is allowed per day. So, if you're talkative like me, you could enter more than 15 times!
    All I can say is be thankful I didn't go with hubby's choice of gift for you! He's been trying to find some way of pawning off my colorful party scarf for quite a while!! ^_^ But it's still gonna be here!!!
    Okay, I'm going to take my good mood on to other things now...I hope! :-) I'll leave you with a good mood inducing poem!

Things Have Changed A Lot

Our world has changed a lot.
The simply simple life is gone.
The way things used to be
is what folks put their money on.

The antiques and vintage wear;
Times gone by-remembered well.
If only they could come to life-
The stories they would tell!

Its just too bad we can't bring back
the times when we stayed home,
and sat around the house,
or took long drives-all alone.

We had the time to think,
in peace and quiet serenity;
instead of beeping, blinking, buzzing,
"new and improved" gadgetry.

Yes, things have changed a lot,
and people's attitudes have too;
They hardly look you in the eye-
But quick they are to sue!

They never eat together;
Families just don't seem to care.
And what happened to shaking hands?
and stealing quality time for prayer?

Now, they schedule every minute;
and any delay-causes rage.
They're animals on two feet.
All they're missing is a cage!

Chocoholics Anonymous, Here I Come!

    I have a thing about chocolate, as you no doubt remember by THIS POST, where my header picture is from, and this button that I won! ↓
     It's just a good thing that I don't eat as much of it as I talk about, or as much as I like looking at and drooling over it! :-) In fact, the chocolate brown yarn that I use regularly inspires my chocolate creations all the time...Like this Chocolate Brown Spotted Leopard Button Flower Necklace.
     Well, apparently, I'm not the only one with a thing for chocolate! Look at this gorgeous "Chocoholics Anonymous" Treasury that Denise of niecynotes curated!
      Every single item is amazing! And some of them are no doubt delicious too! I mean a Triple Chocolate Diva Cupcake and Belgian Dark Chocolate Butter Caramels?! YUM!! They look...as we would say in the South...'Smack yo Mama' good!! ^_^
    But this treasury is so good that even the things that are not eatable, LOOK good enough to eat! Look at this Hot Fudge Brownie Sundae Pendant or these Hostee Cupcake Painted Bottle Cap Dangle Earrings!!...{My hubby will get a kick out of seeing those!} As I said, everything is fabulous in this treasury. You can follow the link and check them out for yourselves!
   Since I couldn't really focus too closely on anything yesterday, because of my headache...which is gone this morning, by the way...I just sat around and looked at all of the pretty pictures of things online to make myself feel better. I really got in a good and calm mood when I saw this high quality satin paper page of Mariann's new calendar....of the Jaguar!!
    Isn't he just beautiful!! Oh! A napper...like me!! ^_^ And he was beautiful to me all day....even when I didn't know what he was! I kept saying he was a cheetah! ^_^ So....I don''t know my animals that well! Don't judge me!! ^_^ I DO know art when I see it! And this calendar needs to be, not just on your laundry room wall where you can scratch off which day you have to do the sheets or pick Johnny up from soccer practice, but in your studio, or in a corner wall of your living room, where when guests come over it can be an artistic conversation starter!Head on over to her Facebook page and take a look at it, and pre-order one if you like too!
     For the next week or so, until November 1st, you can get it at a lower price, just $20.00! That may sound like a lot for a calendar, but for what you'll be getting, and the information that your kids will learn and be able to use in school, it's a real bargain!
    Speaking of bargains, I've been running into some real bargains on some of the blogs I follow...FREE stuff!! I've been telling you about them, not because the bloggers and etsians are telling me to, but because I really think they're great and I wanted to share with you, so you could get in on them too!
    Some of them have been things you could download, like Mariann's desk-top calendar that she gives us every month or Denise's printable To-Do Lists in different colors. But some of them have been some amazing Giveaways! And I just got wind of some more!!
   Could you use one of these amazing quilted coaster sets?! Well, go to art life's blog and follow the link, or go directly over to lillyella's blog, where she's being interviewed...and where she's offering this fabulous Giveaway!...This is the set I like!
    One more...and it really is fabulous! Sara, over at her blog called Twillypop's place, is having a Giveaway celebrating her brand new blog! You have a choice of what you will win! You can win her Genevieve 3-pack of necklaces for layering or gifting in the colors of your choice...
     or you can have a brand new ribbon and chain like this one designed just for you!
          And you choose the colors!...There's all kinds of ways to get extra entries too, if you want. Just check out the link to her blog above....I think this is a magnificent Giveaway. Her necklaces are so unique! I've been ogling her Etsy shop for a long time now. If you go there you'll see why!
     And guess what?! In her etsy shop she even has a Chocolate Brown Genevieve Ribbon and Pearl Necklace!
    Do you believe it?!! ^_^ Oh Yeah! I could really go for some chocolate right about now!! :-) ... And since I'm all about doing something to make yourself feel better when things aren't just as you would like them, and i don't have any chocolate in the house,...and it's raining....I need to think good sunny thoughts. This poem might help!...Have a nice day everybody, and be careful those of you dealing with the really bad weather across the country!

