      I don't care how you slice it...so to speak! ^_^...you can't go wrong with Fall/Autumn weather! :-) It doesn't matter weather the wind is blowing...you still have color!...

      ...the sun is shining...you still have color! :-) ...
 

       ...the skies are dark, or the sun is rising...you still have color!! :-) ...

      And it's just a joy to behold every day! :-) And in my backyard right now, that's the way it is!...There's even a rose or two still growing alongside the wall...livening up the edging, while the trees and bushes keep the color landscape company. :-)) ...

      And considering what the weather is doing in other parts of the country besides Massachusetts right now, the smile on my face about the New England Fall weather is genuine!!...What is the weather doing, you ask?! O_O Take a look at what fell in Lead, South Dakota yesterday!!!...

      Over three feet of snow from the recent blizzard...Storm Atlas, I think!!...

 

      All of that 'white stuff' piled up on top of all of that pretty Fall color! O_O ...*shaking my head*...I sure hope none of it comes our way!!! O_O
      I was worried that we were gonna get the remnants of a tropical storm/hurricane as of the beginning of next week...Hurricane Karen....but as of last night she decided to try to take a little nappy-poo. ^_^ She's staying down in the Gulf, and she's been down-graded from a tropical storm to a 'tropical depression'.
      The rest of the story is that she's still spawning some dangerous tornado winds, and hauling a lot of rain, but nothing like she was doing before!...Phew!...And our weather today?!...

Fall Is The Tree

Fall is the tree,
with its colors all set free
in the orange and red you see,
and the golden leaves in the
honey-colored harmony
of a busy bumble bee.

Its so beautiful that we
don't even have to pay a fee
for the stark tranquility
that just fills our heart with glee.

Fall is the tree,
and it makes us hit our knee,
and thank God so humbly
for the unlocked door and key
to our visual memory.
All the other seasons flee,
but the fall is the tree.

Monday Is Going To The Dogs!

        Hello Monday!! :-) ...Let's give this one to the dogs, shall we?!...And no, I don't actually have a dog now! ^_^ But I have to admit that after I saw this shop I wondered why?!...Why don't I have a dog?! O_O ... Not a wet-nosed, sniffing everything, need-to-go-for-a-walk, kinda dog...but a pair of dog fingerless gloves!! :-) There's a WHOLE SHOP full of them!!!

       And look at this, 'dog-lovers'!...they have a pocket on the back of each glove!...

      ...And they can be 'made-to-order' in all kinds of colors!!...

     I know...it sounds like an info-mercial or something, doesn't it?! ^_^ But it's not! I'm not getting paid to say any of this...As if they could afford my weight in dog biscuits anyway! LOL...No, I'm just nutty enough to talk too much about something I think is pretty cool! ^_^ ...Besides, what else you got for a Monday?...Huh?!......Huh?! :-))

       I'm in slow motion today...as you no doubt can tell by the lateness of my post! LOL...if you're used to seeing it earlier I mean...Having hubby home is proving to be a challenge at the moment! He has on his mind what he wants to be doing, and I have a whole other thing on my mind. Now we just have to get the two 'twains' to meet! ^_^ We need a schedule that works for both of us. 

      Every time I get 'head-down' into the computer it dawns on me that I'm ignoring him. So, I have to get him involved in a project or send him on an errand.....Shhhhh! He doesn't know I'm doing that yet! ^_^ I'm wise beyond my years in the wife department!

        We'll work it out...flip some things....change some order....and we'll be back on a comfortable road again soon. :-) Be patient with me until then, okay?!...

        Sending him out onto the roads today could be another challenge. Not because the roads are that full of snow, because even though it snowed all day, it only stuck on the off-road areas...like my backyard! The city was great about shoveling snow, putting salt down, and de-icing everything as the storm was going on this time....They probably were just itching for something to do! It's been 'THAT' kind of winter!

      But, because the temperature is below freezing this morning, it's a bit icy...And we have another mixed precipitation event due to come in overnight too. So, I won't think up any unnecessary errands for hubby today. LOL

        I need to just keep good relations. :-) ... Speaking of good relations, when Tracy Roul, of CastAwayCollection, did her new treasury of Excellent Promoters...

        ...she included the beige and black men's crochet boutonniere from my Wuglyees shop!...

       Talk about good relations, right?! ^_^ ... Thank you Tracy!! ... And there were some other cute items in there that I really liked too...

      Last, I just wanna show you the fingerless gloves. Yes! I finished them!! ^_^

       They're so tiny that I don't know who would be able to wear them though! LOL

      Reassure me.....Somebody will wear them, right?!.....RIGHT?! O_O

      If not, they'll be just one more thing in this house that needs to find a home! :-)) ... Speaking of which, we need to get our taxes done before we don't have a home to live in!! YIKES! LOL Do you like how I added that little reminder for myself right out of the blue?!! ^_^ Now I just have to remember it beyond the end of this post!! LOL

       Okay....I'm off to actually pay attention to my husband, and get some other things done too. Have a good weekend, Everybody! :-)

Black and White.......

      This fused bowl is beautiful. It kinda looks the way I was feeling this morning when I got up. But, unlike the bow...which is absolutely beautiful...I wasn't feeling beautiful! :-] I didn't sleep very well last night. We had rain and snow in our area yesterday...and I was feeling it....all....over...my...body! Therefore, it was a long, restless, sleepless, and painful night!

      This morning I was still hurting all over, but not the 'here we go again' kinda pain. It was more like the 'why were you trying to fight that 700 pound gorilla all by yourself last night' kinda pain. LOL I'm hoping that as the day wears on it'll ease up....We'll see!

