The Baby Blanket Is Finally Done!!!

      No, I didn't fall off the earth, or get run over by a n avalanche, or explode in a cloud of snow powder! ^_^ I just stopped for a minute, and focused all of my attention on some offline things that needed my attention...One of the things being the custom ordered baby blanket that I found out needed to be finished a week earlier than I initially thought!! O_O
 

      Looking at it in it's finished glory makes me so happy that it's....DONE!!! LOL WOW!! It was a whole lot more involved than I ever thought it would be...between the ton of little crocheted hearts, and the name being put on it in a different color of hearts, the ruffled edging, and the ribbons!!!
 

      I'll never get the amount of money for it that it's worth!...for sure!...but I'm okay with that! :-) I made it for someone who has a heart as big as all outdoors, and she deserves to have a gift made for her that's full of hours of love! :-] ♥
 

      And with the tons of snow, and the ridiculously cold temperatures we're having around here, I'm thankful to be able to have a baby be wrapped up in one of my blankets and keep warm!! ^_^

      By the way, the washing machine has been repaired...YAY!!!!!!...Now all of the water in this house is flowing in the places it's suppose to!! LOL

      *** On a completely different subject, I just want to send out a personal "THANK YOU" to the dear, dear friend that sent us a gift ($$$) in the mail, but didn't put a return address or a name on the envelope or on the card to tell us who you were. ;_; Your generosity brought tears to our eyes, and made us so very humbled and thankful to have YOU as a friend. ♥♥♥

      Not very many people these days think to be thoughtful enough to help someone who is in need, without taking credit for it or wanting something in return. But you did! ♥ And while we may not know exactly who you are by name, we do know you by heart. And so does Jehovah God. Love Fills The Holes

Isn't  it wondrous,
this life that we live,
the holes we fill up
from the love that we give?

Even the hard times
make wonders abound,
because of the memories
of times safe and sound.

The good times, they come,
they fill us, they flow
and leave behind a smile,
like the hard rain's  rainbow.

So, its the love that keeps growing,
that adds wonder to life;
because no matter how peaceful,
or how full of strife,

Isn't  it wondrous,
this life that we live!

I'm Working Hard For 'Positive' This Weekend!!

 

      I'm afraid I'm not up to talking much today. It's been a long...long....long....weekend!! A lot of not so smile-worthy things are happening right now, so instead of bringing y'all down talking about that, I'm choosing instead to show you the one smile-worthy thing that 'is' worth talking about!...

      I started the custom-ordered pink baby blanket! :-) I'm not too far along with it so far, but I can thank my non-working washing machine, my extremely bad headache, the snow storm...make that snow STORMS, with an 's' and another one on the way for tomorrow!!! UGH!...and the other non-smile-worthy things that happened over the last couple of days!!!!!...Aarghhhhhhh!
 

      So, please give me a pass for today y'all...and maybe tomorrow. I've got to lift my spirits with the same kind of effort that my dear friends are giving to us!! ♥♥♥ "We love y'all more than you know!!!!" :-]
 

      The really good thing, no matter what happens, is that I always know that with prayer, a good husband, loving friends and family, and a lot of long naps, I can get through just about anything!! ^_^

How Can You Be So Positive

When I can't move a muscle
and can barely lift my head,
I think of all the folks I've known
who now are gone, yes, dead!

No matter what my problem is,
and if I stand or lay,
I'm thankful that my mind still works
and I'm breathing every day!

So how am I so positive,
When things sometimes seem bleak?
It's easy, 'cuz my breathing
keeps on going every week!

Oh yes, I have a choice!
I can be miserable and whine;
Be mean to folks around me,
Be demanding and unkind.

But who would make that choice,
when there's a better way to be?
I mean, who's breathing every day
and writing poems?...ME!

It's Time To Do!....Until It's Done!!

      What a beautiful day it is!! :-) I know I keep talking about the weather, but give me a break, okay! Think about what kind of winter we've had! UGH!!! It feels good to look out the window and see something besides piles of 'white stuff', hail balls, strong winds, pouring rain, and locusts!...Okay. We didn't get locusts. LOL But if the winter had lasted any longer I'm almost sure locusts were the next thing on the list!! ^_^

      Did I say 'list'?! ^_^ Well, yes I did!!...On such a beautiful day what else would I be doing besides working a 'too long' To-Do' list?!! O_O

       ... I mean, the backyard lawn is all green and lush. The robins are hopping around all over the yard...and so is a huge bunny rabbit!! :-] I'm not kidding!! I don't know where he came from!! :-)

      Kids are running through the backyard, playing 'Tag'...or some game where they're trying to catch each other while dodging behind trees and laughing hysterically!! ^_^ ...

      It's good to hear some laughter around here! It's been a rough few months!! O_O 

      And over the last few weeks or so I've been dragging like crazy!!...not crocheting much...out of energy...and sleeping,...excuse me, napping! ^_^ But today I feel full of energy...sorta, kinda. {I'm sure it's gonna run out with a massive thud in about an hour or so! LOL} That's why I decided to take this Monday to start getting my 'To Do' things DONE!! :-]

      I actually wrote today's list of things down on paper so I could check them off as I got them done!...wishful thinking. :-)) So far, out of the twelve things on my list, seven of them are 'kaput!' ^_^ I tried to leave the best things for last...NOT!! LOL Of course it's the time-consuming, aggravating, HARD things to do, that are left!...Flip the bed-top memory foam mattress pad...comb hair {don't laugh!!...combing my hair is not an easy job! It's down my back, thick, and curly. The kind of hair that once you comb it out...you need to comb it out again to make sure it's combed out!! UGH!}

      Then I have to do my exercises...including all of the new ones the physical therapist wants me to do, with weights! UGH!...and start a new crochet project that's not a lapel brooch or boutonniere! :-) I'm crocheting a mint green baby blanket!...Probably not as cute as the one below :-) ...

      ...but still! :-)

      I've been looking through my crochet books to find something to sink my teeth...crochet-wise...into. I figure a baby blanket is a good way to go, especially since there's always 'somebody' having a baby! :-) ... NOT ME!!...but somebody! ^_^ I'll keep you posted on how it's going....That is, if I actually get 'to-do' it...or rather, start it, today. :-)

      

      Okay. I gotta go and face-the-elephant-in-the-room!...Otherwise known as the page full of exercises I have to do!...Deep breath, everybody!...HELP ME!! LOL I need inspiration....I know! I'll get Lilly Ann to inspire me! ^_^ ...
