Baby Blanket Photo Update...That Is All! :-)

     Hi Y'all! :-] It's been a long day, and I don't have much left on my mind. I'm just about talked 'out!' :-)) So, I'll save my real talking for tomorrow...after all of my thoughts relocate back to their organized mental positions! LOL
     For right now I just wanted to share the new photos I took of the hooded baby blanket...all laid out!
 

     I was thankful for the better light outside the window today. It was really good all day. (Must've been 'showing off' for the new Super Moon that was due tonight! ^_^ ... By the way, did anybody see it?!!)
 

     Now...I could regale you with the New Haven Connecticut women's final tennis tournament scores today, or with my hubby's ongoing cooking saga (today it was beef roast, baked and then fried! O_O *shaking my head*, or I could go on and on about the new tote bag I'm crocheting...with a big metal hoop in it's bottom! ^_^ But I won't!!! I'm tired and it's time to go to bed!! LOL
     Goodnight Bloggers!! :-) Or as Scarlett O'Hara would say: "Tomorrow is another day!!" ^_^ I'll see you then!!

Butterfly-ish

I'm feeling butterfly-ish.

I'm feeling like I need
a quiet day to hang around.
Have everything wrapped up,
and just block out surrounding sound.

I'm feeling butterfly-ish.
Wanna lay in bed till noon.
Wanna have some time to morph.
Need a tree and a cocoon.

Tomorrow they'll be time
to change and modify.
To spread my wings, add color,
like a brand new butterfly.

This 'Wug' Is Out Of The Bag!!

     Hello Strangers!! :-) It's been so long since I posted a blog!!!...Frankly, I haven't even been reading blogs...or even been online that much! Don't even ask!!!! UGH! O_O But I felt a bit better today, and I had some new bags I wanted to get your views on, so I decided to make some time for ME!!!! (GET BACK, LIFE!!!! Grrrrrr!)
        I'm not gonna get into the numerous things that have kept me off-line. None of which are 'smile-worthy', or even 'talk-about-it' worthy!! But I am gonna tell you that...Oh YES!...I still found time to crochet...even with a painful 'wing'! {I threw something out in my shoulder/arm, and have been dealing with it for a while now.}...Okay, so I told you about one of the things anyway that has kept me off line! ^_^
         ANYWAY!!! :-)) I've been using up a lot of my random colored leftover cotton embroidery thread, making tote bags!! :-) 
 

      Don't look at the colors too close...You might go blind!! LOL Besides which...if you look at the tote bag too close you might start trying to figure it out!! Ha! Ha! It would be a massive waste of your viewing time!! :-)) It has five different colors...the handles are not matching...there's a ribbon...and a lining that I did myself! *Blink, Blink!!* O_O YES I DID!!! LOL
 

      And, even if I do say so myself, the lining didn't come out too bad...although actually it's not really lining material. It's made from a pair of curtains I had laying around, not being used. Now.....they are being used!! ^_^
 

      The bag below doesn't have a lining yet. I like the bag so much...even with all of the wacky colors...that I'm gonna wait and buy some material to actually match the bag. CUTENESS, HERE WE COME!! ^_^

     And NO!...I didn't stop there! ^_^ In fact I've made about seven bags since I saw you last. And I'm in the midst of another one right now! :-) The problem is that I like crocheting them more than I like listing and marketing them!! :-)) So, if you're interested in taking one of my bags off of my hands for about $25.00, just let me know. Then you can save me some trouble with all of that listing and linking and stuff!! ^_^

      My favorite of these bags 'IS' actually online!!...
 

      And I did the lining in this one myself too!! ^_^ And YES...that's a good thing!! ^_^ I watched a couple of Youtube videos on putting linings in crochet bags! Also "how-to" videos on putting zippers in! (But, so far, no zippers have inspired me that much!! LOL)

      In other news, my mother-in-law has started her move into her new home! YAY!! ^_^ She's doing it a little at a time. And she LOVES it!!...She is also a Bible student of mine! ^_^ [It has been a joy sharing my love for Jehovah God with her, and seeing her light up as she learns new things! :-)]
        Also, I am the 'UNO' card Queen of our household!!! ^_^ Just saying!!!...Hubby and I have been playing almost every day lately...to pass the time, and help me not think about my arm pain...and OTHER stuff!! So far I play and just wait for the inevitable exclaim: "ARE YOU SERIOUS?!!!! UGH" LOL...Being the Queen, as I am!, it makes me giggle every time, and exclaim in reply: "OFF WITH HIS HEAD!!" LOL...Not really, but still!!!! ^_^
      Okay, off I go! On a good day you'll see me again. It could be tomorrow. It could be...Uhhhh...let's just play it by ear, shall we! ^_^ I do miss running my mouth here though!! :-)

'Baby Wuglyee' Has A New Friend...Sorta Kinda!

