Brrrrrrrr!....Sweater Time!!
I will probably never ever ever, never ever....never EVER ever!...make this pattern again!!...but I'm half way through with it already (this is the photo I took of the back of the boy's sweater when it was only about half way done), so I HAVE to finish it now!
It's gonna be a long sleeved hooded boy's southwest-style sweater/hoodie. :-] ...
It's a whole lot of color. And a whole lot of changing of colors. And a whole lot of WORK adding those designs!! O_O But it's also a whole lot of fun doing something I haven't done before! ^_^
And since it's time for bed, and I don't have anything else to share with you...I hope you enjoy the peek at it! ^_^
I could spend a bit of time telling you the story about how hubby just found out that his new "job" is really gonna be four more weeks of un-paid training!...Ughhhhhh!!!!!...and then probably another two weeks after that before he actually gets a paycheck!....UGHHHHH!!!!...but I won't waste my time ranting about such un-smile-worthy things!! ^_^ Is it any wonder I need to go to bed RIGHT NOW?!!! O_O Goodnight, Y'all. Here's hoping you have something to smile about!! :-) I make myself feel better just knowing that somebody does!!!! ^_^ See you tomorrow! ♥
Balance
You teeter totter, in the middle,
Lean a little, OOPS! You're off!
Now you know that you're not balanced,
and you hope the ground is soft.
It's not easy to achieve,
and once you have it, to maintain.
In almost every part of life
our balance is so hard to gain.
You have to balance your emotions,
how you eat, and how you spend.
And when you're balancing your checkbook,
try to keep a level grin.
Staying somewhere in the middle
takes a conscious, careful touch,
because it doesn't take a lot
to go from balanced to 'too much'!
So try to keep a balanced eye,
a balanced plate, and balanced life.
Keep your feelings all in check,
and minimize the stress and strife.
And don't compare your sense of balance
to your neighbor's...you're alone.
Because your neighbor's also trying
to get some balance of his own!

Where Is Dr. Seuss When You Need Him?!!
Hi, Y'all! :-) I don't have a lot of time to talk tonight, so I'm just gonna show you the last project from my bag of ugly 'yucky' yarn. :-) You can see the beginnings of it in the header photo. It's a striped hat. I'm adding some white yarn with the blue and making a hat with the inspiration markings of Dr. Seuss's 'cat-in-the-hat'. ^_^ Or, at least, that's the first thing I thought of when I got it going. :-))
The only difference is that it's not gonna be as tall as Dr. Seuss's hat! ^_^ Or as brightly colored.
I may make a flower to add to it too, if there's enough of it left. Totally unlike Dr. Seuss!! I don't think Dr. Seuss was into crochet flowers! ^_^
It's been a great weekend so far. Tennis...food...tennis...crochet....tennis!! ^_^ What's not to love!! In fact, I just got through watching a great match between Kevin Anderson and Andy Murray. Who knew that Kevin Anderson had that kind of fight in him!! :-] Just in case some of you are tennis watchers and you haven't seen the match yet, I won't tell you who won. But don't assume you know!! ^_^
Tomorrow evening the Williams sisters, Serena and Venus, are playing each other in the semi-finals!!!! I can't wait to see that match!!!! :-) ... Until then...me and an ugly Dr. Seuss-inspired hat have a date! ^_^ See you later! ♥

