      Sorry, but I'm not gonna be all 'chitty-chatty' today. It's my 'Virtual Date Night' and I'm saving all of my talking for my date! ^_^ Of course, there's not much I'm gonna talk about that he hasn't heard before...and I'm not sure he listens to much of it anymore anyway! :-)) ...but I'm gonna talk just the same! LOL And I may even listen sometime! ^_^

      Although where we're going could be kinda loud! O_O It was a toss up between our decided on destination, or Puerto Rico, or just staying at home and eating together. :-) ...

      I don't favor one team over the other. I just like to see good game play, and good sportsmanship. And have someone beside me that enjoys it as much as I do! :-) ...Goooooooooooooooooal!! :-))

      I suppose I could've fallen in love with a businessman, a cowboy, or a train conductor, or....well, anybody else! But I fell in love with a 'virtual date night' and sports loving van driver!! ♥ You love who you love!!! ^_^

Frozen!!

     This isn't a photo of one of my chickadees, from my backyard. This beautiful photo was taken by Ashley! :-) It's not for lack of trying on my part though. I've been trying to get a good photo of my little backyard chickadees since the first stiff frozen breeze blew into the backyard...but to no avail. They're too fast for me. :-)

      Speaking of frozen.....brrrrrr!....it's cold!!! O_O And we have snow, on top of snow, on top of snow!! And more on the way this afternoon!!!...The backyard is starting to look a bit like the frozen tundra!

     You know it's cold when icicles start forming on tree branches...

     ...and on the suet bird feeder!! ^_^

     Even the chain to the feeder had a layer of ice!! LOL
 

     This post was just about me lifting my head out from under the covers for a minute to sip on some chicken soup...*I had a little sore throat when I woke up*...and about me re-positioning myself for the afternoon snow storm that's coming!! ^_^
     I had lots of plans for the day...but now?....Nuttin'!! LOL I'm gonna get off this computer, rest my fingers, and throat, and hunker down next to my mister....*I love that big cuddle bunny* :-)) ...at least until he wanders away to do whatever it is he has to do! ^_^ I'll wish him well, and try to hurry him along too!...so that he doesn't cause too much cold air to get under my blanket!!! LOL

New Birth Of A Salesman

      Yep! I'm 'at it' again! ^_^ But this time the subject isn't Ramen noodles, or Soft N Dri deodorant, or any number of other silly things I've talked about on this blog! Today the subject is salesmen! :-) Or should I say 'one' particular salesman. :-] My husband!

     My mind, when I saw my hubby heading for the door this morning...dressed in his best suit,  and sporting one of my boutonnieres on his lapel...was suddenly full of a bunch of idioms and phrases, like...'Necessity is the mother of invention'...'There's a sucker born every minute'...'a penny saved is a penny earned'...'nothing ventured, nothing gained'...'just do it!' LOL 

      What's happening is that our funds are getting very sparse! O_O And, unfortunately, sustainable food and shelter isn't being given away free down at the corner drug store! ^_^ So we're doing some scrambling about different ways to make some quick cash!...and selling my boutonnieres to a bridal/wedding crowd is somewhere close to the top of the list! :-)

      So, hubby is gonna go around to some different bridal/tuxedo shops today and feel out the potential customer base. He has a box with some of my best-selling boutonniere and lapel pins, along with a bunch of business cards...I wish he had a salesman's case...something like this...

        I have one...but it's not leather. It's fabric. I think the leather would look so much more professional...I mean, I don't want him heading off to one of these fancy bridal places, with all of the gorgeous white gowns and black tuxedos hanging in the windows, carrying a plaid blue fabric tote, and looking like 'Ghetto Charlie'!! LOL

      I want him to look 'pulled together', professional, friendly...

     ...and looking like whatever he's carrying....they just HAVE to have some!!! ^_^

     This isn't his first stint in the sales department. He used to be a salesman for a famous knife company...but he didn't like it....At All!! He couldn't wrap his brain around why people would pay such exorbitantly high prices for cutlery!!...especially considering that his wife cuts potatoes and meat over the sink, and prefers to do all of her kitchen prep work with an unsharpened knife! LOL

     To his credit this morning though, he's actually excited to go to the bridal places carrying my boutonnieres and lapel pins! :-) That's a good husband for you...supportive to the end!...Or is it one of these situations where getting some food in his mouth, any way he can, is a stronger incentive than fear of rejection?!! ^_^ I choose to believe the former...That's a supportive wife for you!...a supportive wife, with a first class salesman/hubby on her hands! :-))

      I'll let you know how it goes! :-] ... In the meantime, I've got to get to crocheting!!!!! Suppose they want hundreds of them in a short period of time?! O_O YIKES! What am I getting myself into?!...I can hear my rainy day bones screaming already, can't you?! LOL...And who am I kidding anyway?!...hundreds!....Yeah, right!! ^_^ Oh Well, a girl can dream....and go crazy!!! LOL

It's Not Easy Being Green...Or Waking Up!

       I love it when I find something on Etsy that looks just like me! :-)) ... Yep! This cute little felt pin looks just like me this morning...all wide eyed...and green!...More correctly I should say that this is how I feel NOW. I didn't feel like that the first time I woke up, at 2:30-ish a.m., but I made the mistake of thinking I would lie back down and get a few more winks. You know, a little 'cat nap' after the big sleep! ^_^ I woke up at 8:00 a.m., and all out of sorts! 

       The truth is, I didn't feel that great when I went to bed last night. I had a pain in my tummy for some reason. I think that's why I woke  up so early. I haven't woke up early for a long time now! I've been sleeping pretty good...Well, 'pretty good' being for the 'long time' of about two weeks or so....That's what I call a long time, with my old lady sleep issues! ^_^

       Now I'm feeling all 'green'...and like I need to go back to bed, and reset the clock.  I'm so out of it that it feels like I woke up with Alice...in Wonderland somewhere! ^_^

      The only good thing is that I woke up to a sale in my Wuglyees shop!...

       I sold one of my crocheted 'sack' hats!...the white one.

     That was a good thing...even for a second time waking up! ^_^ ... Now I'm off to put my 'green', queasy, sleepy self to some kind of good. And Oh Yeah, I "do" have stuff to do!!!! As a matter of fact I'd better write it down before I forget some of it!...Where's my green pencil?! ^_^

It's Our 30th Wedding Anniversary, So Forgive ME....

     I'm not gonna be around any more today. Hubby and I have plans together. It's our 30th wedding anniversary! :-) ...30years!!!!! I can hardly believe it!!!...I woke up to these...

        They are absolutely beautiful!!...

       Even the vase they're in is beautiful!! :-]

    Me, to husband this morning: "Happy Anniversary, Bae! You're a good man, Charlie Brown!" :-) I've been loaded up with kisses...What else are we doing today?!...

     Shhhhh!...He doesn't know what it is yet. Boy, is he gonna be surprised!! ^_^ I'll share with you tomorrow...Shhhh!!!!!

      Well, I assume it's gonna be hot and greasy! ^_^ We're getting breakfast delivered to us as an anniversary gift from a friend. I can't wait to see what it is!!!...Knowing her, it's gonna be something we probably shouldn't be eating, but are gonna devour because it's so good!! LOL

      Okay....who are we kidding?! This is me and my Mr. Man! Sports is gonna be on somewhere...at some time...today! ^_^
