Sorry, Y'all....But I Have To Make Shawls!

     Yes, I know! I'm not much fun these days, showing shawl after shawl after shawl!...And yes, there is one extra shawl in there...because I started another one! ^_^ ...

     I was on such a roll with the other two shawls that I figured that 'NOW' would be the time to finally make the bridal shawl I've been wanted to make for years!...
 

 

     I have some vintage cotton thread that I got from Portugal over twenty-five years ago. I've been putting it off, and putting it off...the making of this wedding shawl. But now...it has begun! :-) ...
 

     It's gonna be elegant, white and champagne colored. :-] And I'm hoping some bride will wanna scoop it up and value it, in the same way I have valued the soft and cushiony balls of Portuguese cotton I've had all these years. :-] ...
 

     Even though it's laying up against one of my old vintage blankets, it's looking all fancy and duded-up, isn't it?! ^_^ It's been a joy to crochet so far...even though I'm kinda cross-eyed from crocheting so much!! ^_^
      Part of the reason I'm doing these shawls right now is because I need to make something sell-able for my shop, and right now boutonnieres and crochet flowers ain't doing it!! LOL They're really time-consuming though! I haven't been online much, or doing much of anything else either that isn't a necessity!
     By the way, here's the other shawl I finished...the black and white one!...

      I have to admit...I didn't think I would be, but I'm more partial to the blue and white one!...

Dress And Feel Better

When I'm feeling bad,

Cruciani bracelets?!... O_O ...And A Shawl Update!

      I went my whole life without ever hearing anything about Cruciani bracelets, and in one day...that day being today!...I've heard about them two different times!! O_O Have you heard of them?!

     I first heard about them on a blog post done by the blogger of SavvySpice. They were mentioned and shown in a post she did entitled 'One Night In Milan'. {You can follow the link over to her blog and read the whole post if you like! ^_^ It was very interesting.}

     And, of course, since I'd never heard of them, I went on a search on Etsy to see if I was the only one in the dark about Cruciani bracelets! ^_^ And I found that...uhhh...I 'may be' the only one that's never heard of them!! LOL...TYPICAL!!! ^_^

      The header photo above, and the one below, show some really cute Cruciani style bracelets that I found in this cute shop! :-) ...

      Creativity still reigns on Etsy! ^_^ Oh, if only I could figure out a way to crochet some of these 'bad boys'!! LOL But for now...I'm sticking with my shawls. :-] ... Speaking of which, here's a quick 'where-are-you-now' shawl update! :-) ... The blue and white one has gone from this...

      Well...I could complain!...but I won't! ^_^ Except to say that focusing on more crocheting has put a 'kink' in my desire to blog as much! O_O ... But as you can see...I'm still here yakking my head off!... (That would be 'talking', not 'throwing up'...both sometimes being referred to as 'yakking'!!!! LOL)

Sometimes It's Just Funny!

 As a 50 (something) lady,
humor has to be a goal!
If I can't laugh at myself
I just go gray and wait for old.

Blogging at my aging
gives my mind something to do.
But it's nice to have a partner
I can laugh at sometimes too! 

So, How Was My Day?!!...Let Me Show You!

      It's been a great day!! :-) But don't get me wrong. Great doesn't mean that we had beautifully sunny weather, or that we were dancing the night away in Brazil!...although we did consider going to Brazil for our 'virtual date' tonight! :-) We decided against it, since the area is full to the brim with FIFA soccer fans! ^_^
      No...it was a great day 'despite' the weather....which included wind and rain ALL DAY! O_O And we enjoyed the day, despite the fact that we didn't travel anywhere!...We stayed at home all day and just enjoyed the quiet, the food, the men's semi-final tennis matches at Wimbledon, and pork chops, with homemade french fries on the side!! ^_^ YUM!!
      I know that hubby and I weren't the only ones to enjoy the stay at home! Take a look...look close now! :-) ... 
    

      The little bunnies decided that since it was pouring rain and there weren't any pesky robins hopping all over the grown, or deers roaming through, they would just frolic in the backyard to their hearts content!! ^_^ ...
 

      They didn't even seem to be too bothered by a six-foot man holding a camera and staring at them!...although they did stop and peep up at him every once in a while. :-)) ...

      Eventually they headed back into the woods...probably to eat! :-] ... We took a clue from them and headed in to eat ourselves! ^_^ ...
 

      I hadn't had pork chops and fries for a while! And they were good too!! :-) All hot and crispy...just like hubby knows I like 'em!! ^_^ 

      And just so you know I didn't sit around all day doing nothing.....much!....let me show you the two...count 'em!...TWO shawls I'm making!! :-) ...
 

      Granted, they're just at the beginning stages, but beginning the project is half the battle for me!!...Once I get it started I get obsessed almost, about getting it done!!...unless it becomes too repetitive....i.e., a certain rainbow baby blanket!! LOL Even though I was changing colors all the time on that blanket, I got bored with it. :-( It just felt like it was taking FOREVER!!!...I am gonna fish it out and finish it though!...one of these days!!....I will!....You just watch!!!! O_O But don't watch right NOW!! LOL
      Okay...that was my day!....Well, the part I can share, anyway! ^_^ There was some other stuff. You know, some silly conversations, some yelling at the t.v., some 'loser' dancing, and some begging for salt water taffy! ^_^ ........ but......no matter how much he begged, I wouldn't give it up!!! LOL My stash 'does' need to keep 'some' bribe-able stuff in it, doesn't it?!! :-)) I'm not cold-hearted though. I 'did' relinquish a peppermint or two. ^_^
      Alright, enough silliness for today!....But, oh!...it 'was' a great day!! ♥ I hope yours was too!! :-]