       Say hello to Baby Wuglyee's new 'stomping buddy'. I nicknamed him "Slipper"! ^_^ The reason will be clear in a minute...{In case you're not a regular around here, 'Baby Wuglyee' is the name of my one and only crocheted stuffed animal. You can see him in this blog post --> HERE.}
       So, here's the story...I made all of the pieces for this little puppy crochet slipper, and then spent the most frustrating night ever, and this morning, trying to figure out how to put him together and make him look like an innocent little puppy, and not a frustratingly bad pain in my neck!! ^_^

      As I was turning the pieces, this way and that way, up and down, hither and yon, it occurred to me that, if I ever figured it out, this was DEFINITELY gonna be a candy holder when I'm done!! LOL Even the idea that I would have to make another one just like it in order for the two of them to be slippers....gave me cold chills up and down my back!!!...and hither and yon too!! LOL

      Yes, I know what you're thinking. "But he's so cute!!" :-) Actually, I agree! And if it was only a matter of whether he was cute enough or not I'd already have made the other one! But, for me, that's not the issue! ^_^ For me, the issue is whether I have enough brain cells left to destroy in order to make another matching slipper!...and the answer is a definite.....NOOOOOOO!!!! ^_^

      I have a custom order of a pink baby blanket to get to work on, and making it, with a name personalized into the blanket, is gonna take all the brain cells I have left!! Another crochet puppy slipper would take me over the edge into 'play-with-my-lips-while-drooling'-ville!! LOL And if I end up there you guys wouldn't even come and visit me. I just know it!! Ha! Ha!

      My husband...and 'Baby Wuglyee, I might add!...have fallen in love with 'Slipper'! :-) He keeps asking me...every 15 minutes or so...."Seriously...you're not gonna make the other one?!...Seriously?!!" ^_^ Some things are so hard for him to accept...like the fact that I don't like catchup on my collard greens, and that tennis tournaments don't operate with weight classes! LOL

       I, on the other hand, have accepted the fact that 'Slipper' may become a new member of the family...as Baby Wuglyee's puppy friend. :-) ... Or he'll be sold as a candy holder in my Wuglyees etsy shop! LOL I'm still trying to decide. And no!...Baby Wuglyee doesn't get a vote!! ^_^
      And before I go, I also would like to admit that I am aware that my 'Slipper' doesn't look like he's suppose to look according to the pattern photo!...

      But frankly, after figuring out where all of his parts and pieces were suppose to go, I was not in the mood for felt eye cutting, freckle sewing on, and pom pom noses!!! LOL Enough was enough!! So I found some buttons that did the trick....buttons that weren't looking at me with that disapproving demeanor! ^_^ ...and I let that be that!! 
       Hubby did make me consider the possibility, in the future, of making him a pair of football slippers. :-) ...

      Since they don't have eyes, ears, or noses, I think I might be able to manage them without too much brain cell loss! ^_^ But not right now!...And no...'Slipper' does not get a vote!! LOL...Have a good rest of the day, Everybody. And you too, 'Baby Wuglyee'! :-) ♥

      It reminded me about how much I love the Fall (Autumn)! :-) Although Fall is fast disappearing!! O_O In fact, in our neck of the woods, it's starting to feel like Fall is being wrestled to the ground, and is about to get the 1-2-3 from winter!! O_O Our local forecast says that we're due to get 6 to 10 inches of 'the white stuff' starting tomorrow afternoon into Thursday! O_O *gulp!!*

      It's a good thing I have lots of reading material, yarn, and food!! ^_^ ... Speaking of yarn, look at these colorful crochet hooks I saw on Etsy!! :-) ...

      Mostly though, over the last week or so, I've just been crocheting custom orders and delivering them! :-) A bunch of scarves and hats, and some hooded wrap scarves...like this one I'm working on below...

      It's nice to be busy...CROCHETING!! :-) With all of the loud cricket sounds in my shop over the last year, I was starting to think that maybe people weren't interested in crochet items anymore!...But seeing the orders coming in...OFF-line!...I'm beginning to think that maybe I've just been focusing my energies in the wrong place!

      It's kinda sad for me that my shop isn't getting the traffic it used to. I LOVE my Etsy shop! But I can't keep spinning my wheels where nothing happens. I can't afford to!...So, more and more, I'll be focusing my marketing off-line. It seems to be more productive. At least it is for now! Who knows what will happen later! I 'do' know that I won't have the time I used to. I hae a list of items to make right now!! A scarf...another scarf...a hat...another scarf.....and some more hats!! :-) Now you know where I've been!! ^_^

      I do miss running my mouth as much though! :-)) Along those lines, I think I'll be selling more of my poems too! Maybe in handmade book form. But that's still up in the air. I'll keep you posted....For now, I'm off to 'crochet-ville' again! ^_^ Have a good rest of the day, Everybody!! ♥

Life Is Changing For Me....AGAIN!

      I haven't been talking about it too much here on the blog, but my life has been changing a bit lately...sorta like the changing colors and circles in the beautiful crochet blanket in my header photo today.

      I haven't been talking about it because I like to keep my blog a 'smile-worthy' space, not a 'complain-as-you-will' space! ^_^ But since I'll probably be talking about certain changes in my life as a matter of course, I figured I'd better give you a 'heads up'!

      The biggest change is that, as of this past Monday, I have a new person in my life...a new personal care assistant. :-) She'll be here for a few hours a day to help me get through my day a little easier, and give my hubby a break with some of the incidental 'girly' performances of life. :-)

      It's only been a couple of days and already I can see my hubby relaxing. That makes me very happy. :-) He was starting to feel a little overwhelmed and inefficient. Now that my PCA is here, hubby can focus on the other things that need to be done!...which includes some room rearranging in case his mom has to come and live with us soon. O_O
      That's another change that may be happening!! His mom is having a few issues that may require her to lighten her load too! And if she ends up coming to live with us I'll be very happy to be able to keep an eye on her daily...I worry about her a lot now.

      Okay...that's enough, for now, about my changing crazy life and schedule!! Let's get back to some smile-worthiness around here! ^_^ And, of course, that includes an Etsy treasury!! LOL...