       In the meantime, I had a Bible-based meeting this morning, and it helped clear away some of the mental cobwebs. :-) Now, I'm in the mood to wanna show you a couple of things! :-) ...One being a new treasury that my black and white men's boutonniere, from my Wuglyees Etsy shop, was put in...

         Such cute items are in it, including the bowl in the header photo....And this...my favorite of the treasury!...

     Aren't those beads pretty?! :-) What beautiful creations could be made with those beauties!...I won't be making them though! I've got my hands full with the beads I already have! And I've been so involved with my boutonnieres, buttons and crocheting that I haven't even thought about doing anything with my beads!!...Can you say 'Mad Boutonniere-Making woman'?!!! ^_^

      But what I was working on yesterday wasn't a boutonniere. It was a fingerless glove!...

        I started it because I came across a pattern that I wrote up a while back, for a pair of custom ordered lacy fingerless gloves...

       ...I could almost see those gloves in my mind's eye, made out of this pretty golden hay colored soft yarn...

      ....and I just had to start making them!!!.....I HAD TO!! ^_^ 

      So that's what's on my agenda today. Fingerless gloves, clearing of the mind, and tending to this old rickety body! :-)) UGH!...Just when I've gotten past the angst of my teenage stupidities,...the distractions and fantasies of my young adulthood,...the stark realities of every day living in my 30s,...and the  drama of over-expectation in my 40s,....I mean, when I've finally gotten to the point in life where it all makes sense, and the ability to REALLY live my life with clarity and purpose!......my body puts up a 'Yield' sign...and my mind tries to follow it to a complete stop!!!!! Aargh! 

     It's not fair, I tell you!! LOL But at least I know it's not a permanent situation!...The Bible rightly says that 'faith is not a possession of all people', so I know that everybody doesn't believe what I'm about to say...and I can respect that...but I'm gonna say it anyway! LOL...."SOON...S-O-O-N!...God is gonna fix all this stuff and I'll be able to look forward to rain and busy schedules. I...Can't....WAIT!!!" ^_^ Oooooo! Where would I be without faith and something better to hope and look forward to?!!...Sooooo...this body and mind may not be in full working order right now...and stop laughing about it too! ^_^....but I do have faith....and I have it in abundance!!!  :-)

     Okay....Moving on! :-) ........Let me give a big whoop and holler about the 300 followers I have on the blog now!!! Welcome to each and every one of you!!! In honor of my thankfulness, next month's Giveaway will finally be that afghan blanket I've been talking about!!! :-) After I give away this month's book of poems it'll be ON!!!! Before I Learned The Bible

Before I learned the Bible,
all my life was just a fog,
that consisted of 'Soap Operas'
and me eating like a hog!

Jeff would leave for work real early.
I would sleep til almost noon.
I would watch T.V. til four.
Every day the 'same old tune'.

Unhappy with my marriage,
with myself, and with my life,
was my constant state of being
as Jeff's nagging, cranky wife.

But then one day there came a knock-
The house was dark; The shades were drawn.
"Jehovah's Witnesses!" I said,
"But Ryan's Hope is coming on!"

It was a woman who was nice.
She started preaching at the door.
She showed me scriptures from the Bible
I had never seen  before.

I got excited, and I read
everything she left for me.
I started studying the Bible.
I had finally found the key.

I couldn't help but share with Jeff
all the new truths I had found.
He now saw his cranky wife
wear a smile, and not be down.

The Bible helped our marriage too;
There was more time we spent together;
And as we worked to make a change,
there was more love for one another.

Next year it will be twenty!-
Twenty years of serving God.
Looking back at where we started
kind of feels a little odd.

Sleeping til noon, and eating food-
these things were what I called 'The Rival'
to my Really living life-
But that's before I learned the Bible.

I learned to love Jehovah God
more than the choices I had made;
And now I'm happy with my life-
I think it was a real good trade!     

Here's Your Key For The Flight Of The Bumblebee!

         I've got some 'Scrabble' and breakfast eating to do this morning, so I'm not gonna be here 'yapping' long. I just wanted to share a couple of things...one being my Funky Clowning Around Key Chain (in the header photo). It was chosen...and I am truly flabbergasted as to why! LOL...for a treasury.
    The treasury is entitled With Key...Oh, that's probably why! ^_^ Okay...so I'm a little slow this morning!

      Just kidding. :-] I said I didn't know why because if you look at the treasury everything else in there looks so serious, and then.....my pink, blue and yellow giggle-fest of a key chain is thrown in there! It just seems like it's hanging out in the wrong neighborhood. ^_^ ...But hey! who am I to argue!...Thank you, Danfe!
       The other quick thing I wanted to share is my 'almost' completely finished yellow, gray and black wrist warmer/ fingerless gloves! :-)

        I'm sure that not everybody is gonna appreciate my...'interesting'...color choices...

        But then.......everybody doesn't have to! ^_^ I like 'em!

Eclectic Tastes

I've got eclectic tastes.
Yes I do! That's what I said!
I'm not afraid of being different,
Country raised and city bred.

If it's pretty, then I'm in,
but just as fast I can be out,
because I don't like what the hoopla
about some things is all about!

I think different can be cool,
in many colors, not just white.
And not just worn by 'one such person',
with a body shape just right.

It's good to have 'eclectic' tastes,
and to just be who 'you' are!
But be careful, because 'eclectic'
quickly can become 'Too Far'!!
