Is There Anything Besides FOOD On My Mind?!

      The answer to the question that titled my blog today is....NO! :-)) The ONLY thing that's been on my mind since my eyes opened this morning is FOOD!!...Yes! It's one of 'THOSE' kind of days! ^_^

      It may have been because of the dozen and a half, or so, eggs hubby brought home from his 'chicken-sitting' over the weekend. LOL I had a dream about an omelet last night!...ham and cheese, with broccoli and tomatoes in it! YUM! :-)

      And thus starting my taste buds on an all day tear! :-)) Before I go any further though, let me give big thanks to all of the wonderful Etsy shops with all of the wonderful food items that I'll be sharing today! ♥ If I had the money I would've bought one or two of everything I'm sharing!! :-) Since I don't have the money, I'll show them so that someone who 'does' have the money can come and swoop them up! :-)

      It's amazing how hormonal cravings can take over your brain! O_O The only good thing for me is that I don't have a lot of money, and I don't already have a lot of crave-type food in the house! ^_^ So, craving them is better than eating them, right?!...But here comes the 'wordy-snap-shot' into my mind! LOL ...

      I LOVE sausage!!! I'm talking 'can-eat-it-every-day-for-every-single-meal' type of love!! :-) ...

      My very, very favorite sausage used to be 'Parks' rope sausage! YUM!...I almost cried the day we found out that 'Parks' was no longer in business! ;'_'; The only sausage that has even come close since then is Hillshire Farms breakfast links....I sure wish I could afford to get some of those delicious looking sausages from the above shop!!...purely for experimental purposes, of course!...Wink! Wink! ^_^

       When it comes to donuts, I'm very particular about which ones I like...and where I like to get them from! I LOVE 'Dunkin Donuts' donuts...and coffee...but we're talking donuts here! ^_^ I love the glazed, the Boston Cream, and the apple-filled. YUM!

       I'll eat almost ANY donut! LOL But if I have a choice....! :-)) I'm not a fan of really thick donuts... fully chocolate, jelly-filled, or old-fashioned. O_O I like for the donut to melt away in my mouth, rather than having to drink something quick, and gulp when I swallow it!! LOL

       My food choices aren't always bad for me though! No! I also love 'certain' vegetables!...

      I have to admit though that I'm not the biggest fan of raw vegetables, except when they're in a delicious salad...in bite-size small pieces! I hate getting salad dressing all over my face just trying to fold some big piece of lettuce or broccoli in half in order to be able to eat it!!...And just to add...I usually prefer only bleu cheese dressing too...on the side, so I can dip my vegetables slightly in it, or pour just a little over it and mix. I do not like DROWNED salad!! LOL

       Now, let's talk popcorn! :-) I have eaten a LOT of popcorn in my life, only to get in my fifties and prefer to eat only one brand...'Act II', the natural, microwaveable, one! :-)) ... That's the one I like when I'm not pulling out the pot and cover and making my own from 'Reddenbacher' kernels I mean! :-) ... And I like it in a cute box too!...

      But...fresh and newly-popped trumps micro-wave every time!! ^_^ If I bite into it and it crunches....GREAT! :-) If I bite into it and it springs back as if it's packing peanuts....NOT GREAT!! LOL

       Then there's cake! :-) Can anyone be finicky about cake?!....Answer? YES! :-)) I don't eat it often, but when I do I like chocolate...and chocolate with chocolate glaze! :-) ...

      Having chocolate flavored lip balm (above) would certainly be a less caloric option for me! ^_^ ... Just some particulars about cake: I don't like foamy-type frosting, or cake that looks great, but doesn't taste good! Grrrr! Give me an ugly cake that knocks your taste-socks off any time!! LOL..And uhhhh...that would not include fruit cake or pecan cake! O_O I'm not a fan!

      And while I'm talking about chocolate...which I've done on this blog many, MANY times!...I also love chocolate candy. :-) And if you can buy a chocolate candy that has chocolate brownie, or chocolate cake, in the middle.....YUM! :-) ...

      To date, no candy has replaced 'Russell Stover' chewy, nutty, crunchy!...*drooling*...Although I do love M&M's with almonds, Mounds, and Snickers too. ^_^ 

      MOVING ON!! :-) ... I'm not a fan of all foods...even though I'll eat almost anything in a pinch!...except for things I'm allergic too...like peach fuzz, and anything with Monosodium glutamate (MSG)...Given the choice I will usually pass on sushi and bread. They don't agree with me all the time. In fact, so much so that I even do peanut butter and jelly on a spoon, with no bread! YAY for 'Smucker's Goober' (the peanut butter and jelly swirl in a jar! ^_^

     Here's a good thing about my food choices. Or rather my drink choices. :-] I prefer water to almost anything!...

