Have You Ever Had A 'NAP-CATION'?!!

      "Hellooooooo!...*echo returns*...Is anybody awake out there besides me?!" O_O I did it again, Y'all! I went down for what I thought was gonna be 'a little nap' and...uhhhhh...almost missed my 'virtual date night' all together!!

      I guess I was more tired than I thought, huh?! ^_^ I felt bad for hubby though. He came home from work...tired too...but ready for our date...and found me clad in sheets and blankets up to my neck, eyes peacefully closed, and my C-Pap machine humming!! LOL 

      He said he didn't know what to do. Should he wake me up from my peaceful slumber and tell me to get ready for our 'virtual' trip abroad, or should he climb into the bed next to me and go to 'dreamland' with me! ^_^ ... 'Nap-cation' it was!!!! ^_^

      It was a wonderful date night!! :-) ... But now it's 2:49 a.m. and I'm WIDE AWAKE!!! O_O Ugh!....Hormones!...Hubby is still in 'dreamland'...mouth open and eyelids fluttering...and here I am...well, me and the music channel...*70s music*...humming along to familiar songs from my teenage years, and blogging! :-)

      Oh well, since I'm here...I might as well share some of the things that caught my eye on Etsy lately!...

But a little stay at home,
under covers, lock and key,
can also be expansive.

I Need A Hat For Today's Virtual Date! :-)

      I usually try to be all coy and everything about where we're hubby and I will be going on our Friday night virtual date. But not today! :-) We're heading to France...Roland Garros to be exact. And you know why too, if you read my blog, that is! ^_^ 

      The French Open tennis tournament is heading into the round of sixteen, and we don't want to miss the next few matches! :-) It's already been a WOW!-fest at the French Open, with the numbers one, two, and three, on the women's side...OUT!! O_O Serena Williams, Li Na, and Agnieszka Radwan'ska are all gone!...It's the first time in the open era that all three of the top seeded players were gone before the round of sixteen!!

      I still have my eyes on a couple of players on the women's side...Maria Sharapova, Sloane Stephens, Sara Errani, and Garbine Muguruza to be exact. :-) ... And, of course, you know whose keeping my eye on the men's side of the draw: MY 'BABY BOY'! ^_^ That would be Rafa Nadal for those who don't know!! LOL Although with Roger Federer, Novak Djokovic, David Ferrer, Donald Young, Andy Murray, John Isner, Jo-Wilfried Tsonga, and Gael Monfils all still in it, it's gonna be a great tournament anyway you cut it!! ^_^ ... And because the weather is pretty good in France...with occasional bouts of rain (the same as it's been here!)...I'm definitely gonna pack a hat or two! ^_^

      Other than snacking while I'm packing, watching tennis, and also watching the hummingbird battle the backyard wind...like a ♫ sparrow in a hurricane! ♫ (remember that song?! ^_^)...I'm not doing much else right now. With the wind tossing around, and the rain falling, it's hard to believe that just a few short hours ago my backyard looked like this...

      It was sunny and bright, and the lawn guys were having a good time trying to tame my backyard grass, while not disturbing the flowers!...

      Awwwwww!.....Sun! :-)

      But since we can't have sun all the time, we have to waste our time listening to good music, watching tennis, or eating good stuff! :-) ...

Even if it wasn't Friday in Massachusetts, I'd be looking for a virtual shuttle, bus, train, boat, airplane, or rickety scooter outta here!!... ^_^ ...because we've got tons of cold...and frozen!...snow still on the ground, and the temperatures are in the single digits this morning! O_O ... Can you say 'Where's The Heat?!!' ^_^ 

       But it 'is' Friday! :-) ... and all of the above is still true!! LOL I'm online checking flights...Costa Rica...hmmmm...74 degrees...Not hot enough!! :-) ... Oh well...I'll figure out something!...There can't be snow everywhere, can there?!!

'Virtual Friday' Date...And Checkup UP-date!!

      Happy Friday, Everybody! :-) Or at least I 'hope' it's a happy Friday for you!...Considering what my Thursday was like, Friday...Oh Yeah!...it's just gotta be happy!!...It's just GOTTA!!! O_O

      My Thursday consisted of cold...brrrr!...aching joints...OUCH!...and an unexpected visit with the doctor. O_O No!...I was not expecting to have to 'see' the doctor. I had expected that when I called his office to get the results of my bloodwork, I'd get the results of my bloodwork!...and that's all!! O_O ...

      Who knew that, even though I was told that everything seemed normal as to my blood levels, he would still want to talk to me?! O_O *gulp!* ... Apparently the things that are happening to me, in this old tired body, are making the doctor scratch his head a little...He doesn't know why a complete 'crazy woman' itching incident is then followed by...***sorry. I have to say it***...clots!...Sometimes LARGE ones! O_O

      I assumed it had something to do with me going through the change (Menopause), and wasn't too concerned about it, but apparently one thing doesn't necessarily have anything to do with the other! O_O 

      Apparently my telling him about the clotting had him more concerned about whether I was anemic, but my blood levels were fine! O_O ... So, "What shall we do, Doc?...Just wait and see?!"...His answer?!...."Uhhhhhhh...let me see you."...

      So, later in the day, there was a doctor visit, some checking of this, and checking of that, an attempt at taking my blood pressure with a broken blood pressure cuff. ^_^ Nothing major. Just me fooling with the doctor when the little needle fell out of the middle of his dial on the blood pressure machine! LOL

      He was so embarrassed. ^_^ But, needless to say, I was concocting a blog post about it in my head the whole time it was happening!! ^_^ ...

       It was so funny watching him screw the casing off, pick up the little needle, check it out closely under the light, flip it over, left and right, put it back in the center...and try to screw it back in...around and around...using his thumb like a pair of flat pliers!! LOL

      Then he turned it until the needle pointed to zero...like it's suppose to do! O_O...screwed the casing back on, put the blood pressure cuff around my arm, squeezed the air pressure bulb to make the cuff blow up, and......NOTHING!!!! LOL The needle totally didn't move AT ALL!! ^_^ 

      He said: "Hmmm...I just used it yesterday! O_O".....Me, totally cracking up laughing inside, and in the mood to mess with the doctor, said: "WOW! How high was the person's blood pressure that you used it on yesterday?!" LOL...

      At that point we both started laughing!..."Got him!!" LOL...Even a serious doctor doesn't have a chance when I'm in the mood to feel better!! ^_^

      Speaking of feeling better, let me stop right here and tell you about the lovely and sweet gift and note I got from a dear friend yesterday. She knows that I've been having some health challenges lately, so she sent me a 'feel better' gift...a little gift tote bag...which I forgot to take a photo of. ^_^

      The tote wasn't the really special gift anyway. It was the 'words' she sent! :-) ...

     There was also...in among the words...a cute photo of her kittens!! :-) ...

      Then...more loving and encouraging words! ;'_'; ...

      Yes, my dear friend...♥♥♥...your words made me smile! :-) ... and so did the flower that you stuck to the letter!!!! :-) ...

      I have great friends, don't I?!! ♥

      Okay...back to the doctor visit...he checked my skin. He checked my heart. He checked my eyes...my circulation...my pulse...my oxygen levels (with a pulse oximeter that reminded me of crochet row counters! LOL)...

      In the end, he decided that, while most things are great, he's still slightly concerned about a couple of other things. So, I'm gonna have some more testing done soon...*sigh*...Bring on the machinery!!!...Ugh!

      I'm sure that whatever machinery he finally decides on...ultrasound...MRI...etc...it's not gonna have pretty flowers all over it...like these pretty flowers I found on Etsy that you can put on your stethoscope! :-) ...
