For Me, It's A Day For Eating, Crocheting, Talking, Etc.

      Okay...so I don't have much to talk about today. I'm lazing around, eating peanut butter chocolate chip coconut almond cookies, chatting with hubby, watching old movies, sipping on green tea, eating french fried sweet potatoes and pork rinds, and crocheting! Ahhhhhhhh...it's a very good day! ^_^
      So, forgive me if the banter here on the blog is kinda random and short, okay! LOL I just wanted to show you the large button brooch I just finished yesterday...

      ...and the hooded circle infinity scarf I just put it on! :-)
 

      In case anybody is interested in it...and in case anybody who doesn't celebrate Christmas is even online right now! ^_^...I just thought I'd let you know that it's listed in my Wuglyees Etsy shop HERE. :-)

      Lastly, the only other thing I'm doing today, besides eating, talking, and watching old movies, is working on the 'ugly wuglyee' blanket I'm making for a little friend of mine. :-] ...
 

      And yes, it is for a child's bed. ^_^ No adult has the strength of character to put something as fabulously primary-colored as this in their bedroom!! ^_^

      Let's face it, most adults don't have the strength of character enough to even crochet something as fabulously primary-colored as this!! LOL...

We Both Know August Is....GONE!!...............Hello September!! :-)

      Can you believe how fast the time is flying?!!! O_O I mean, I know I've been busy this month, but WOW!! Tomorrow will be the first day of September already!!...And no...the header photo is not from my backyard! ^_^ It was a gift photo from a fellow Etsian, Tamara. ♥
      
      Fall, or Autumn, is coming fast!!! I can already see the leaves dying on the branches as they blow around in the wind. NOT VERY PRETTY! LOL...But the colors that are coming soon WILL BE pretty!! ^_^ In fact, my latest crochet hat and brooch set has a kind of Fall/Autumn color pallette! :-)

      Well, they 'ain't no pancakes'!! LOL And that's what I'm suppose to be woofing down right about now, right?!! ^_^ Unfortunately, pancakes aren't on the menu today. Hubby is chicken-sitting for our friends again today, so eggs are on the menu! ^_^
      I guess I should be more precise and say hubby is chicken-sitting AND chicken-wrangling today! :-)) Somehow.....they got out!!! Ha! Ha! He has to 'wrangle them doggies' back into the yard....away from the neighbor's yards! O_O ... He is having waaay too much fun with those chickens!! LOL

Hummingbirds And Flowers!

      Hummingbirds and flowers! :-) In other words...Hello! ^_^ Isn't that a beautiful porcelain set?! (in the header photo) I saw it and knew right away that I was gonna share it here on the blog...in lieu of any 'real' hummingbirds and flowers from my backyard!...because we don't have any yet! ^_^

      Well, that's not entirely true...about the flowers, I mean. We do have some 'straggly-looking' flowers...probably weeds! LOL...coming up on the top of the hill of the backyard. I'll see if I can get hubby to take some photos of them so I can show you. I'm not going out there!! O_O I'm already feeling the effects of my allergies starting up for the season. Ugh!

      Other thana couple of items from Etsy that caught my eye, I don't have much to share today...except the progress of my baby blanket! :-) It's slow-going, but it's coming along!...

      I'm ready to be working on the edging already! ^_^ I'm afraid it may be a while before that happens though! 

      I do have something else going on. I have a couple of new projects for my 'To Do' list. I have some labeling to do of my boutonnieres and lapel pins...for quick retrieval. Up until now I've been just keeping all of the similar colors in the same bin. But I ordered some small clear bags so that I can put each pin in it's own individual...labeled!...packaging! :-) That way they'll be a lot easier to find when someone orders them! :-]
      It's no 'BIGGIE", but what can I say?...I'm easy to excite about nothing much! LOL ... Oh Yeah, speaking of easy to excite!...look at this gorgeous-colored dress I saw on Etsy!...

A Colorful Monday!

          It's another beginning to another week! Let's make it a colorful week, okay!...Not colorful like the news this morning! Yikes! O_O ...People really tense and angry about the lack of power still in New Jersey...Nerves on end in the long gas lines..Nascar racers fist fighting on the track...houses blowing up in the middle of a neighborhood for no explainable reason...and people who are suppose to be of good moral character, behaving badly! O_O No, we don't want to be THAT colorful!!

      Let's bring it down a notch...to the material color...

     ...to the cutest little practical brooch you ever saw! :-)

      Being a Poet who gets random poetic lines flying through her head at the oddest times, and who has a husband who doesn't remember the thing you told him to get from the store...even though you've repeated it to him UMPTEEN THOUSAND times!...the idea of a brooch that you can attache to you...a brooch full of colorful pages to boot! :-) ...is a genius idea!

    I've been known myself to crochet up a little colorful brooch... :-)) ...but not one that you can write on too! I'm still working on that...along with the invention of 'Taste-O-Puter' and 'Smell-O-Puter'!! LOL

       I did make some colorful 'Ugly Wuglyee' keychains over the weekend though. I won't be selling them in the shop though. They're strictly for my customers as free gifts...

      I'm sure you can't wait to run over to my Wuglyees shop and buy something now, right?! ^_^ 

      By the way, I also wanted to mention about TandemGifts that the mini-brooch is not the only colorful item in her shop! Look at this...

      Is that cool, or what!! :-) I know some young ladies that would love it!
