Finally...Some Good 'Crochet' News!!

      I've been in a sad mood about my Wuglyees Etsy shop for quite a while now. I haven't been talking about it because who wants to hear me whining every single day of my life about some un-sold yarn?! LOL NOT ME!!!
      But hubby came home with some great news today, and I'm about to bust at the seams while I'm sitting here typing!! ^_^ ...Before I get into it though, let me tell you that what you're looking at in these photos is my latest finished endeavor. :-)
      It's a children's size circular scarf and mittens. ♥ 
 

      I made them with the 'Oceana' Caron Simply Soft paints yarn. :-) It's my favorite thing to crochet with right now...the 'paints' yarn I mean. :-)

      Okay!...my news!!! :-) Hubby has been carrying a box of my scarves with him everywhere! He sold two scarves over the weekend, and he has a promise to sell at least two more pair on Friday!...But that's not the news! :-)
 

      The news is that he showed my scarves, and passed out business cards to my wuglyees shop, to the staff at the facility he drives for, and today the facility supervisor told him that they would like to have a craft show at the facility featuring my crochet items!!!! :-)

      Isn't that wonderful!!!! ^_^If I didn't have so much product around here already I might be a little nervous! But I could probably supply my own crochet shop with items for a long time right now!! :-)) And I'm still crocheting every day!!

      I'm not exactly sure when they're planning to do the show. The details are yet to be worked out. But it's still VERY exciting!! :-) I just have to figure out what items to focus on making more of in the meantime....Hmmmm O_O ... Any suggestions, Y'all?!!
      

      Oh, I'm sure I'll think of something!! LOL ... By the way, I'd like to say a big 'THANK YOU!!' to my friend who is also now my personal care assistant. She made me up a flyer on her computer yesterday, full of the crochet items from my shop, with my website address and beautifully colorful pictures and butterflies and everything! ^_^ It was such a sweet thing for her to do, and I really appreciate it!! ♥♥♥
      Today hubby copied a bunch of them and has been going to different places around town and tacking them up! :-) It's nice to be loved and appreciated for who you are and what you do!! Yes! It really is!! :-)

      So, you can find me, for the next little while coming up, sitting quiet and crocheting my fingers to the bones, while listening to the new tv broadcasting website of Jehovah's Witnesses!! :-) I LOVE it!!!!! There's such good information on it, and such encouraging programming. WELL NEEDED in this day and time!!...And, of course, with me trying always to keep life a bit more 'smile-worthy', having this website makes it a lot easier!! ♥

On Pancake Sunday, We Have Flowers?!

    Yes, I know! There's not a pancake in sight! Instead we have more Flowers!! ^_^ I'll explain the real reason below...but let's just say for now that I couldn't help myself! ^_^ The colors just made me do it! LOL...Although part of the reason was the satisfaction with myself that I actually finished the crochet brooches I was working on, and I wanted to show them off!! ^_^

     And so that it's not a total self-involved endeavor, I decided to show off some of the other flower maker's flowers too!... :-) ...color for color...sorta!

      Trina's cute red 'baby' is in the header photo...and me and VanCocoaDesigns colorful 'babies' will be interspersed below...starting with 'my' red 'baby from my Wuglyees shop on Etsy! :-) ...

    These beautiful blue 'babies' below are paper!! :-) And are 'as cute as all get out'!!  ^_^ I had to use an old southern expression to show my love for them. Sorry. LOL

      Now, flowers are never a bad thing to talk about on a Sunday morning...or any morning, for that matter! ^_^ But the real reason I'm talking about flowers, and not pancakes, is because....uhhhhh...we didn't have any pancake mix to make pancakes this morning! LOL...SOMEBODY...who shall remain nameless, forgot to go to the store and get it!....Yeah, the nameless one!!...but I think you know who I mean!!! *wink! wink!* ^_^

     Thankfully the nameless one still cooks a 'mean' (great!) breakfast anyway!! So I'll just stretch out his forgetfulness into a hot sausage and some grits, and parlay that into a homemade cheesecake later today!! ^_^

         Cheesecake.......pancakes........cheesecake.......pancakes?!.....CHEESECAKE please!!!!

Turtles, Hummingbirds, And Flowers!

     If you recognize the dressed up turtle in my header photo, then you already know that my turtles aren't of the regular 'in-the-water', on-the-land', snapping turtle variety! ^_^ But more about that in a minute.
      First I have to tell you that, as of this weekend, the hummingbirds are back!!!! :-) What a joy to see them darting and flitting in the backyard again! :-) And with the azalea bush and the tree flowering at the same time.....LOVE!!! :-) ...
 

     But, unfortunately, I wasn't feeling so great this weekend, so my aching body and compromised immune system made the enjoyment of my beautiful hummingbirds and flowers a little down-played....but not much. Because I still have a heart...and eyes! :-) And also I have taste buds!...Why am I talking about taste buds, you ask?!...Because hubby, in order to give me something nice to remember about this weekend...besides our 'virtual' trip to Nicaragua on Friday :-) ... brought home a little gift for me!...turtles!! :-) ...
 

     Yep! Chocolate and caramel and pecan-filled turtles!!! :-) YUM!!!!! So besides the aches and pains, it was a weekend full of flowers and turtles, with a flitting, darting hummingbird thrown in here and there! :-)
 

     It was a great weekend! :-) And a little tasty and 'ouchy'! All in all...not bad!! ^_^ I hope you had a good weekend too...without the 'ouchy' part. ^_^ And I hope the same holds true for this new week...for all of us!! Have a good one! :-)

Ready For The Monday Flower Ride?!

      Hello, Y'all! :-) Guess what?!...It's Monday...A-G-A-I-N! ^_^ Time to put all of the plans you were planning to plan to put together...together! LOL...I'm planning to put some plans together too. But nothing too involved or serious...because I'm still tired from the weekend!

      No, I'm not tired because we did anything spectacular over the weekend that would make me tired...unless you call watching that 'tired' looking 'moof' up on top of my hubby's head disappear by way of a much needed hair-cut...doing something spectacular!!...which I wouldn't! ^_^

       I don't call hair removal 'spectacular'...especially not in my hubby's case. He didn't have that much to start with!...sorry honey! ^_^ ...and the small amount he had was much thicker and...how shall I say this?....strategically placed on his head in certain areas! LOL It was highly necessary to cut it, to even it all out...if you know what I mean!! LOL

     

      Anyway!...Moving on! :-) ...The beautiful weather we had around our area this weekend 'was' something spectacular! :-) It made you wanna find a beach, a barbecue, or somewhere to pick some pretty flowers!...*Achoo!*...Okay...I'm not going ANYWHERE to pick flowers!!...even if I am a fan of color!!!...

      And, of course, I'll be 'making' a few flowers too!...Crochet flowers! :-) I sold a few over the weekend. One even went out of the country!!! That hasn't happened since USPS changed their prices!!...By the way, I usually send a couple of my crochet flowers to the area of the U.K. for less than $4 or $5 dollars. The cost now?....over $9!!! O_O Is it any wonder that those with online shopping venues are having a slow spell?!

      Okay...off I go! I gotta catch a ride on a flower ! :-) Have a good Monday, and week, everybody!