I Have A 'Thing' For Bags And Slippers!!
I thought Friday would never get here!! ^_^ That's the kind of week I've had!...but I won't get into all of that today. I just wanted to stop by to tell you about my 'virtual' Friday Date Night trip, and show off a bag, and a couple of slippers!! ^_^
One of the bags, the one in the header photo, isn't mine. It's just one that I saw on Etsy and had to share! :-) Aren't those deer the cutest!!...With all of the piles of snow we have in the backyard, those deer are the only wildlife I've seen around here in months!! LOL Unless, of course, you count the very large feral black cat that prowls the backyard as if it's his own private 'stomping grounds'!! ^_^
Enough about that!...Let me show you the first pair of slippers I made from a new pattern that I bought on Etsy last week! :-) ...
I love the soft fuzzy yarn I 'tried' to make them with, but...uhhhh...they ended up not working with this pattern. They were just entirely too thick!! And the stitches were very hard to see too, because the yarn was kind of knotty....Too bad for me! :-(
But I'm not the kind of girl to let a crochet slipper pattern get the best of me!! ^_^ I just pulled it all apart...or cut it up...WHATEVER!! LOL...and started over!! :-) But this time I used some yarn I could see the stitches on!! :-) And they came out great!!
I made them to give to my neighbor, thinking that she could use them on her job where she's always on her feet. But, unfortunately, I made them too big for her feet! :-)) I found out...after the fact...that she wears a size six. These slippers are a size eight.
As it turns out though, the slippers still went to a good owner! :-) I gave them to one of my friends who was in a group of friends who came over to give me a gift!! ^_^ Oooooooo!...
The gift I was given came in a beautiful bag too!! :-)
The bag has colors everywhere, and birds, and butterflies, and FLOWERS!! ^_^
And mixed fiber yarn was in the bag!! I can't wait to make something pretty out of it!!! :-) But there was also some other things in the bag!!...Including a large crochet book, with some FABU patterns!...And a pair of new crochet hooks (below)!! :-)
I am going to have SO MUCH FUN with this gift!!! ♥ THANK YOU...you know who!! ^_^
I'm going on a 'la ti dah' kind of 'virtual date' tonight! Hubby has hired a 'virtual' chauffeur, and packed a picnic basket, even!! ^_^ He said he wanted us to be able to take a nap in the car on the way there, and eat, listen to music, watch the scenery, etc...without worrying about anything.....I'M GAME!! ^_^
This Friday is starting off great already! I received a bagged gift from some dear friends, and hubby cooked me some fish and grits for breakfast, bought me a large coffee and cruller (tubular donut) from 'Dunkin Donuts', and I watched the latest episode of 'Downton Abbey'! ^_^ I don't think this day could get any better!...but I'm open to being wrong!! ^_^
Have a good day, Everybody! ♥♥♥

Belize Did Not Need A Hat!
Why try to go to Belize alone...one person...when you can go for the same price with two! ^_^ Especially when you're going there on a 'virtual' date with your Honey of over 30 years! ♥ ^_^ ... We had a ball!! We ate good food, listened to good music, and saw good scenery!! All the good things a great date are suppose to be...in our opinion!! :-)
And on another note, why make one brown hat, when you can make two!! ^_^ ...
I made one brown tube hat for my girlfriend who just bought a new coat, and wanted a hat to go with it. And I liked it so much that I decided to make another one for my wuglyees shop! :-) ...
I put the little buttons on it so that it has a bit of interest. And I like the two buttons on the side. I don't know why! :-)) It's my artsy brain I guess!...
Speaking of which, I have some artsy things coming up in my shop pretty soon! :-) Hats...necklaces...etc. Stay tuned!! ^_^ And if you're interested in the brown tube hat above, or one like it, in your choice of colors, just click on one of the hats and let me know! ^_^
I'm off to spend some time in my ministry now. :-) If someone knocks at your door, be sure to open it now...and be nice!! LOL Have a good rest of the weekend, Y'all! ♥

