OOPS!!...What Happened To Sunday?! O_O

      It's Monday!!...and no one is more surprised than me!! Why?!...because I just realized that I totally forgot to do a blog post yesterday!! O_O I mean, I missed Sunday all together!!! ^_^ The truth is, I didn't miss it. I just didn't post a blog on it! Actually I thought I had already did it in the morning...but I hadn't! OOPS!! O_O

      What can I say...I had 'other fish to fry'!...as they say in the south. :-)) Hubby and I had an extended 'virtual date' this weekend...and there  was a meeting yesterday...and tennis was on...and I was doing a whole lot of crocheting!! ^_^ All good excuses, right?! ^_^ ... By the way, congratulations to tennis champions Serena Williams and Novak Djokovic!! :-) Maybe next time, 'Baby Boy' (Rafa Nadal)...at the French Open next week maybe! ^_^

      Okay...let me share with you some of my latest finished crochet projects, starting with the baby blanket in the header photo! :-) {Don't mind 'Baby Wuglyee' sitting next to the blanket. He's just been 'hanging out' around here, so I decided to let him sneak his way into a couple of photos...so you'd know that he's still alive and kicking!...sorta. LOL}

        The baby blue shell and ruffle blanket is so soft!! :-] I think it would be great as a wrap or as a decoration in a baby's room...You know, to throw across a chair, or over the end of a crib mattress...

      Now, the  aqua green hearts, ribbons, and ruffles blanket is more for decoration!...

       It's sorta like a woman that's dressed up in six-inch heels and has her make-up JUST RIGHT!! :-) ...

      I'm being overly dramatic about my little beauty, I'm sure. But it was sooooooo muuuuuuch woooooork that I don't even wanna think about anybody just throwing it, all rolled up, into a drawer!!!! O_O Or letting the kids, or the dog, play with it on the floor. YIKES!!! LOL

      I also took the time and re-fashioned a few brooches too. They didn't have brooch pins on the back, so I put some on them! :-) ...

 

      Now, they'll wear very nicely!... :-)...sorta like a woman in a comfortable pair of flat shoes and a pair of jeans! ^_^

      Now I can officially say: "Hello Monday!" ^_^ And "Goodbye, Y'all! Have a good week!!" ^_^

My Brain, My Brain

My brain, my brain just does
what it wants and when it wants!
Some days, all of the positives
is what it flips and flaunts.

It triggers really fast,
and all my brain cells start to meet.
It stores all kinds of things,
and it just runs long, without feet!

It fires happiness,
is organized, remembers well.
But then that "Bing!" will come
as if someone just hit a bell.

It slows and starts to ponder.
And what it ponders isn't good!
Those days it might as well
be just a solid block of wood.

Can't remember what to do,
or worse, what it already did;
Thoughts are scattered everywhere
and all my memories are hid.

Yes, my brain, my brain just does
what it wants and how it wants!
My job is staying with it,
and responding when it taunts.

      What a lovely Tuesday, right?!...Oh, wait!...Is it dark and dreary, rainy, still and windless where you live too?!...No?!!...Well, maybe it's not such a great Tuesday then!! LOL...I'm trying to be funny, Y'all. ^_^ The truth is...this Tuesday 'inhales unsuspecting fruit flies'!! :-)) That's my nice way to say...YUCK!! ^_^

      There is, of course, something good about it though...I got to do some quiet crocheting! :-) Not a lot!...My arms are hurting from the physical therapy exercises! O_O Who knew there were some muscles in my body I never used before?!...Not me!! LOL

      Anyway!!...I decided to crochet four flower pins to sell all together. I figure that maybe there is 'someone' out there looking for four colorful flower pins for the lapels of their groomsmen on their wedding day!...Maybe! O_O I guess if they sell...I'll know!! :-]

      The good thing is that they can also be worn by a bride and her bridesmaids, because they have the clutch pin backing. Truthfully, they can be pinned to just about anything! :-)

      If I get any interest in them I'll start putting other color combinations together. But for now...

      ...Wanna buy some brooches....or lapel flowers?! ^_^ If so, just click on one of the above pictures and it'll take you over to my shop. :-)

      In other news.....Uhhhh...there is no other news! :-)) Unfortunately my sister got sick and couldn't come for her visit. :-( ... And the doctor still hasn't received the results from my last blood draw. :-( ... *sigh*...It's just me...the rain...the dark clouds...some crochet yarn...and a fluffy pillow.
      Wait!...the fluffy pillow gave the whole thing a more positive spin! ^_^ You know how much I love a good nap!! :-] In fact...*yawn*...I think I'm due for another one right about now!!...But first, 5 smile-able things for today:

1. This morning I saw the rerun of the 'performance at the white house' last night on PBS. Oh!!!!!!....Aretha Franklin, Patti Labelle, Jill Scott, Tessanne Chin, etc....It was GREAT!!! :-) Such good music!!!