      In fact, I seldom, if ever, drink soda or anything else. Lately however, I have been drinking about a half a glass of orange juice every day...for potassium...per my doctor's orders! :-] I'm having a little problem with low potassium, so I'm eating either a banana or having orange juice every day as a supplement.

       Speaking of bananas, and fruit. I love fruit (especially nectarines, plums, and Granny Smith apples)!...

      Truth be told, I'd be happier eating just about any OTHER fruit every day besides bananas! I'm not a fan of the texture of them...except when they're in banana bread!...Yes! That's a bread I'll eat without a problem! LOL

      Pies?...Bring 'em on!!...ANY KIND...especially sweet potato pie, and with exception to  pecan pie! Pecan pie is too sweet, and too dense for me. ^_^ Why do I love them so much?!...I think it's a childhood thing. I grew up surrounded by fruit! (blackberries, plums, apples, figs, watermelon, etc...) Such is the life of a southern girl! :-) ...

       My mother used to make the best peach cobbler's ever!! YUM! I STILL...after all these years...cannot duplicate her peach cobbler! Nor have I ever seen anyone else do it!...It's okay though. There's LOTS of other pies out there to buy or make myself! ^_^

      Now we're getting to the good stuff! My true craving today...chocolate chip cookies!...My cookie of choice so far...'Chip Ahoy'...and my own homemade peanut butter, coconut, chocolate chip cookies of course! ^_^ I sure would like to try these though!!!...

      I would also be taking a nap somewhere with my tongue hanging out of my mouth probably! LOL Soooooo...maybe it's just as well I don't have any! ^_^

      Rounding out this post, you'll notice that I didn't mention Potatoes...YUM!...or fried chicken, white meat only...YUM!...I didn't mention them because I didn't think it was necessary. :-)) What enjoyment...food-wise...would life hold without some kind of potato and some kind of chicken?! ^_^

      Speaking of chicken brings me right back to eggs! ^_^ ...

      Thanks to my hubby's 'chicken-sitting', I 'do' have eggs in the house! :-)) I guess I'll really have what I was dreaming of....an omelet! LOL I'm too full for anything else right now anyway!! LOL...By the way, tomorrow I have to tell you my hubby's dog story...*shaking my head*...See you then! ^_^

Crispy, long, french fries a-plenty.
Chocolate, peppermint, green and minty.

Salads; veggie, seafood, chicken.
Fried and floured, finger lickin'.

Hoagies, subs, and roast beef stew.
Catfish, dash of hot sauce too.

Pizza, mushroom, peppers, tomatoe.
Apple fries instead of potato.

Catch-up, mustard, condiments.
Onion rings? I'm on the fence.

Frosty, frothy, milk shake sip.
Coffee Coolata, donut, dipped.

No matter if it's hot or chilled.
Definitely a happy meal.

Tuesday...Chocolates And A Movie Day?!!

        Hello, Y'all! :-) ... Don't you just love this little teddy bear plaque?! ^_^ It reminded me of my 'Baby Wuglyee'! :-)) And he's doing the same thing that me and 'Baby Wuglyee' are doing now too...because of the weather!...*Another 3-5 inches of snow today! UGH!!!*...He's ♫  'putting his arms in the air, and waving 'em like he just don't care!' ♫ LOL

      We give up!!!! Ugh! What do you want us to do, Mr. Snow?...Get down on the ground?...Put our hands behind our back?...Walk a straight line?...Close our eyes and touch our nose?!....What?...WHAT????!!!! ^_^

      Here's what ther backyard looks like right now...just as the new snow is starting to fall....Ugh!...

      We have snow...We have ice...We have ice under snow...We have ice on top of snow!!!...After today's snowfall, we'll have ice under snow, and ice on top of snow, and ice under snow and on top of snow, and snow on top of ice and snow!! LOL...Thus, a good day for chocolates and a good movie!! ^_^
      I've already been looking through the movie listings...Hmmm...What shall it be?!...I know what it 'won't' be! It won't be any movies with snow in them!!! LOL No "It's A Wonderful Life" or "Ice Age"!!!...I've got enough of that to see right here!...

