      Well, as you can see, I finally got the photos done! Although I'm still not completely pleased with them. We have a kind of snow sky today. The light out is diffused and a bit on the dark side.

      I do like the hat though! ^_^ It kinda reminds me of the flapper hats of the 1920s! :-)
 

      I hope someone else besides me likes it!! ^_^
 

      The beaded brooch is fabulous!! I was almost not sure if my hat was the best place for it. But.....Oh well, it's on there now! And securely too! ^_^

      As the weather men promised, the rain came in overnight....and it kept coming.....and coming! It rained all morning today, right into the afternoon. It's still coming down full-force right now, and is suppose to continue until after 8p.m.!!! O_O...Ugh! It's been dark skies and chilliness all day! Thanks, Mr. Rain!!! Grrrrr!

      That's why the beautiful beam of sun coming up over the lavender field in the header photo I'm sharing today caught my eye!...Thank you, Etsy shop owner! :-)

      When I saw this owl case (above), my mind went into "You-Think-You're-So-Funny!' mode. Why?...Because the first thing I thought was: "How cute!! Now, with it in this case, if your phone rings, you can think: 'Who...?' and look at your phone and see: 'Hoo' it is!!" :-)) ... Okay!...so it wasn't that funny!! ^_^ But it 'is' cute!!

      I finished a black scarf early this morning, and I'm working on a black hooded cowl wrap right now. Then it'll be baby hats galore! :-] ... 'Big Head' baby hats! LOL I found out yesterday that a two-year-old toddler's head is 90 % the size of what it will be as an adult!!! O_O AMAZING!!!!...And my facebook friends agreed with this!!! ^_^ ...Well... it explains a lot!.....For instance, the reason they're called 'toddlers'!! LOL The size of that head could be the reason they're toddling!!!!......well......I'll leave the rest of the conversation about that right there! ^_^ But.....you can continue among yourselves if you want to!!! LOL

      Me and hubby joke all the time about our 'wobbly-headed' children...children that we don't have now, but that we just know would be 'wobbly-headed' if we had any!! LOL...And don't you dare laugh at our would-be children's inheritance of our big heads either!!!! LOL...I'm just gonna put an extra inch or two on those crocheted baby hats from now on!! LOL

Middle Of The Week 'This' And 'That'!

      Welcome to the middle of the week! Woohoo! ^_^ That's all I got today. It's Wednesday. Tomorrow will be Thursday, and then Friday will follow that. WOOHOO!!! LOL

      I shouldn't be so silly about it, but seriously...how do I talk without complaining. Chat, without ranting about things that annoy me. Or converse, without bringing everybody down?!...Uhhhh...I'll try this!...

      ...Ooooo! A butterfly!......ring! ^_^ Yep! I feel good now. How about you?! ^_^ And to continue the good mood, and not think about the rain and snow we might get here tomorrow....UGH!...how about some cute things I saw on Etsy! :-) ...

      I left the sports cookies for last because I wanted to tell you about how desperate I am to look at sports!...I went to bed early last night...it's a long 'itchy' story. Ugh!...but because I did, I was sure I missed the Red Sox game last night! O_O

      So, I was up at a ridiculously early time this morning...mainly because of the itching, but still!!...and I decided to turn the television on and find out who won the game...game 6 of the world series! (baseball) 

      Cut...to me channel surfing for an hour, trying to find some baseball game updates...By the way, did you know that if you get up to the high channel numbers on your cable station dial there's a listing of all kinds of sports?! O_O Some of it in languages from all over the world?!...I didn't know that!....But there still was no update for the Red Sox game! O.O

       Yeah!....now I know!!!....There was NO GAME last night!!! UGH!!!...And if the Cardinals don't get off the airport runway tarmac there might not be a game tonight either! LOL *shaking my head* I hope they do!! O_O I need to have something to distract me when I wake up in the middle of the night tonight!! ^_^

      I've said it before, but 'getting old ain't for sissies'!!!!!!!...sleeplessness...menopause....arthritis....memory loss....fading eye-sight....loss of hearing....hair growing in unusual places, and other hair falling out in other places!!...Not to mention that few strands you have left after all of that...turning gray! O_O

      I digress!....let's just all get on with it today, shall we! :-) Me, I'll be getting on with this...

"Don't you want to donate Something?!"

        This little cutie, a baby tiger I think, came in the mail the other day, along with some other little cuties...

        ...a baby duckie...

         ...a baby bear.....