Sun

You make water cycles flow.
You give green to leaves and doe.
You add shine to a new rainbow,
and you make the flowers grow.

Without you, we could not sow,
there'd be nothing there to hoe.
There'd be no grass for us to mow.
And our mood would be real low.

Because of you, we go, go, go,
and all our 'ducks are in a row'.
We so appreciate your glow.
Our sunny smile is how you know.

Fall, Giveaways, Winnings, and a Treasury!

      It's Fall Yall!!! :-) You might not have known that except for the amazing color of the trees around Holyoke yesterday though! After the rain took off, the temperature went up to around 70 degrees!! (Fahrenheit) It's suppose to be beautiful today too...right before more rain comes in for Wednesday! But unfortunately I don't think I'm going to enjoy it today.
    I hardly got any sleep last night. My C-Pap machine, the machine with the mask that I put on to sleep, wasn't working correctly. For some reason the pressure inside the mask kept dropping every time I put it on. So, I was up and down all night! And this morning...I have a terrible headache. UGH! Machines!!! Hubby is going to take the whole machine over to have the pressure checked in it today, so hopefully I'll get some sleep tonight. What do I need with sleep anyway?!....Said by the "Nap Queen" of Massachusetts!! LOL
    Okay, a couple of "house-keeping" things to tell you...As a reminder, the drawing in the Giveaway for the green and white afghan...
    ...will be on Monday, November 1st!! You can find out information about the Giveaway and the Afghan HERE! I've been putting your names in the box every day you made a comment! I'm excited to find out which one of you will be babysitting this "baby" in a little while! :-)
   And just so you know, I'm not the only one having a Giveaway! Nicole, over at the blog--> Nicole's Homemade Treats is also having a Giveaway. A really GOOD one too! This is what she says: "...CSN stores has graciously donated a $45.00 gift card for one lucky winner, in the USA and Canada, to use as they wish in any of their stores. CSN stores has over 200 online stores where you can find everything from cookware to fitness equipment to nesting tables. Check out CSN here."
    And then she invites us to look at her favorite,available in the CSN cookware store:
      It's the  Rachael Ray Bubble and Brown 4.25 Qt. Oval Covered Casserole in Green
I love this casserole dish!! I'm already thinking about ways I can use it!! LOL So if you want it, instead of letting me get it...and I won't be mad at ya if you do!!...you better head on over to Nicole's blog and see how you can enter! I know that for one entry all you have to do is visit her Etsy shop here and tell her your favorite treat & why you love it!...That was kind of hard for me. She's got so many delicious treats to choose from!!...But I did it! ;-) There's all kinds of ways to get more entries too! The Giveaway ends Friday 10/29/10 at 12:00 midnight EST. So, you better get on it NOW!!
    I've been doing pretty good in Giveaways lately! Remember the necklace I won last week?! Well, guess what? I just won another one too! On SnowFlakeDreams1's Blog I won a year's subscription to Country Living magazine...
    ...Oh! The recipes I'm going to have!!! :-) ... AND, as if that wasn't enough, I also won a choice of any item from her shop! YAY! I can get my hand on this!--↓
     I love her acetate tags!!....I love sharing all of my goodies with you guys too! I hope you don't mind me spouting off about it! It may sound kinda corny, but I enjoy talking about good things...Yours and Mine!!! :-)
    Okay, one more good thing and then I'll shut up...after the poem, of course! ^_^  My little Up-Cycled Doo-dad Dangle Crochet Brooch was added to RustlsVogue's Treasury entitled Recycled into Flowers and Brooches!
    You can follow the link to check out all of the creativity of the etsy shop owners! That saying about 'a mind being a terrible thing to waste' doesn't have to worry about etsians. They aren't wasting a bit of theirs!!
   Okay, a poem, and then I'm off to nurse my headache. I won't be able to go to sleep...which is REALLY what I want to do! Got no machine!! UGH!!

Logging All My Blogging

What will I talk about?
My camera's ready all the time!
Seems that everything's a subject,
whether ridiculous or sublime.

I upload all my pictures;
Head my post with one I like.
Put the title in the spot
that makes my story come to life.

Then I start the easy part,
talking til my face turns blue!
A little humorous bit of 'ME'!
(Is this what other bloggers do?)

After all my work is done,
and all my photos fit right in,
Then I hit to "Publish Post",
Well, first a "Preview", and a grin.

All that's left is constant checking.
Does anybody even care
that I'm nervous what they think,
and that my heart's all just 'Out There'?!

In the end, I have to like it!
Because it's done, won't hit "Undo"!
It's all fun and being me!
I leave the comments now to "YOU"!