      I could handle a chocolate 'Mounds' bar, and "Finding Nemo"! :-) I don't mind a movie with lots of water!! ^_^ In fact, a movie with some happy talking fish might be right up my alley today!! ^_^ 


      

I see that "The Rainmaker", with Burt Lancaster and Katherine Hepburn, is in the movie listing too!...Hmmm...it's a movie about water...well, rain...but there's hardly any water in the whole movie!! LOL...Whatever! A movie about water, that has no water, would still be a good snow day, with a lot of snow, movie to see! ^_^


      

And Oooooo!...."The Notebook" is on today too!! :-) ... Water?!...Yep!...and a little bit of snow too. But it also has swans and stuff! :-) ... Let's face it...it's  just a good 'lay-around-on-a-snow-day' kinda movie. :-)


      

Now all I have to do is get me some chocolate...and I'm good for the day! :-) Well, except for the cold I seem to be fighting...*drip, drip, drip*...What?!...You knew it couldn't be ALL good, right?! ^_^ ... Anyway!...Have a good snow day...or whatever kind of weather day you're having...Everybody! :-)

Chocolate...Mint...and Buttons!

      Two dozen Chocolate Mint Fudge Drops by sugarspice!! It's enough to make your mouth water and send you screaming into the kitchen for some milk, isn't it?! LOL But that's not what it did for me this time! That's because I still have some Peach and Apple Conglomerated Mash Pie to consider! ^_^
     What it did send me screaming for was a place to display it! And since I didn't want it to be all alone, I had to add some other 'chocolate and mint' inspired things with it! :-) Yes! I made an Etsy Treasury! It's entitled Summer Chocolate and Mint.

       Ohhhh! There are so many chocolate and mint inspired things in the world!...and so little space to display them all!! So, these are just a few of the things I chose...

    It was a shame I couldn't put my own 'Chocolate and Mint' inspired item in there. (Putting your own items in a Treasury that you yourself made is kinda frowned upon. The whole purpose of making Treasuries is to promote the community of Etsy...not yourself!)...But if I could have put one of mine in there, it would have been the Chocolate Mint Crochet Rhyolite Puff, Cage and Ocean Jasper Bead Dangle Necklace I just recently listed in my Wuglyees shop. {That's a mouth-full, isn't it?! LOL}

      Let's be honest...this necklace is probably why I was even thinking about chocolate and mint in the first place!! ^_^
      The good thing is that while I couldn't put my necklace in 'MY' Treasury, anybody else was free to put it in theirs...and somebody 'DID'!!! :-)

  Chocolate

A snow storm on the way,
finding out you're hard in debt.
Somehow it's not so bad,
if you have melted chocolate!

Bad news everywhere,
want to throw your T.V. set.
Thankfully there is music
and some deep dark chocolate!

Doggie had an accident,
another long trip to the vet.
A waiting room with lots to read,
but you can nibble chocolate.

Grocery shopping too.
While you run in their to get
dinner for the evening
you can grab some chocolate!

Okay, you know what's coming.

and sit and eat some chocolate!

Ooooooo!....For Me?!

      Don't you love getting gifts?! Especially gifts wrapped with pretty red silk ribbons?!....What?! O_0 You mean this doesn't happen to you all the time?! LOL Okay.....it doesn't happen to me that often either. But Oh! How wonderful when it does!!
    The reason I got it was because we were invited to a wedding shower dinner by a friend who is getting married very soon. Congrats to you M, by the way. :-) This was the gift that was given to the guests.

        It came in this silver-bow laden green neon bag too! It felt so special! :-)

         Wanna see what was inside?!......Look!

         Look at the pretty roses all over it!!!!!!! :-]

         I love little jewelry boxes!...At least that's what it's going to be to me! I'm going to keep my wedding rings in it!...Speaking of which, those of you who are married, do you take your wedding rings off at night, or do you wear them at all times?
       That's a question that came up recently when talking to some friends. I was surprised to find that most of my girlfriends keep theirs on!! They sleep in them and everything!...Maybe it's not such a surprise to you all, but the idea of having my finger restricted all night long gives me a.....*pulling at the collar on my nightie*...claustrophobic feeling. LOL
     Yes, it's another edition of "TOO MUCH INFORMATION ABOUT THE WUG"!! ^_^ 
You already know it, but I've got issues!! And those issues include not having things wrapped around or pulling at me when I'm TRYING to get some sleep! You wanna know how serious it is? Well....
     ...If it was left up to me, I would be happy to only wear what I came into the world wearing!....You got me?! I don't have to say it, do I?!! ^_^ So, when it comes to sleeping...the pastime I love almost as much as writing poetry, crocheting, and listening to music....I don't want anything around my body, around my neck, around my finger, or...and I know this is going to cement my claim that I have issues....around my hair! I won't even wear a scrunchie (the cloth ponytail holder) to bed!!
     I've tried, at times when we were out of town, staying with relatives. {I didn't want to be caught 'au naturale' as a guest in a relative's unlocked doored bedroom! LOL} But it always ended up with hubby sleeping on the side of the bed nearest the door, and me getting up before the sun came up, so I could get dressed in an appropriate 'AWAKE' manner. LOL
     So, this cute little box...

