It's All A Little Fuzzy!

      Hello Strangers! :-) Assuming there's anybody still out there reading my 'sometimey' dribble! LOL Well, for anyone still interested...YES! I 'am' still alive! ^_^ I haven't been blogging, but I have been busy!...AND HOW!!

     I've been doing a whole lot of custom ordered crochet work for some very loyal customers. Most of it I can't talk about...yet! But hopefully soon I'll be able to tell you all about it. :-) What I can tell you is that I finally got a week or two to give my fingers a reprieve...and then I got some more custom orders!! ^_^

     No, the fuzzy slippers weren't part of the custom work! ^_^ They were my first new project in a while to put in my shop! {If you're interested in them, you can click on any of the photos to purchase them...if you're a member of Etsy I mean. :-)
 

      I'm actually working on a large afghan and ten pairs of slippers right now. Yes, at the same time! ^_^ 

       And I have lots of other custom work waiting in the wings! And considering what a dry year it was last year, I'm thankful to see this year starting off with a 'BANG!' :-)
 

      Otherwise, there's a whole lot of little things, and a few big things, going on in my personal life. Not stuff I care to talk about! But, hubby and I are still alive and kicking and our faith is intact, my crochet fingers and his new job are holding up well, and Spring is right around the corner. WOOHOO!!! ^_^ That's as much as matters for now!
 

      My memory is sometimes still as fuzzy as my new slippers, so I'm sure there's something I'm not mentioning!.....Uhhhh...if I remember any time soon, I'll be back! LOL Otherwise, have a good week, Everybody. And keep up the good work!! ^_^ Now...a poem and a goodnight! ♥

I Think I Need To...

I think I need to change things up,
flip the script, change direction;
I don't want to lose my love
for that which I have so much affection?

I think I need some brand new eyes,
to see things a different way.
Because the way that I've been seeing
really isn't gonna pay.

I think, because it's me, I need
some creative inspiration.
Some sketches, markers, ball point pens,
and some Disney animation.

I think that this may take some time.
It seems a lot for me to do.
So, maybe I should change my mind.

YAY!...The Blue And White Shawl Is Done!

      Hello!...I'm taking a detour away from pancakes this morning. :-) Two reasons. One, I didn't have pancakes this morning. I had leftover steak, grits and eggs. Eggs, courtesy of the 'chicken sitter'. ^_^ He gets paid in fresh eggs and love. ♥
      The other reason is because I finally finished my crochet blue and white shawl and I wanna show it off!! ^_^ ...
 

       It's not the easiest shawl in the world to photograph! It's big...and warm...and BIG!! :-] ...
 

      I can't imagine what it's gonna be like to photograph the black and white one. O_O It should be finished later today. Hopefully we'll have just as good weather as we did this morning, and photographing it doesn't end up being a problem!

      Tomorrow I'll be starting another one. But it's gonna be made with my beloved Portuguese thread! :-) And it's gonna be a wedding shawl! :-) It's gonna be more intense I'm sure...and more time consuming. But my boutonnieres aren't keeping my attention these days, so I have to move on to what will! 

      I'm still gonna be making my crochet flowers...FOR SURE! :-) But I have a ton of men's boutonnieres and women's brooches already made. So I'll just be listing them in the shop from time to time...and taking some of the others off of the 'expired' list too! O.o Let's just say...I'm not gonna be running out of product to share in my shop any time soon! :-]

      Okay...I'm off to finish the black and white shawl...and get ready for the meeting. (Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses) My hubby is cleaning and rearranging the house. He's making a library in the other room now. A place to read and do research and studying, without traipsing back and forth from room to room.
      Other than that.....it's Sunday!... :-) ...Pre-new-week, with another Friday at the end. :-) Enjoy!!! ♥

What A Difference A Day Makes...Red And Gray!

     Just for clarification purposes, when I'm talking...in the blog title...about something a day makes a difference in...I'm not talking about the beautiful earring and necklace set in the photo!...Although they were in a beautiful treasury that my friend Cindy curated yesterday, and her treasury did make a difference in my day...

      But what I was really talking about was the weather...Remember the photos I showed you yesterday of our foggy, rainy, snowed in backyard?!...

      Well...our temperatures rose yesterday...to the 60s!!!! O_O ...
 

      We were fogged in for quite a while, and then the fog lifted!...
 

      ...And then the rains poured down, and then...*blink, blink!*...the snow disappeared!!!...
 

      As of yesterday we had about 10 inches of snow on the ground, and this morning?!...
 

      No kidding!!...that's the backyard this morning!!!!...There's only a strip of snow left!!...
 

      So, as I said, what a difference a day makes! :-) ...
 

      I hope that by the week's end I'll be able to say the same thing about the week!!...I already got my date for when my medical tests will be taken...*deep breath*...I'll tell you how things are going as things progress...I'm keeping it positive!
      For right now, continuing on my theme of what a difference a day makes, I have to go and 'wrap-to-ship' some flower pins I sold last night!...I sold five!!!! :-)  It's been quite a few days since that happened!! ^_^
      So...enough about me!...How are YOU?!...How was your day yesterday?!...Was it different today?! ^_^ ... And, by the way, have a good rest of the day...no matter what!! ^_^ Keep it positive! ♥

Look What Popped Back Up!!