2. Although I'm in lots of pain today...because of the rain, and aching muscles from lots of physical therapy exercises...I still was able to do today's round of exercises! :-) ... That may not be big news to you aerobic exercising geniuses out there, but for me....IT"S AMAZING!! LOL

3. As bad as my body is feeling today, I'm still not feeling as bad as my sister! :-)) Okay...cheap shot! LOL But it made me smile!!!

4. Today is Tuesday.....And it's not Monday!! :-) That means I'm one day closer to Friday!! ^_^ Hey! I'll take a smile wherever I can get it!!

5. My mother-in-law may be moving soon! :-) ... Stay tuned!

Just A Little Peek At My New Wedding Crochet Brooch Set!

      I just have to apologize right off the bat this morning to any of you who are just sick to death of hearing me talk about my new crochet boutonniere and brooch set....Sorry. :-) But here we go again!!

      I'm almost completely done with it, and I needed to do this post as a reference for anybody that wants to look at the whole package in my shop on Etsy. Etsy only gives you five slots for photos, and this big ole 'baby' needs to be seen in more than five photos! ^_^ 

      First, let me show you the bride's brooch (on the right below) again...sitting alongside the flower girl brooch! (on the left below) :-) ...

      The bridal brooch has an extra layer of petals around the outside, and is a little larger. But I figured that whatever little girl the bride chose as her flower girl, she would want them to look as special as her that day. :-)

      And I also figured that the bride would want her bridesmaids to look beautiful, and feel special, too! Not to mention be unified, while they're by her side that day! :-) .... So I made these three bridesmaid brooches (below) for them! :-) ...

      Now, men...generally speaking...don't like huge flowers on their lapel! So I grappled with how to make the groom look special, and stand out, without sticking a huge flower on him. :-)) I asked my hubby for suggestions and he said: "Make his white, but put some blue or silver in the middle.....Nah!...Not silver. Put BLUE in the middle!" So that's what I did...but in 'turquoise', not plain blue!! (groom's boutonniere on the left below) ^_^ ...

      The tiny lapel pin on the right (above) is a ring bearer lapel pin. :-) ... Hey! Little boys have to look kinda special too, don't they?! ^_^

      Speaking of boys...I also made three groomsmen boutonnieres (below)...
      

      Hubby suggested that the groomsmen boutonnieres should be the opposite color design from the groom (turquoise, with white centers). {Of course, when people order them 'MADE TO ORDER' they can choose whatever colors they want!!! :-)

    All of the brooches, boutonnieres, and lapel pins can have either a brooch pin, a button, a foldable pin fastener, or a button clutch pin on the back, to wear them...depending on the customer's preference...

      I've made a few with the new clutch pins on the back. Hubby really likes them!!...
 

      By the way, I'm also gonna be adding an extra couple of brooches to the package as free gifts! ^_^ Two loopier, slightly larger brooches...for the mother of the bride, and the mother of the groom! :-) ...

     The above brooch is one of the mother's brooches that I started last night. It's sorta like the groom's brooch...but bigger...and loopier! ^_^ ... The mother of the bride's brooch will look sorta like it, but with a silver center. :-) I may add them to this post later.

       As of right now, the whole package will be about $110, plus shipping. I think a wedding is worth that, don't you?! ^_^ ... By the way, if you want to make the wedding package your own way...customize it!...here are the prices:

-- 3-layer Brooches = $11.00 each (add $1.00 for specialty threads, like the silver shown above) 
-- Regular size Brooches and Boutonnieres = $10.50 each
-- tiny Lapel Pins = $9.50 each
-- Mother's Loop-Style Brooches $11.50
-- Bridal Necklaces = Add $1.00 to the price of any brooch (All of the brooches and pins can be converted and made with a leather cord, or a gun metal ball chain and bar necklace.) 

      Just give me your order by going over to my Wuglyees Etsy shop and leaving me a message in the "Contact the shop owner" section. Each package will be MADE TO ORDER within 2-4 weeks! (Sometimes shorter, depending on how busy I am at the time.)