       ...and a little baby puppy!
      Now how could I possibly look at those little faces and not respond, right?!....Respond to what?! These little guys were the icons all up and down a FREE writing pad I was sent by one of the B-I-G charity organizations.
      But now I'm in a dilemma...Do I buckle to the pressure of the FREE incentive, the cute little writing pad...{that, as a poet, I LOVE, because it's a quick and cute place to jot down a line or two}...or do I just mentally say 'Thank You' for the donation Mr. B-I-G charity organization, but I won't be donating this time...because it's not like I asked them to send it to me...and chock it up to a nice gesture on their part that I'm truly thankful for?!
     I'm sure I'm not the only one that this has happened to, I'm sure. But I'm feeling like like someone is trying to 'muscle me' into giving, when I didn't have giving to this charity on my mind!...Don't get me wrong, I think this charity is amazing! In fact, I'm impressed with their work...and with their dedication to rustling up donations! But I'm not feling good about it because I'm being 'coerced' kinda. O_0
        I would have liked to have seen something they had done for someone and said to myself: "Wow! That's wonderful!! I think I'll call right now and give them a donation for this...or that!"...But I'm not getting the chance to do that, because they're pressuring me with their FREE incentives!

      Come on, Mr. B-I-G charity Organization, just for me, do some great commercials, let the work you've done for people be widely known, share the individual's stories that you've helped on some of the worldwide talk shows, or something...and give me the opportunity to write a check...from my heart...and put one of my pretty flower stamps on it, and feel good about the way my little donation is gonna go off into the world and do some good for someone!
      If I write a check now....which I still might...I'm not gonna feel good about it. I'm gonna feel like I was pressured....ESPECIALLY because this little writing pad wasn't the only thing I was sent!....I was also sent a whole slew of address labels....pretty ones too!...with 'MY' address on them!!....I would show you, but I don't know everyone of you 'like that'!...Ha! Ha!
     Has this ever happened to any one of you?! That you were sent a bunch of address labels with your name and address on them, from a charity organization....FREE...with a letter of encouragement that you give them a donation?!...The letter even suggestion three different amounts I could 'generously' donate 'IF I LIKED'.
     I'd rather just be going along in life, like these doggies from the blog The Daily Muse...

      ...oblivious to the worries of the world. Just letting life go by and blowing wind in my face! LOL
       Instead, I'm like the mourning dove from the blog Scotty's Place.....

       .....I'm in my nest,...minding my own business......a 'sitting duck'!,...so to speak,...for all of the promotions, advertisements, and incentives that are flying into my mailbox from charity organizations, local businesses,....and acquaintances in need of a little"'somethin' somethin' "!! LOL
        Please don't get the wrong impression. I'm a very giving kind of gal! [In fact, you can check the side bar right now for info on the new GIVEAWAY for July 15, 2011!! {It's hubby's idea this time. :-)}] I just don't like to be 'muscled', 'coerced', or 'pressured' into it!!...Although I 'do' like the FREE stuff!!...*sigh* It's a dilemma!
     

        Anyway!....I'm off to do some other kind of giving this morning...the 'fruit of my lips'! LOL ... Have a good day and weekend everybody!!

Watermelon Is Only The First.....!

      I had my first piece of watermelon yesterday. YUM! YUM! It was delicious too!

      Frankly, I didn't think it was gonna be that good, because that's been my experience with watermelon in this area, at this time of year! When I was about to take a bite I thought more about how refreshed and hydrated I would be...especially after all that sleeping I did yesterday!!

    But I was surprised and delighted to find that it was wet....YES! LOL...But also sweet and scrumptious to boot! ^_^
     Okay, enough watermelon talk!...I have to tell you a couple of things. First, in case you haven't seen it already, I now have a special post area set up for whenever I have a GIVEAWAY. (Which will continue to be 2 times a month) If you look on the right side bar you'll see the picture of whatever will be the GIVEAWAY, and the link will now always take you to "GIVEAWAY Central".
     "GIVEAWAY Central" is not a place to post comments or entries, but it's a place for all of the pictures and info about whatever GIVEAWAY I'll have going at the time. I thought this would be simpler than having you have to scroll down and find the item being given away in amongst my chatter! LOL What do you think?! {The GIVEAWAY for May 15th is posted there now!}
     Next, I want to tell you that the Yoyo bag begins today!! I'm still trying to mentally figure out what colors are gonna go where, but generally-speaking these are the ones I'm using...

      I don't know if I'll end up using all of them, or which ones will be beside which ones. But I'm READY for this!!! I'm excited about having something crochet-wise to sink my teeth into. Not for my Wuglyees shop though...My poor, sad, cricket listening, slowed down, no sales producing, no-traffic-this-time-of-year-getting, Wuglyees shop! :-(
     And I'm not listing nothing else in there right now either! I'm not in the mood for rejection right now. And I'm not in the mood for running back and forth from Twitter to Facebook, from Facebook to my shop, from...etc....just to check and see if anybody is looking at my stuff!! Right now I want to take the mindset of "I know my work is good. But I also know my work is not for everybody. That being said, I'm not chasing after anybody with a "desperate" sign on my forehead any more right now! If they think it's a "bigger mousetrap"....so to speak...let them beat a path to my door! If not, C'est la vie!!" ......O_0 Too much?!!!
     WHATEVER!!!! LOL

      At least Mintook kinda likes my work! :-) {Her shop was one of the ones with the lace covered rocks!} She added my Purple Chic Chenille Crochet Scarf...

         ...to her Treasury entitled My Favorites Colors In My Garden.