      If you didn't see my post the other day, about what happened when the thunderstorm 'pow powed' my backyard, this post will look like just a story about goldenrod. :-] Well...actually...that's what it is! A story about goldenrod! Ha! Ha!...
 

      ...and about bees who love goldenrod. :-) The bushes have been full to the brim with bees!!! In fact, if you look close at the photos you'll see them...
 

      I don't have a camera with close up enough to show you, but each bee looks like he has saddle bags hanging on his legs! Ha! Ha! ...Pollen...*cold shiver*...Ohhhh! The sneezing of my brains clear out of my head I would be doing if I was out there!!! ^_^ ...
 

      As you can see, the goldenrod that had been in a 'laying down' position, due to the thunderstorm 'sock-in-the-chin' it took, is now standing tall again...and thriving! :-) The bees are loving it too! But I don't think they're gonna last long, because our temperatures have changed drastically....*brrrr!*...I think you could even call the weather "brisk"...or... "chilly", especially early in the morning.
     I think Fall (Autumn) is finally gonna come...and stay! I can see clues all around now...not just the dropping temperatures either. Our lone hummingbird has been missing for a couple of days now...and the leaves on the trees in the area are starting to change to pretty golds and reds. :-]
      Pretty soon the only green that's gonna be left is the green in my Wuglyees shop! ^_^ Or should I say 'blue green'!...

     I just made these yesterday. I just realized I had this thread!...I don't know why I never made these before! I think they're a great 'manly' color, don't you?!

     As of today, I'm gonna be working on a couple of wedding sets in the shop. I'm thinking maybe a groom's boutonniere, 5 lapel pins, a ring bearer's pillow, and who knows what else! ^_^ I'm still mentally working on it! Ha! Ha!

      Right now I think I'm gonna work on getting me a few more Zzzzs! I woke up around 3:30 a.m. and haven't been able to go back to sleep!! Ugh! I just love my surges of hormones!!!!....N-O-T!!!! LOL

Do You Ever Wake Up Like This....?!

      I slept pretty good, soooooo...what's with the weird mood?! O_O I don't know! And by weird I mean calm, but low key. Rested, but not rambunctious. Thoughtful, but not aching for something to do. Not sad...or 'flat-lined'...but not really in a hurry to do anything. Kinda....Oh, I don't know.....'bleh!'

      No, there's nothing depressing going on or anything like that. Maybe it could be the aftermath of a whole week of stuff going on that's finally done though! You know...sorta like the calm before the storm...but afterward instead. ^_^

      But whatever the reason for the mood, it sure does make me notice some cool stuff when I'm looking around! :-) Take a look!...

I'm Starting To Feel Like A Pre-Cooked Lobster!!

      "Okay...what's up with the lobster, Wug?"...I know that's what you're thinking, right?! ^_^ Well, I'll tell you! ^_^ One...because it's so cute!...Two...because that's how I'm feeling this morning after waking up late.....or was it early?!....No. It was late!! LOL

       I feel like I'm just about to be in hot water...You know, like a lobster, just before dinner time! ^_^ I took one of my little 'naps' last night around 7 p.m., and woke up around 10 p.m.! O_O Yeah! That was 'some' nap!!

      Then I couldn't get back to sleep! So hubby and I watched some of the country music awards show, and made some crochet beaded keychains...

     Well, actually, hubby made them to give as free gifts to my customers....I was crocheting a couple of new lapel pins for my Wuglyees Etsy shop...

     I sold over 10 items this weekend!! Now I've got a list 'YAY' long of boutonnieres and lapel pins I have to replace!!...Speaking of which...and I hope my customer doesn't mind me telling you this...I got a 'convo' (Etsy email) from a customer who ordered a lot of boutonnieres...A LOT!! His convo made me smile. :-)

     He said that he was a dapper dude, and that on his daily commute, he sees a few other dapper dudes. Secretly, he says, they all compete with each-other (nods, smiles, head-shakes, approvals, etc.), but that usually he gets the most positive nods...because he wears the best pocket squares and scarves!
        But then he says 'All of a sudden, my biggest competitor shows up with these crochet boutonnieres and lapel pins!' He was like, "Oh no!" ^_^ He says they looked great! Now his biggest 'competitor' is the one that's been receiving the most nods since then!... Then he said: "So I can't wait for my beautiful boutonnieres to arrive." ^_^

      Now you know why I'm feeling like the boiling temperature has been turned up, right?! ^_^ ... Whew! Is it getting hot in here?! O_O

      Anyway! Back to what I was saying! LOL...I worked on my lapel pins, and then hubby and I went to bed...around 2:45 a.m.!!!...We just weren't sleepy!

       The next thing I knew it was 8 a.m.!! I had to...in no particular order...take my pill, take a bath, write my blog, crochet some boutonnieres, do my Bible reading and studying, have some breakfast, comb my hair,...*No! I'm not gonna go into the hair thing. I did that yesterday! LOL*...etc....and etc....and etc!!!!....BOILING!!!!

        So now that I've written that whole dictionary of words... ^_^ ...I can scratch one thing off of the list! ^_^
