Cupcakes...And Crochet!

     *sigh*...Apparently my sleep patterns are off again. O_O This is another 'after 3 a.m.' post!...I woke up itching and hungry. Two deadly combinations at 3 a.m.!! LOL An itch that you can't seem to satisfy, and a hunger that you can!! ^_^

      To my credit though, I satisfied the hunger with my eyes instead of my stomach. :-) I found a cupcake on Etsy! :-) ...

      Okay!...so it's not an eatable cupcake! :-))  It's cute and ceramic! That's the best kind of cupcake for me to be finding at 3 a.m. in the morning!...Did I tell you that it's 3 a.m. in the morning?!!! LOL

      Another good thing I found in this shop is a pretty yarn bowl!...

      Also ceramic, and non-eatable! LOL But perfect for an itchy, hungry, Wug girl at 3 a.m. in the morning, looking for something to do with her hands...besides eating ceramic cupcakes! ^_^ 

      I've been working on my two large crochet shawls, and this yarn bowl would certainly have come in handy...if I had one! :-)) Unfortunately, I didn't have one! I'm gonna have to put that on my 'GET ME' list for my anniversary! LOL...For now, I'm just gonna have to keep chasing my yarn all over the place I guess. :-]

      Speaking of yarn though, I have been crocheting a few other things this weekend. I got a custom order for a red and white boutonniere pin...

     ...So I made one for the customer, and one for the Wuglyees shop! :-) And while I was at it, I also made a completely red flower pin too!...

      Then I finished a necklace that I'd been working on a while ago. For some reason I had done all of the crocheting, added the loops in the back for the necklace, and put a center button on it, but hadn't added the leather cord, or photographed it! O_O ..

      But now....it's DONE! :-)  

      Okay...the hunger pang just jabbed me again! ^_^ Apparently the 'eye-food' isn't doing the trick!! LOL I may have to wake my hubby up and have him make me one of his famous egg and sausage sandwiches!...or fix me a cup of tea. :-) You take a guess at which one I'm gonna be pushing for!! LOL

      In the meantime, I'll just keep satisfying my craving with more eye-food, and more ceramics! :-)) ...

Hunger, In The Middle Of The Night

I'm thinking about gravy
 in the middle of the night,
And sausages, and apples,
 and I wanna take a bite!

I'm thinking about hunger pangs,
and how to get them fed.
What I really need to do
is put my hungry self to bed!!

      Okay...so this makes two days in a row where I'm starting my blog post with my own crochet creations!...sorry....but it's what's on my mind right now. CROCHETING! :-) Well...crocheting AND tennis....and soccer! :-)) But I'll spare you the sports talk for today...except to say: If you didn't see the tennis match between Stepanek and Djokovic today...you missed a GOOD one!! ^_^

      But, getting back to my crochet...I was slightly distracted from my tennis matches today, with my head up and down with my crochet projects! Actually I wasn't crocheting as much as I was re-fashioning some crochet!

       I turned some brooches into necklaces, and some necklaces into brooches, etc...I'm sure you've had days, just like me, where your jewelry 'spoke to you' and knew exactly how it wanted to be worn. Right?! O_O And no...I don't actually 'hear' an actual jewelry voice. That would just be weird!...and scary! Ha! Ha! I'm talking 'creatively' people!! LOL

      Anyway!...this is one of my 'new' brooches! :-) ...

      It took every ounce of me not to put a price tag of 'one million dollars' on this brooch! ^_^ That's how much I love my little rhinestone Czech flies!!...

      I'm resisting the impulse to hit the edit button and add about $20 to the price just the same!...So if you're interested in it you better get it before the impulse gets the better of me! ^_^

      Tomorrow I may move on to some other news, like how our car repairs cost us almost $400!!!!!!!...*I need to sit down after saying that out loud...in my head! ^_^*...And how the car still needs a master cylinder...or some thing like that, for the brakes....*sigh*...And thus explains all of my showing off of my crochet jewelry! LOL If I don't sell something substantial pretty soon in my shop, I'll be standing in the line to the poor house...holding hands with a 6-foot man with a forlorn look on his face...and carrying the three pieces of my clothing I still own...while sucking air through a bag over my head, with a hole near the mouth...(so I can hook up my C-Pap machine!!! LOL)

      It makes me happy to see so many of us crochet jewelry makers out there, with our own niche. :-] I'll say it again...there are so MANY talented shop owners on Etsy!!! :-) If you tied all of our creative energy up in a ball, and threw it down a bowling lane, we'd be...tired...and stone, stark-raving crazy!! LOL So don't do that!! ^_^ Just leave us to our own devices...and to our crochet hooks and other creative fly accessories! :-) And go off and have a good rest of the day, Everybody! ♥

Butterfly-ish

I'm feeling butterfly-ish.
Wanna flutter...move real slow.
Wanna wander...mind and body.
Not be fast, and 'on the go'.

I'm feeling like I need
a quiet day to hang around.
Have everything wrapped up,
and just block out surrounding sound.

I'm feeling butterfly-ish.
Wanna lay in bed till noon.
Wanna have some time to morph.
Need a tree and a cocoon.

Tomorrow they'll be time
to change and modify.
To spread my wings, add color,
like a brand new butterfly.