Rabbits, And Frogs, And Rain. Oh My!!
(Crochet Rabbit by Ollebol)
Soooo...how's your Saturday going?!...Did you visit the relatives?!...Get lots of weekend errands done?!...Dig around in the garden?!...Go for a walk in the park?!...Sit and read a book?...Or are you watching tennis, like me?! :-)
Today is semi-finals day at the Internationali BNL D'Italia tournament in Rome Italy. SPOILER ALERT: Errani already whooped Jankovic, and Djokovic barely eeked out the win against Raonic!...Right now Serena Williams is in the second set with Ivanovic...and she's losing!...But she won the first set, so I think we're going three! :-) YAY!!
Wanna know what's going on around here?! ^_^ Well, we had tons of rain this morning...but now the sun is shining pretty!! :-) The hummingbirds are humming!...back and forth to the feeder...And we're getting 'guests', one that look like this cute little fella below, visiting the backyard!...
Actually, not just the back yard! :-] Case in point, I saw a huge...HUGE!...bunny rabbit, hopping across the backyard like she was looking for some lost carrots that she buried, or something. (I've seen her in the backyard before, but she wasn't this big then! O_O)
Then hubby came in the house and said he just saw a baby bunny rabbit hopping across the front driveway...and two and two added up!...I think 'Big Ole Mama Rabbit' must've lost track of 'junior', and was trying to tack his scent through the yard! :-]
Hubby didn't hang around to see which way 'junior' went, and 'Mama' disappeared on me too! So hopefully she finds him before he gets himself into trouble. O_O You know how 'young'uns' can be sometimes! ^_^
Then...we got another little visitor to the backyard. One that looked sorta like this cute little fellow!...
I don't know 'what' he was looking for! :-)) Maybe the ponds in the backyard...from all the rain...confused him! ^_^ That could happen!! LOL...All that rain confused me too! :-) But it didn't send me hopping across the backyard. I just rested! LOL...
So, there you are!...Rabbits, frogs, and rain! :-) ...
Oh Yeah! I got a photo...sorta kinda...of our frog visitor. :-) ...
I Know, I Know!! :-)) Stop laughing at my picture-taking!...or should I say 'HUBBY'S' picture-taking!! LOL
Okay, off to finish crocheting the other baby blanket. It's blue!! :-) Y'all have a good rest of the day! ♥

Do You Like Brown?!
When this confused and annoyed Wug last left you she was contemplating brown...and contemplating what to do about her baby blanket. Well, she's here to share with you the brown she found on Etsy, and to tell you the decision she made about the blanket. :-) ... *Don't you just love people who talk to you in the third person?! LOL*
ANYWAY!! ^_^ ... When I saw the lacy flowers on the socks in my header photo I knew that it was gonna be 'ON' with me and brown! ^_^ I love them!!...I also like how they show that you can wear them with your shoes! (You'll have to click over to her shop and check out the photos in the listing though.)
I'm not sure I would have called them 'socks' though. I always think of socks as thicker...warmer...or with those little grippy circle things on the under-bottoms. (You ladies who have been to the gynecologist's office know the ones I mean! ^_^ I love those little short socks!...and I have a few pair of them too! I talked the gyno doctor out of them! LOL WHAT?!!...I needed to have 'something' to smile about when I came outta there!! O_O)
Back to brown!! ^_^ ...
Of course, now that I have my eye on brown, EVERYTHING seems to look brown!! ^_^ Well, not 'all' brown! But I'm noticing the brown in certain items...like in this really pretty makeup bag!...
Don't get me wrong, I'm not seeing brown everywhere! I've also been seeing aqua green! :-) ...
Yes, this is the part of the post where the Wug tells you about her decision with the baby blanket! :-))
If you read my post yesterday you saw that I was trying to figure out what to do to finish my baby blanket. I ran out of aqua with almost two rows to go, and I couldn't find the discontinued yarn anywhere! O_O
Well, guess what?!...I decided to do the last two rows in white, or some shade of green. :-) So, why isn't it green or white on the ends now that it's finished?!...Because I didn't have either color in the house, and I wanted to finish it...NOW!!! :-))
Then it came to me!!!...Why not just make it one row shorter?! ^_^ Then I would have enough yarn to finish it, because the last row was just a finishing-edge row. Not as involved as all of the lacy/puff ball rows!!...So, that's what I did!! :)
Now, look at those ruffles. Do you think anybody would know that this baby blanket was one row short of ruffles?! ^_^ ME EITHER!!!...assuming you agree with me! (which I always assume you do at times like this! LOL)
My next non-boutonniere project?!...I haven't the slightest! LOL But rest assured that as soon as I know...You'll know!! ^_^ Have a good rest of the day, Y'all!!