            ...which was housing some delicious chocolate, is now going to be the place that houses my wedding rings....and maybe a pair of earrings, for fast dressing! LOL

       And, who knows, maybe I will put an occasional chocolate or two in there also! :-) Hmmmm......chocolate! O_0 Now, why did I go and say that?!!

Candy Rhyme

It's not right...I know,
to start your day with a chocolate face;
But the M&Ms with peanuts
gave my dream such a lovely taste.

It got me really thinking
about the candies of my youth,
like "Pixie Sticks" and "Twizzlers",
WOW! I had such a big 'Sweet Tooth'!

I remember in the playground,
trading candy like a stock.
It's a wonder you never hear
of kids going into "candy shock"!

'Hershey's with almonds',
'Kit Kats' and 'Peanut Bars';
Chocolate 'Reese's cup',
'3 Musketeers' and 'Mars'.

'Pay Days', 'Sugar Babies',
'Nestle's Crunch' and 'Heath Bars' too;
'York Peppermint patties',
because hard candies just won't do.

'Snickers', 'Milky Way',
'Butterfinger', Raisinets';
All that chocolate, good for me,
but not good for household pets!

'Twix', 'Reese's Pieces',
'Almond Joy', and Oh Yeah!, 'Mounds';
'Tootsie Rolls' and 'Whoppers'
I could eat them by the pounds!

'Dove Bar', 'Now or Laters',
'Laffy Taffy', 'Zagnut', 'Skor'.
Okay, I'm gonna stop now,
but there's plenty, plenty more!

Now that I'm grown up
I don't eat candy all the time.
Instead, I have sweet dreams of it,
and write a candy rhyme!

After The Night I Had, Chocolate Seemed Appropriate First Thing This Morning!!

         Now, all I need to do is get me a HUGE cup of coffee...with something in it that takes away your memory!...or at least your consciousness for a while. UGH!!
     I almost hate to tell you what happened, but I will....AFTER some chocolate!

     What?!!!...Not all chocolate has to be food!! ^_^ In fact, the things in prettywoman101's Etsy Treasury are not just chocolate, but Chocolate VINTAGE...!

        It may not taste good, but it sure looks good! :-) And I'm very honored to see my Chocolate Brown and Pumpkin Orange Brazilian Citrine Crochet Necklace in among all of these other chocolate goodies!

         ...And if you want to buy it ($38.00) I won't mind seeing it disappear from my Wuglyees shop ONE BIT! Ha! Ha!

     The reason I needed chocolate this morning is because another spider showed up!!!! O_0 If you saw the blog post from the other day that I did about the original spider, HERE, then you know why I needed chocolate this morning!!
    Hubby was giving me a back rub last night, when all of a sudden he yelled something out loud {I still don't know what he said!}, and barreled across the room with his eyes zoned in on something, wielding a full roll of toilet tissue that he grabbed on the way!!
    I sat up and looked, and "Oh Noooooooo!!!" It was another one of those monster spiders!!!!! But this one was smaller...about half the size of the original one!...*gulp!*...A "baby" perhaps?!!...*gulp!* O_0
    Hubby whacked it and mashed it...{sorry, insect lovers, but it HAD TO GO!!!! Enough is enough now!!}...and flushed it!...Then we had a loooooong conversation{waaaay longer than hubby would have liked, for sure! LOL} about where these spiders are coming from! Is it because of all the snow this winter, and they are getting washed into a drain pipe somewhere?!
    Hubby suggested that maybe they were making their way in through the bathtub drain pipe....WHAT????!!!!! Apparently our water in the toilet has been loudly running and he has been turning off the water at night!! O_0 He says that without the water in the pipe, maybe the spiders have been crawling up that way!....YIKES!!!
    So, needless to say, the repairman will be here THIS MORNING!!! At this point I don't care how much it costs, or who has to pay for it!!...I didn't get any sleep last night! I woke him up a few times when I remembered other ways the spiders might get in, like...doesn't the drain pipe go to other places in the house?!!! O_0
    Now, the drain to all tubs, kitchen sinks and everything are CLOSED!!! LOL Until the plumber gets here, those drained will be opened on a "need to" basis!!!...Do I hear laughter?!...Are you laughing at me?!!...Go ahead! ^_^ I'd be laughing too, if I wasn't so exhausted and unable to sleep...I have to be on SPIDER WATCH again!!
     Remind me....Why do I enjoy my backyard, and living near the woods, again!!...Somebody is gonna need a B-I-G nap after all of this!!! O_0 It's a good thing this week is half over! I don't know if I could make it if it was just beginning like this! At least, not without a WHOLE LOT MORE chocolate!!!!
