Time...It's A HIT!...And It Goes By Soooooo Fast!!

      One day I was here talking my head off...The next day I was in the house crocheting my fingers off...Then I looked up and two weeks had flown by like...*snapping my finger*...THAT!! O_O Time really doesn't wait for nobody, does it!!

      And in that span of two weeks or so, everything has happened...and nothing! Mostly nothing. :-)) I've been crocheting slippers like a crazy woman! Apparently my crochet slippers are a 'HIT'! ^_^ Everyone so far that have received them have loved them! I get feedback with the words 'comfy, cozy' in it all the time....I'll take it!! :-)

      Other things have been going on too...like many burnt dinners by my adventurous cooking hubby. But uhhhh...I'm still alive and eating, so you know it hasn't been 'that' bad! LOL To his credit, there were some real 'HITS' in there too...like chocolate walnut brownies with peanut butter sauce!!

      Other things happening around here include key chains galore!...

      The keychain above is in the wuglyees shop now, but others I made aren't in there yet. I just haven't had time to photograph them and get them listed! But I'll get there....eventually!! :-) 

      There's a lot of other stuff going on that is not so smile-worthy, so I'll spare you from having to hear me rant on about it! But there have been some good things too...like the fact that every once in a while I've had a couple of minutes to pop on the computer and look around! :-) The last time I did I saw this...

      I was kinda surprised at it, because my artsy crochet hats have not been a 'HIT'! :-)) In fact, they've been a 'SIT'!...as in sit-ting right there in my wuglyees shop doing nothing but taking up space and looking pretty!! LOL Oh well...thankfully I have my slippers!! :-) ...

      Oh Yeah!...and crochet flower brooches!...which have also been a 'HIT' lately!! ^_^ I lowered the price on them quite a bit just so I could see them move. And whether it's the fact that Spring is coming, or that I offer them in a lot of colors, or for whatever reason...they're moving!! :-)

      Hopefully over the next few days I can share with you some of the other stuff going on around here, and show you some of the things I've been making....that is, if I photograph them before I send them off to their new homes! ^_^ I have two pair of crochet slippers I'm shipping out this morning, and some crochet flower brooches I'm hoping to be shipping out tomorrow!!

      AND...among other things on the upcoming agenda...it's tax paying season again! UGH!...I've got to get my books in order and pay up!!

Doing Taxes

No time to 'fudge', deceive, or 'spin'.

     I was gonna give you a two word blog post, with no photos or anything this morning!...but I decided to go back to bed and see if I felt better later instead. I'm exhausted!...Blech!...Well, it's later! :-) And YAY!...I'm glad I went back to bed! ^_^

     I'm never mad about a little more sleep anyway! ^_^ But I actually think that the 'little more sleep' I got was good for me this time!...I'm still not the ultimate of rested!...but at least my eyes are completely open, and I'm in an upright position!...and now...smiling! :-)

     I even felt good enough to link a few 'cuties' that I found on Etsy! :-) Let's see if you think these are cute too!...Starting with tape! :-) ...

     As those of you who read my blog regularly know, I don't have a cat...and have never had a cat! But for some reason cats make me curious. Is it their "Who are you? Get away from me!" disposition?!...I don't think so. LOL...I think it's more their self confident way of 'being' in the world. They seem to know how to ask for food, and love, when they need it...and how to entertain themselves...without you!...all the rest of the time! ^_^ I call it "CAT-titude!" :-)

     The Washi tape (above) shows their 'cat-titude' perfectly! ^_^ If you're sending a gift to a cat lover...it's perfect wrapping tape!

     Also, my regular blog readers know I don't have any children...unless you call my six-foot 'tall glass of handsome water' a child. ^_^ "No!...I didn't call you a child, honey!!" LOL But if I did have a child....I said: "IF!" ^_^...I know he....or she...would love these straws!!...

     How do I know they would love them?!....Uhhhh...because I do! ^_^ They're all colorful...and bubble-y...and fun!! :-) And every fun-colored juice and drink is in the same colors as these straws!! ^_^

Yikes!!! Where did the time go?!....Sorry y'all! I woke up late...and right now I've got a meeting....I'll be back to finish the post a little later. O_O SORRY!!!!!!

Okay...I'm back! ^_^ And I'm in a much less frazzled mood now too...now that my head is all filled with good stuff, and the sun is shining so pretty. :-)  ...I can take a deep breath now, organize my thoughts, and show you what I got as a gift! :-) 

     Do you believe it?!...A whole box full of yarns and threads! :-) There's such pretty colors in there too!...

       The only problem is...the friend that gave me the yarns and threads has cats. And the cats LOVED climbing all over the yarns and threads! O_O There's little cat hairs everywhere!!...Anybody got any suggestions on what I should do to make this yarn and thread usable?! I'd hate to have to throw it out! O_O Nobody...not even cat lovers...want cat hairs coming out of the scarf they're wearing, or the blanket or whatever they're using!

       In other news, the new men's boutonnieres I've been putting in the shop are getting lots of attention! In fact, a customer sent me a link to show me that boutonnieres are B-A-C-K in style!! --> HERE <--  And since I sold the black and white one the day after I put it in the shop, I decided to make a couple more...

         I think the special part of both of these is the buttons!...

       A pretty button in the front....

         And a button in the back, so you can button it into the buttonhole on your lapel...

         The button on this one has a vintage look, and a gold hue to it....

         And, of course, it has a button on the back also...

       Maybe it's the buttons on the back that's the draw for people. My girlfriend found a knitted headband in the store the other day, with a crocheted flower, with little sparkly bits all over it...

       ...and she sewed buttons in the back! :-) 

       They're not 'working' buttons. In other words, they don't fasten anything together, or open, or anything...They're just for decoration...Very cute! :-) Yeah, maybe it's the 'whole buttons in the back' thing that's the trend!

      As things go, I woke up late and most of the day is gone already...so, I'm not planning to do much else with this day. I'm gonna enjoy a nice lunch with my hubby, maybe watch a little T.V., and do a little bit of crocheting. I'll leave my big plans for tomorrow....getting all my books and stuff in order so we can do our taxes. O_O.....Yikes!! Is it that time again?!!!....Why couldn't I sleep through that?!!! ^_^ Have a good rest of the day Everybody!

I'm No Slouch!!!

       YAY!! As you can see, I finished it!!...PHEW!! I was worried there for a while because I was really 'NOT feeling' this knitting thing!!! And I don't even want to tell you how many times I almost gave up!!

      But I didn't! {Excuse the fat armed girl....Oh! That's my arm!! ^_^}

      And as you can also see, it does have an opening for an actual head!! LOL I guess I haven't lost my knitting 'chops' all together!! :-)
    Any of you that follow this blog know that I have two dummies I use to show off my crocheted items when they're done. Headless Tina shows off my scarves, gloves, and other things.

    But when I want to show off a hat I let Shequita do it!

    And she does a 'bang-up' job too!...Before I show you the rest of the Slouch hat shots though, let me remind you all that the Giveaway for the afghan/blanket I made...

       This is what it will look like from the front. And as you can see, Shequita's not wearing her hair today. So take that into consideration when you think about the fit...This is what it looks like from one side...

        Now you can see why they call it a "Slouch" hat! It's got beautiful "floppiness" in the back! LOL 

       And this is what it looks like from the other side...

     On my husband's route that he does every day for the bread and cupcake company he works for, he says he sees people wearing these Slouch hats all the time. It's in the city. And usually it's people who wear dreads (dread locks...a hair style). And while this hat can hold a lot of hair, it also will be good just to cover a cold head, or make a person look stylish!...Especially since I made it with purple suede yarn!!
